I've never ordered from Amazon Japan before, but it seems to be the only way to get my hands on the Mitsubishi pencils. So here goes! 😊 Cool music, by the way, dudette 🥰
I just got these as well. I figured out that these are the same as the Mitsubishi Uni Colored Pencil No. 880. That set is also 36 but with a more "modern" picture on the tin. I swatched both out and they are exactly the same. But I like the Polycolor's retro-looking tin. I also purchased the Uni Mitsubishi No. 888 36 tin at the same time. Has a different picture on the tin and is numbered No. 888. However, TBH, the colors are almost exactly the same (a few greens are different), if in a different order in the tin. Thankfully, it's not the most expensive double-buy to make (triple buy?). I guess now I can use the pencils without having to worry about replacing them. At the same time, I got the Posca 36 set, also made by Uni Mitsubishi, but these are totally different. A very creamy waxy pencil. They must have made them to Posca's specifications. Those also seem the opposite of the harder Uni professional pencil. The Polycore/No. 880 set seems something between the hard Tombow pencil and the creamy Holbein, among Japanese-made colored pencils. Lovely coloring. You used them so well.
Thanks for sharing this information! I was going to buy those too, thinking they were different. Like you, I would not have cared if they were the same because they're lovely pencils! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!😊💕
