One thing that makes me wonder about these plans vs my own experience is the difference between capital growth in the portfolio vs dividend income. Our portfolio continues to grow in captital value while we are more than able to live on the dividend income, its almost like a private annuity. In fact, the dividend income increases at a rate greater than inflation as well, so our income keeps getting better every year. It would be great to see if the software could differentiate between these two types of growth.. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around $200k to a decent 7 figures in the space of a few months...Thanks to Kerrie Farrell insights, daily trade signals, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings. Kudos to the journey ahead!.
Kerrie is very sound in analysis and her service delivery is top notch. I am so grateful to her for her assistance which has made me a much better and profiting trader..
The premium car wash give the undercarriage a wash. Living in snow country, that keeps my car from rusting. A rusted out car would decrease the value of my vehicle, and could lead to higher repair expenses. Plus, having a clean undercarriage keeps the salt and chemicals off my garage floor. It’s worth the extra $5 per month on an unlimited car wash subscription.
I gotta say, particularly as someone who doesn’t actually buy Fiji regularly but has had it on occasion - it’s the only water I’ve ever had that I felt I could genuinely taste the difference. And somehow it’s just incredibly soft. Worth a one time purchase just to try 😄
Business class flights aren't for the class benefits, its to price out adults traveling with children. You're paying a premium to greatly increase your odds that nearby travelers can't or won't pay it for small children.
I would also add, too much money spent on unnecessary pet toys, CLOTHES, beds, "exclusive organic foods" that makes the dog poop sparkle, etc. I understand that people want their fur babies taken cared for, but many over do it. I took my sister's dog to the dog park and I saw a dog in a cardigan sweater.
The only thing I disagree on is the business class long haul flights. It's not just the flight experience, but your entire day or two afterwards. I've flow the 12 hr overnight Vancouver to Taipei flight multiple times in the past. The flight leaves at 2am and arrives in Taipei at 6am (local times). I used to always fly economy and I would arrive feeling completely drained. I would waste the entire first 2 days jetlagged and feeling like my world is spinning. This time, I tried a business flight and what a difference it made. I was well-rested on the plane and was able to start exploring the city as soon as I got off the plane. For short flights, don't bother. However, if you have an important trip coming up, shell out the money for better seats, at least on the way there.
mineral water like San Pellegrino tastes entirely different than tap water! I prefer Gerolsteiner, it has a nice balance of salts and minerals. Yes it costs like $2.30 and I drink 3-4 bottles a week. I could save this money and invest it.. But honestly I would not feel the difference. I am retiring in 1.5 years, and if I switched to tap water, I would still be retiring in 1.5 years.. 😅 The biggest expense I could save on at this point is going out to eat. It costs me and my wife an extra $1000 a month. Yes I could save and invest the extra 12k each year, but it wouldn't change our retirement plans either.
I personally don't get luxury hotel. You travel is to see the world, so hotel to me personally is just for me to stay the night and majority of my time will be spent outdoor. As long as they are clean, it does not matter
0/24 (we’re not going out so no tipping), yet still feel poor. No debt except primary house mortgage, some emergency fund (less than 3 months of expenses), better than many, yet still feel poor. Likely too much of a house and too many kid toys and classes.
You had me until the hotels lol if I'm going on vacation and I don't go often, the hotel needs to be really nice doesn't have to be the Waldorf but the hotel is part of the experience
One thing I disagree about is a really good stroller. This thing can make or break you as a parent after several years and use across multiple kids. Spend the extra 500 bucks.
Only folks who have not stayed at a Ritz Carlton would think it was a waste. It may not be the best investment, but it is definitely a hotel experience that is not easily forgotten.
I disagree with checked bag fees. My wife is an insane overpacker. Unless I want to pay half of my net worth in a divorce settlement, I’m better off paying the fee. As for the credit card linked to an airline, it is useless half the time. Problem? It has to be one airline. And when I book, I book the cheapest flight regardless of airline and most of the time, it is NOT the carrier for that card. What is the point of “saving” on the bag fee if you are paying +$70 more for the flight each person?
Disagree with luxury car wash in states that get snow and therefore have salted roads. Those upper tiers have underbody and wax applications. The wax can help protect from things like salt but also insects and bird droppings. The underbody wash is self explanatory. The damage from everyday items on a car in decent shape will cost you more than the extra protection you get from the upgraded wash.
I just sold an old Doona stroller on CL, the person buying the stroller turned out to be a VP of a baby food company. Was interesting to think about how they were still smart on saving money on used gear that still works great.
For car washes, one time, after my car was shipped cross country and filthy, I ran my car through the car wash 3x at the basic clean which was much cleaner than 1x at Deluxe.
I only book business class via points if the flight is longer than 9 hours. There is another trick on getting them discounted as well that I like to do. Sometimes they end up being just as much as an Econ ticket
I use the American Airlines card when I fly to avoid the checked bag fee. Also, I really only fly like once a year and it’s for vacation. Two 6 hour flights from the East Coast to Hawaii is exhausting, so I treat myself to first class seats and enjoy the extra comfort.
Is the price of an Index Fund relevant? Some are twice the price of others and if they both go up $1 then the lower price one goes up twice as much percentage wise is why asking. Thanks!
There is no reason why they would both go up $1 if they are different price, most probably they are going to go up/down the same percentage. So no, the price of an index fund is not relevant. Well, unless it is really big and you need to sell a small amount
Quick question, how do you think bank/credit card fees will change IF the US implements interest rate caps as to how much banks/credit cards can charge?
Thanks Tae! Though depending on the location a second home can be a great investment. Where I live, I’ve seen property values increase more yearly than my income.
The only time I go to a luxury hotel is to use the platinum card's FHR credit. Other than that, I just get a normal hotel or Abnb because the hotel is just a place for me to sleep it. Why do I have the platinum? Its my generic airplane ticket card, because unlike chase or venture x, its not just tied to their portal, and it's 5x on all airlines.
"save your hard-earned money"...if it's not to spend it on nice things, then for what? Now, I understand balance and financially-responsibility etc. ME? I will be spending money for a little nicer mode of travelling 😁
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Extended warranties are worth it if you use them properly. Bought a laptop, a month before the warranty ran out I cloned my hard drive and sent the laptop for repairs; they didn’t carry the model so we got the newer one, loaded our cloned hard drive and everything was fine. I’ve done it with my headphones, after two years of using my headphones I turn them in and get new ones.
I never thought one book could make such a difference, but The Secret Doctrine of Wealth changed everything for me. It’s not something you forget easily.
Hmmm, I pretty much give to any organization that asks through the grocery line, pet stores, round up at the gas station, etc. If I am suspicious of intentions I wouldn't give, but feel a few bucks at these places are worthwhile.

I worked for PepsiCo in Texas. The bottled water we bottled came from the city of Mesquite after being filtered, just the same as your house.

Exactly what I keep telling my family. It's all tap water.
It’s all tap water except the brand I buy. My brand is tears from angels and it heals my body. Well that’s what the marketing says. 😂😂😂

Ooooor get your car professionally sprayed with lanolin oil every two years. Stops the rust process and you don't need to wash the undercarriage.
@@andreasb8232 well I am going to wash my car several times a month anyhow, so I will stick with the $5 per month upgrade.
