I’ve been using Vinted a lot more recently and I really like it but I can’t see there being issues for sure. But hopefully Pro is available soon anyway as it will be great to see how it goes

It's a great app for sure, genuinely love everything it offers, I always look at what the process is when things go wrong though, and currently I'm not sure it's the tightest in that area

That's a valid point about the massive increase in volume of parcels going to these drop off points Kev, Vinted is like the wild west at times even now so god know what it will be like after the Pro side happens! Might turn out to be a case of be careful what you wish for as the grass isn't always greener!

It's something that is on my mind for sure, it's definitely wild out there in Vinted land!

@@TourneySteve but it gives me the option to register though? I’m not a registered business yet but I will be Thursday, surely it wouldn’t give me the option to register an account if it wasent here? I read on vinted it said ‘don’t he surprised if you see it active on other countries not listed here due to our testing’ or something

i've had the same thing happen when i've sold things on E-bay, whenever something says it's being returned to me it never comes back

Providing the buyer has raised the return through eBay and got a label that way, then it would be tracked and have that to fall back on as security 👍🏻

Kev, could you please post a link for the light box or one similar size please?

    • @DiaryOfAReseller
      @DiaryOfAReseller  4 месяца назад

Yeah sure mate, the one I used is 80cm, fits the vast majority of things as you saw the mix I did in this vid 👍🏻, I actually got mine from FB Marketplace place back then (as I love a bargain of course!) but if you search for "light box 80cm" on Amazon you'll find very similar 🙌🏻

100% I agree with you. I sold an expensive item on eBay £250 item. Buyer wanted it sent to Argos pick up point. Buyer didn’t collect it in time so eBay said it was being returned. 3 weeks later no sign of package. We had a Royal Mail tracking number for the return which showed as invalid on Royal Mail website. In the end, called the Argos store and spoke to manager. She looked into it and then it arrived the next day. Manager rang me back and admitted they wait till they have a load of parcels before they actually send them back and then she said sometimes they just donate the items to charity shop next door??? My concern was, who is responsible for the item. Royal Mail has delivered parcel so not them. Me, the seller has sent item and proof it was received in Argos store. So who pays for the refund if necessary???? Moral of the story, not using click and collect for valuable items in the future!!!

HI. about vinted, mine is the item arrived late and the buyer change his mind and didn't pickup the item. so inpost returned the item using the same tracking. but for sure there will be cases that it will be declared as lost.

hey. love you're content. just a couple of questions. are you a full time reseller? secondly what was the tipping point that you decided to stop your "proper job" (lol) and go full time. im juggling a full time job and a 600 item store.

I’d hold off for as long as you can. I went full-time last year and the first year was great (made loads of money etc). So far this year, it has been crap. Roughly the same items etc, just a change in people’s spending habits. I’ve gone from £14k sales a month at my peak, to £5-£7k at most now. It looks to be getting even worse too
This is a tricky year for most people, so unless you are selling stuff that you are confident will sell in a recession, I’d hold off for now.

@ipodgooroo thanks so much. 5-7 k is dream for me. I'm doing about 1.5k. But with only 550 items it's tough going with the full time job too.

@@nickleeson87 you'll get there. eBay is weird right now though, I haven't had any consistency at all this year. Just know that full-time is hard work and can be VERY stressful is sales don't come in. My best advice would be to try to build a bit of a buffer up so that if you don't sell enough, you aren't screwed for cash.
Plenty of people do it full-time, so no reason why you can't

Answered this in my video yesterday if you haven't seen 🙌🏻 But answered well in this thread as well already! Definitely be happy with what you're achieving before jumping in, there are many many different angles to approach reselling with, numbers will only be relevant to you as you know what you're spending 👍🏻

You’ll probably find the buyer has the package and has just claimed otherwise. Thats the issue!
