One thing you can do is leave an arrogant person to their own devices and it will just drive them crazy. Arrogant people can't stand to go Unoticed or be left alone cause they need that attention to be empowered don't give it to them.

*What you're doing is called ostracisation and that's not fair. Arrogance comes out of ignorance. What you should do is educate someone and you don't educate people by hating them and ignoring them. Arrogance = ignorance. And just because you ostracise someone with a group of people doesn't make y'all any better than that person... it puts you on the same level as them. Maybe that's why Jesus said to love your enemies because maybe you'll find the humanity in them and realise that they don't hate everyone and obviously just have unmet needs and it's coming off as arrogance. There isn't a single person in this entire history of humanity that hated absolutely everyone except themselves: that is true arrogance. Thinking you're better than other people. That shit is a defence mechanism when people like you ostracise other people over absolutely forgivable petty shit. You sound Victorian as FUCK... you don't sound utopian or modernized. You have an "I live in a castle and peasants live in their huts". You're the arrogant person.*

Being kind and compassionate doesn't always work. I doubt it would work even 50% of the time.
At least from men to men. The reason is simply because that can be seen as weakness, and it will make the arrogant person feel even more like they are superior to you.
I've tried to be kind and show empathy towards arrogant people in an argument. But it only makes things worse.

Ugh, we have a high-ranking chef at my catering job who is stuck up. On one of her first days, we were doing a service at this university's hockey/basketball location, and she was telling us how to do things the "right" way, acting like an experienced leader. Thing is, _we've_ been doing this service for years; _she_ was new, and already acting like she knew better than us. She practically said she was better than us. And last week, she got in my face about filter. Apparently I said something wrong, but I don't even know what; she never specified, and she told me I can only talk about work and school. That is absurd and unreasonable. And the next day, she told me she wasn't trying to give it to me (while gesturing like an angry person), she was trying to help me be successful. Oh, why? Because I'm a big Ioser without her help?

As human beings, we are endowed with individual talents and abilities that can be honed through practice and learning.
While you may be a prodigy in drawing, your friend or coworker may be a genius in Mathematics. No-one has it all.
Interestingly, we could learn and sharpen certain skills we admire about a particular individual, which we never seemed to possess at first. It's all a matter of showing a genuine quest for knowledge, asking good questions and making the time to study.
However, if you are unsuccessful in acquiring that skill through studying or emulation, the least you can do is to admire the owner of that talent while striving on improving yourself -- identifying your own talent and working hard to excel it.
Why must you spend sleepless nights brooding over why you were not created like somebody else?
When we are dissatisfied with ourselves, we tend to compare ourselves with certain individuals who remind us of our shortcomings.
Strangely, the admiration we had for such individuals metamorphose into mixed feelings of friendliness and resentment, which is as corrupt as the Devil himself.
As we harbour bitter envy towards a neighbour or friend because an aspect of their personality reminds us of our inadequacies, we unkowingly invite darkness into our souls. Of course, you may be a professing christian, but what envy does to you is turn you into a vessel for afflicting the brethren.
Do not willfully become an instrument of pain, for a heavy retribution awaits anyone who chooses to be deliberately harmful.
This book sheds light on the nature and effects of envy -- and how to repent from such malice!

They have such a sense of entitment. If you do this, just know that the retail clerk HATES you. You aren't special, Important or better than anyone else. I'm legitimately about to cut my brother out of my life due to his arrogance. We have arguments here and there, and no matter how many sources I give him, how many facts I give him, how many logical explanations I give him it doesn't matter. He says "oh, how do you know thats the truth? Their humans that are flawed, books and history arent reliable. I told him certain books made me a better person because they helped me realize things about my life I didn't see before. He arrogantly says "how has that made you a better person?" No matter what I tell him, it's wrong or he questions how I know it for certain. Yet he will give his opinion, not give me any sources or foundation for his arguments. He just says "it's a known fact." But when I use his own logic against him he says I'm an idiot. He just seems hopeless at this point. Sucks, because i love my brother to death, but he's honestly a piece of shit person. Doesn't matter how many people point out the same things to him, he thinks everyone else is stupid and wrong and don't know anything.

Nice video and bit funny to be honest. Not sure I agree with your stance that being arrogant and half truths go hand in hand exclusively.
Many might consider me a tad arrogant during meetings. I generally know a lot of stuff by hearth. I have an average intelligence, but I do take the effort of preparing when we go into a meeting. Reading up on general info and specific details about our departments.
So when we enter a meeting I do tent to be a bit dismissive towards people who don't have the common decency to know basic details on the topic at hand, but try to dominate the conversation with suggestions that are not even feasible. If this happens once or twice I can manage, but if a person keeps doing this meeting after meeting I think a reasonable argument could be made that this person is pretty arrogant as well if they don't seem the value my time and expect other people to do the legwork for them. A very social person to many, but an arrogant one (albeit on a slightly other level) none the less.
If I have to choose between working with people who are arrogant but knowledgeable about what they are talking about or very collaborative people who are thinking soo far out of the box that it doesn't make any sense, I'll take the arrogant ones every time. 😁
Some food for thought or maybe worth a video.

I have the last word regarding this because I've never gotten what I've truly wanted in life and that's peace. When you have peace and you're treating people with disrespect, you're arrogant. Look at the luxury so many people live in and then look at what I'm living in. I know my rights so all of this is unfair. I don't have to apologize to anyone except myself for having been ignorant at a point and not understanding that I have rights and that I'm valuable enough to say "fuck you" to anyone that's disturbing my peace. My mom is one of those people.*
