The songs that sings Nana are part of my love for Greece, for Athens. Listening her musics was as I started to love Athens and I continue listening it yet. Her deep voice, her way to sing is like touch the Olimpo. Thank you Nana for exist

For all those people on here who say they don't understand Greek, nearly every word Nana sings we derive an English word from. It only needs to be pointed out. Believe me, you already know most Greek vocabulary if you speak any European language except Basque, Hungarian, Finnish or Estonian. Yes, some of it has come via Latin, but it's originally Greek. For example the word yinaika γυναίκα which appears in the pluralin this
When I first heard of Nana Mouskouri in 1980, I went out and bought as many of her records as I could find. I then listened to her for three years non-stop...morning, noon, and night. Αλήθεια, ποιος ξέρει ότι είναι χορικό από τη "Λυσιστράτη"; Αλλά ακόμη και να το ξέρει, ποιος μπορεί να γνωρίζει ότι με την ερμηνεία του πήρα πτυχίο από τον τότε καθηγητή μου Γιάγκο Ανδρεάδη; Τώρα, που είμαι "καθηγητής" και ο ίδιος, σκέφτομαι πολλά... Παραφράζοντας τον Καρυωτάκη... Αχ κύριε Ανδρεάδη, γιατί στο πλαίσιο της επανάστασης χάσαμε τόσα από αυτά που θα μπορούσαμε να μάθουμε; Και τα μάθαμε αργότερα, πολύ δυσκολότερα, μόνοι μας;

“Enas Mithos” is a poignant song performed by the legendary Greek singer Nana Mouskouri. Let’s delve into its meaning and vividly explore the story it tells:
Title Translation:
The title “Enas Mithos” translates to “One Story”, “One Legend”, or “One Tale” in English. It encapsulates the essence of a singular narrative.
Lyric Overview:
The song begins with the narrator promising to share a tale they learned as children.
Once upon a time, there existed a man who ventured into the wilderness, leaving behind civilization.
From that moment onward, he chose to live in the mountains, dedicating himself to hunting.
His decision stemmed from a deep-seated hatred for women, which prevented him from descending back to the village.
The narrator acknowledges the story they were told but hints at another tale they will reveal.
Second Tale:
In this alternate story, a man lived without a home or a place to call his own.
He harbored a fear of other men and carried a terrible hatred within him.
Despite this, he held a unique affection for women, which the narrator believes was genuine.
Themes and Interpretation:
Isolation and Wilderness: The first man’s choice to live in the mountains reflects a deliberate isolation from society. The wilderness becomes his refuge.
Misogyny and Alienation: His hatred for women isolates him further, preventing him from connecting with others.
Contrast:
The second man’s lack of a home and fear of men juxtapose with his love for women. It highlights the complexity of human emotions.
Universal Narratives: The song touches on themes that resonate universally-loneliness, prejudice, and unexpected affections.
Musical Impact:
