I love your sense of humour so much. It really is special, I love when I realise you've posted another video. Your art is so freaking amazing! All of those leaves are gorgeous
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I really loved how creative you are with your drawings, I would love to watch a video of yours where you show where you get your ideas :)
I’m with everyone else here and I liked the 2nd leaf too lol But yeah that 3rd leaf is so good. Love leaf studies bc they are imperfect in themselves and so organic. Looking forward to hearing more about the color pencils brands. I have a set of prisma but maybe they’re a cheaper line of theirs bc they are too….waxy?? Need to look into it.
Thank you! Yeah at first I was so intimidated by them, but then I found out it's actually so fun to draw leaves! And I'm not sure for the prismacolors, I know some can be waxy unfortunately 😕
OK YES NO ONE ELSE TALKS ABOUT THIS I feel like everyone loves Prismacolor pencils and uses them all the time, but like I can't stand them because of the waxiness or whatever it is, it's awful. I keep wondering if I have the wrong kind or something too 😂
These look great!!!!!! Your colors and shading with pencils are always amazingggggg Maybe the problem with the second leaf is the overall shape of it? Your drawing doesn't really have the part where the leaf goes up, like yours just curves and then ends and goes right into the stem, but in the reference there's a part of the leaf that goes straight up and then the stem goes from that. Reference leaf goes: ➡️ Base ↗️ Body ⬆️ Top of leaf ↖️ Stem Your leaf goes: ➡️ Base ↗️ Body ⬆️ Stem I have no idea if that makes any sense lollllll hopefully it helps maybe. And I hope this didn't come across as know-it-all, this was just what I noticed as you were drawing and I thought I'd give my two cents ❤ Keep up the amazing work!!!!! I'm excited to see the next drawing!!!!
I think that if You would chose a cool tone for the cast shadow it would make the leaves more pop out. But I'm beginner so maybe I should be quiet. In Europe the polychromos are the cheapest of all 3 brands, so I have a lot of them, but only few Holbein. Can't wait for Your video about polychromos.
I used a purple for the cast shadow, for me that's as cool as it gets lol I'm pretty sure prismacolor is cheapest here in Canada but they stopped selling individuals which sucks a lot
I think the second leaf is more the leaf's issue and not yours 😂 ur drawing looks like s true to life replica its just that poor thing had seen better days and that wasn't its best side. I got some of those mechanical pencils with colorful lead after I saw u using them a while back. I love them! Thanks for sharing that supply with us.
Oh I love those pencils!! Thank you for your kind words about the leaf hahah 😂 I dunno why I picked it, and also why I made it harder on myself by turning the image
If you’re looking for a more blended look you can take a colorless blender and go over everything (add a good amount of pressure when doing it through) and maybe that’ll give the look you’re going for? If you don’t have a colorless blender on hand you can also use a white colored pencil. I would totally suggest doing a simple color gradient before doing a full project 😅 would feel bad if you hated this technique after working on something for so long
I've used a colourless blender before I find it difficult to do layering with it. But I achieved the amount of blending I was looking for in this so no worries! Thanks!
I feel so identify with the idea of avoiding drawing things I think I won't be able to get right. I also try to push myself with that. For me is faces and stones 🙄
Aww thank you so much! It's a builder gel from a Canadian brand called Bandi. The colour name is cover peach and its available at sweetienailsupply (insta)
hey i know you live in canada, since trump won president, i was wondering what places in canada is good for me to live and places to avoid (i want to mention i also hate snow but im from minnesota so i know how to deal with it)

I personally love using odorless turps with paper stumps for a smooth blend 🙂
Ouuu interesting!

Ou ya those are both tough subjects and are very frustrating when it's not going the way you planned! I think because of all the nuances
I know you don’t like how it turned out but I like the jalapeño leaf. :3
