@@squash6822 Nah I run weapon mastery whenever I'm playing HR legitimately to sweat it out. In solo/duos/trios. I don't run it in normals ever cuz normals isn't for sweating lol. Solo fighter recurve bow is just too important to contest wizard/warlock. Rangers you can style on with movement unless they're a god gamer since they don't have hit scan like wizard/warlock. Also can't close on a bard so need the bow for them too.
Melee is legitimately barely in the game outside niche trios set ups and most trios fights consist of kiting a buffball for 5mins while spamming ranged attacks until you gain an advantage to then chase them while they kite you lol. 4 melee fights in 25 solo hr runs this wipe. Outright stopped playing HR cuz it's boring shooter simulator imo

How in the world would that make sense for game feel or realism??? We have shields for a reason. They should make it so plate armor negates all damage from arrows unless it's a specific ability on ranger. Or specificly longbows and heavy crossbows
@@bladeRoller No one should be able to negate projectile damage entirely whatsoever, there just needs to be more damage reduction for them added on to armor. With this stupid ass ranged meta going on, I don't see why they won't just make it more viable to run high projectile resist by making it 10x more accessible.

You made a good point. Nobody wants to play against a class that can just kite all day and never get punished. There should be a decent amount of risk involved with PVP otherwise victory will feel undeserved.

I'd love to see a MS CAP at 100%. This movement speed meta is very strange and unfun in most cases. What do you think? Cap out movement?
The one thing I love about longsword warlock is the ability to heal off mobs with shadow touch, cause I tend to miss a few riposte blocks. Meanwhile with fighter, the only way I can heal it back without wasting pots is through second wind.
Kill mobs with victory strike to heal, and get hit less often i guess
When you hit the e in demon form it makes the subsequent attacks against the target heal for a % of max hp for a few seconds, I think if they hit the target and additional enemies in the same swipe it heals multiple times
5% of the target's max hp, and each combo swing deals 200%. The key is never getting hit by their clunky, predictable attacks and having a really boring "block, hit. block, hit" fight
A big problem is the ratio of melee vs ranged viable classes has shifted as the game developed.
When I started there were 6 classes, and only two of them (ranger and wizard) were ranged focused. I.e. 4:2 melee vs ranged.
Now we have 9 classes, with warlock and bard being more ranged viable than melee (caster and survival bow being prevalent), as well as rogue receiving more focus towards hand crossbow than melee with hide changes. Now the ratio is something like 5 ranged-centric classes to 4 melee. The balance has changed from literally double the melee classes vs ranged to more ranged, and the mechanics have not caught up.
If ironmace is going to keep some classes melee focused, then they need other mechanics or abilities to bridge the gap. They seemed to be trying this by buffing armor movespeed, but then completely undid the improvements by killing sprint and massively decreasing plate's PDR and projectile resistance, leaving fighter worse off than it was before.
Fighter should take zero penalties for wearing plate 😊
Speaking as a wiz and warlock player there has always been counter play to fighers using sprint... Def didn't need to be nerfed as hard as it was

For lizardman and lycan they should make some helmets like hoods available to them atleast or introduce helmets specific to them / a way to alter a helmet to fit a lizard for a fee
The WHOLE entire point of lizards and lycans is they can't wear a helmet in exchance for a slight buff

Their stat bonuses should be % or gear score based. If you're all in gray gear lizardman is great. Once you start wearing greens or above it's worse in every way.
I don't think melee playstyles will ever shine untill they change movement speed, without the zone 90% of fights are just ranged encounters with only noobs going for melee, or druids who run from every encounter.

I tried to get it saved, i knew the nerfs were coming, change sprint to 20-30 MS and -50% armor move speed penalty.
i had a bug where neither click would let me set starter gear, now its fixed but i assume it was a bug they patched
I know people will complain about it but they should half the cast speed of all spells maybe more, increase their damage, and increase the draw time on bows but increase their damage. Slinging arrows and spells should feel slow and impactful rather than spammy. Especially with the buff to vigor having a harder-hitting attack with more risk due to move speed and cast time would feel better than having to direct a barbarian 5 times. I believe both classes would enjoy that change.

Give bows passive MS% (just a little) reduction even if you don't have it on your hands and make anyone other than rangers tremble their aim a bit when using it.
Also make curses increase speed to a max of 10% (like C.of Pain +3%)
@@pardolagames8994 the passive ms%nerf to bows regardless of if it’s equipped will just feel horrible or not do enough. I believe even a 5% penalty would be too little because of perks like crippling shot and forceful shot. 10% and you’d be on the same move speed as a plate fighter. Personally that would feel horrible I would never play that class. You could nerf move speed while drawing to a level similar to the long bow but I think without a buff they just get ran down. It’s why people don’t use the long bow right now. As for the curse buff you mentioned that would just force warlocks to max move speed to cap so nothing is faster than them which is already what they are building kit wise. You’d run into the same issue. And again you can keep over tuning it till it works by making curses raise move speed cap or something but I think that the gameplay loop would stay the same you’d just be forcing that to be the only playstyle.
@@aq441 true and when it’s overturned warlock and wizard feel horrible to play that’s why I suggested both a buff and nerf. Even right now they feel bad curses feel like you are throwing paper balls at the enemies. The classes are viable only because of how well they kite they don’t feel fun. Wizard is still alright but some spells have just fallen off because of the nerfs. Like I can’t see wizards taking zap right now. It has low damage and was heavily reliant on add or true mag. I don’t want to use 7 zaps to kill a barb it makes kiting the only method that works.
Demonform E doesn't seem to be bugged, it heals for a % of the *target's* hp per hit. So if you're hitting a mummy with 500 hp it heals for a lot more than hitting a player. I've tried to make demon work many times but it just seems really niche. Almost guarantee you would have beat him with equal hp and no mobs hitting you.
One important thing to add is the swing combos for 200% dmg, so facetanking the hits can be super dangerous

I don’t think reducing ms on swords will do anything. What about halberd, battleaxe, flanged mace, and spear? (Already bad on fighter but would be worse)

its kinda boiled down to fighter just isn't good for solos specifically because of how the game currently is. its still bis in trios and arguably very good in duos but without someone to be an anchor for and make aggressive or defensive plays you simply cant catch the majority of ppl unless they want the engage which they will only ever do if they have the advantage already
Yeah sadly this has the same sentiment as to why I switched to warlock this season. I wanted solo to be easy mode because I didn't wanna struggle to get to DG.
I haven't played fighter in a while. Perhaps putting Sprint and Breakthrough into 1 skill could help?
I predict IM will probably increase the skill to like 25 or maybe even 30 again though.

This is the best version of the game that has come out, by far. I've played since PT1. Of course you are not going to run down a bard with move speed buffs in full plate and longsword out. You need to sheath the weapon and spam axes. There are counters -- none were used here. I'm not hating at all. Additionally fighters can use bows and crossbows which are completely broken.
@@drewmorg. No, fighters cant use bows unless you sacrifice a WHOLE ASS PERK for it and it still debuffs you -10% phys pwr. Crossbow takes most fighters (without action speed) too long to reload. I agree the game as a whole is the best it has ever been, but I play fighter, i really like the class, been playing since pt4, I have 1.5k+ hours. Fighter has been mediocre at best the entire time, there has always been a better frontline, the class does not have anything "specific" to itself, not anything unique to make it strong, and now they took the ONLY thing we could use to be able to FIGHT as a class called FIGHTER. Right now there is no way you can catch anyone who is not also a plate fighter. Spam axes? Bro you can only equip 1 per utility slot and putting a new one in takes like 3 seconds of equipping, what are you even talking about.

Tbh alot of these ranged cornballs are baitable. You just gotta play like an idiot and then pretend your hp is in the kill zone. Soon as they get too close is when you can turn around and punch them to death (this does ofc require ditching plate for leather armor)
Just started and am still a free to play. I picked fighter because everyone said it was a good all around and I didn't like that barbarian had a slower interaction speed. I'm almost level 60 as fighter and have been regretting my decision since about level 30. I feel I'm too far in to delete the character and start over but still don't have the breathing room in my budget to consider dropping the $30 yet. It just feels like I can't do anything against most classes and I'm further shooting myself in the foot by trying to get good with longsword, but it feels like the parry hitbox is a coin toss.

I mean it’s the same reason as to why Cleric is so boring. The speed at which the game goes is brutal. And every class that is Agility or spell oriented is just going to be way more fun.
I've maxed out barb and fighter this wipe, but man, its been rough. The vast majority of my deaths have been to warlocks. There is such a disparity between melee and ranged/caster classes now more so than ever. If you play melee the disadvantage you are putting yourself in is undebatable. Warlock is just better than fighter in nearly every way. I consistently dookie on rangers and wizards and I don't have any real complaints about fighting them, bards are annoying and are extremely dangerous and fast but I feel like me dying to them is my fault in most situations, same with druids, there are ways to combat them. Warlocks? I've had fights with them where i've significantly out-geared them, outplayed them, done everything right and still lost. Their ability to kite, heal very quickly and efficiently circumventing using pots, escape with phantomize whenever they please, outrun and out dps even a fighter with very high dmg bows and stacked dmg stats with infinite resources to do so, surpass your pdr and protection pots, block doors/avoid and heal off mobs and their own summons is insane dude. It leaves you feeling like there isn't anything you can do and in the video what you did to that one fighter trapped in the mummy room, like what could he have done to win that fight, yknow? I've tried so many different combinations of stat stacks and weapon choices (although my favorite and main is still the longsword) and I haven't found a reliable way to beat a warlock who knows what hes doing as a melee class, especially prevalent in high roller and big boy normals.
Fighter is not too weak, the Warlock is just way too overpowered. A character with no weaknesses it seems.
Warlock is just unfun to play against. Ranger is too.

IM fucks up literally every single thing. Steam release? False advertising, baiting people into buying the game because IM couldn't tell them it's a demo. Ice abyss? Wyvern requires pre teaming(a bannable offense) to even summon it, not to mention actually killing it. New druid class? Had a month to see how insanely broken it is on the test server and still release it without proper nerfs.

They butchered fighter sprint, its not even worth running it. I use adrenaline rush and its also not great but better then a terrible sprint. My disabled dog runs faster...
As a fighter main I think the sprint nerf was absolutely deserved for slayer fighter but it came with the undeserved consequence of pdr fighter getting way more counters than it already had
LOL it was nerfed because PDR was able to catch any class! They did not nerf it because of slayer, they nerfed it because ppl in full plate were able to catch up to people that they shouldn't of been able to. The trade off to wearing full armor is that your slow, so you cant whine that classes that you kill in 2 hits are faster than you. Now all they need to do is nerf how fast barbarians can be. Like you cant be mad that you are slow when you are running a tank build.

Were talking about how the playable characters are balanced. Nobody can tank like fighter or cleric. Not saying its the best class, but saying that fighter isnt good because it uses bows like ranger to a less effective degree is not sound logic. Ranger cannot take 2 hits from an axe skelly. We just watched Sparky get hit 2x from an axemen, and he still had 75% hp. You cannot have cake and eat it too.

It'll be rough for a while but hopefully with sprint burst nerfed they can adjust fighter in other ways. Sprint burst has always basically been the best ability in the game, just look at the multiclassing test when every melee and a good chunk of ranged classes ran sprint burst. That being said fighter is far from the best class and has been hard crutching on sprint burst for a while.
To be honest, slayer fighter was faster than most classes... it hits very hard, has range and speed. Not using range is a choice
People didn’t like slayer so they wanted an entire class nerfed made no sense to me. Also fighter is a melee class wjo is worse at ranged than all other ranged classes. Why do I have to play the ranged game at a massive disadvantage just because I fight a ranged class?
@@SparkykawaI think part of the issue is that sprint was an ability that plate fighters kinda needed but slayer fighters could really abuse (particularly in the scrubby common normal lobbies I play in.) I could just be trash but +7 weapon damage and 50+ ms on an already fast kit is pretty oppressive for most other classes in that bracket in solos, particularly ones that have really poor scaling at base. It's definitely different in duos and trios. I could be wrong but as a mediocre player who loves this game that's just kinda how I've felt. Slayer feels like it just gets too much in normal lobbies and not enough in HR, or trio queue for that matter.
Not sure what the solution is. I'd say sprint just needs to be reworked to something else. Like maybe keep it at 40 but you lose the speed when you let go of W or make an attack, then shorten the cd.
They need to rework how ranged dmg functions, not nerf it, not limit it so oh you have to jump through more hoops to spam throwables, they need to FUNDAMENTALLY rework it. But its obviously not easy? If it were it would have been done by now I truly thing. On the flipside a lot of people are used to fps games, so the fact that it is incentivized here is not unusual to compete with other games. At the end of the day range dmg will always be better in real life, in games, in everything. Why do you think the op or awp is overpowered in their respective games? because it is the BEST ranged weapon, and range is always better throughout history.

i got 2k hours and in my opinion 50 flat add MS was just too much, glad sprint got nerfed. Running cap MS with pdr plate on and your weapons out was not balanced at all.. love the videos tho man, by far my favorite longsword bro out there! (:

@@Sparkykawa I phrased it that way to make it as short as possible. Dark plate armor, with like a chapel de fer, and whatever gloves, but you wear loose trousers and lightfoots or laced w MS rolls then everything else PDR and MDR. With 50 flat add MS button it wasn't hard to build 300 MS w weapons out.. especially w the help of swift. I've done and saw it a ton. Even if your not running at cap your getting realllllly close and classes centered around kiting had to work way harder to build way more MS and lose out on other stats just to be able to have a chance at kiting a fighter (unless your a warlock lol). It's a bit easier for kiting classes now cause 320 MS cap but same could be said for fighter as well.. only needing to hit at least 300MS to be able to reach cap w sprint still.
@@NollieBigflips Last wipe was full of rangers and rogues who were MS cap with hands out passively. I just don't see how it matters that (even if what you're saying is true, as a lizardman I've literally never hit MS cap with sprint + weapons out) you match their speed for 6 secs with sprint active, then they go back to being faster than you.
@@Sparkykawa it's everything fighters have to compliment sprint I'd say. With crossbows or weapon mastery w windlass or bows and second wind. Swift and the armor rating perk. I love my fighter. It's just.. even the data showed when multiclass came it was very apparent that sprint was the best ability in the game and how broken it actually is building PDR MDR and HP which are straight fighter stats imo. I've watched you a ton as your one of my fav DaD youtubers.. I think your hilarious dude! so I appreciate you not like getting upset about my stand point and just offering your opinion on the debate! Holy Cope, A insane movement speed skill with no downside gets nerfed and you say the class is bad, using longsword in a range dominated game isn't smart. Learn to utilize all the strengths of the class and if u dont want to then thats your fault and u deserve to suffer, you make the choise to go shield mastery for a longsword instead of weapon mastery to give u a chance vs ranged classes.

@@Sparkykawa every class main is going to be biased. There is a reason so many fighters are running around. I'm a druid main as of the moment and even I think they need to be tuned down post nerf. Slayer fighter is very strong, plate fighter is strong but has counters as it should. But you say it's one of the worst classes when they have one of the best skills in the game (sprint) is biased. If we buff that class it'll be like rogue when that was at it's peak. You'd see it more then you already do, actually you would be overrun with fighter players. I would love to see the statistics of the percentage we have now, it'll probably be pretty high.
@@koohwhip27 I bring up objective facts to explain why fighter is bad now in the video. You calling sprint the best ability in the game is so far from the truth its hard to even respond to it. So I ask you, how is a 6.67% increase in movespeed for 6 seconds with a 34 second cooldown the best ability? How is it not literally trash?
@@Sparkykawa sorry let me clarify, if used correctly. Sprint is one of the best skills. Movement speed is hands down the most broken stat in DND. And I do apologize for putting you in Todd's category. That mf is unbearable. But sprint is a S tier skill if at the lowest A. Rangers infinitely kite with a fighter having 0 way to catch up to/run away from them,
rogues are 4 tapping 50% pdr fighters rn, being able to run around in circles and never be caught even if they do fail to landmine them,
bard is able to take away a huge chunk of fighters pdr making him even more of a sitting duck,
warlocks can 4-5 hit a fighter with 140hp because magical damage bonus stacks way too crazy, can easily outrun/outheal/recover/get away from any fighter with phantomize,
wizards can cast one fireball and your half hp,
druid can stun and completely melt a fighters hp bar with their magic lightning bolt,
clerics can stack just as much pdr while doing much more damage (because mdr is extremely hard to stack).
Even with barbarians and slayer fighters, two main melee classes will run away and throw shit at you and there’s nothing u can do about it.
Fighter is the most useless class in the game(in solo play) and there is no denying it. Saying it’s not is simply a sign of mental illness.

People need to understand that this is an fps game and not a melee game. The melee only exists to supplement the ranged gameplay (punish their bad spacing when they have range weapon or consumable out) or possibly trading to force a win when you've landed more shots. This is how it should be, this game would be dogshit without range because of how skilless the melee is. Play mord or chiv 2 if you want a melee game, if they aren't going to add actual melee mechanics into this game then it's better off as an fps, at least there's some skill expression with aim and making reads when you lead you shots.

lets be honest 50 ms is fuking 100 agility this skilll neeed to be nerfed
50ms is 16.67% movespeed. Rage is 12%, ambush and phantomize are 10%. All the other move skills have secondary benefits. Sprint doesn’t. Also 50ms is not 100 agility. This is untrue
@@Sparkykawa 16% speed and no down sides, 12% speed and die faster, 10% speed and literally cant do anything but die to a wizard. calling the others "secondary benefits" is insanely cope compared to sprint.

Solo Barb nerfed because of the trios meta and now same thing happened to Slayer Fighters, you are able to USE A BOW and its a very valuable utility to have, so you guys need to get good and adapt like solo Barbs.
