Fyi as you lvl up resource gathering you will eventually get to a point where you are able to tt everything back and almost always break even on ped and the times you dont break even ull only get about 90percent back or youll get30%more not counting markups. You can even global on trees . My bigger global so far on a tree was 20ped with multiple 10ped hits.
@@obbldudeTV it mostly depends on what areas i hit but its at the point now where i know if i go out and do a full tt run of my reaper harvesting tool and like 3 or 4 tt harvesters for the smaller trees i almost always come back with 95-100%returns if you count markup its usually around 110 % returns on every planet except Calypso. Im at lvl 23 or so resource gathering
I am going to be real with ya man. i kinda think the same thing with the reasource gatherer. but dont really know. but looter skills are important. and do help to keep your ammo positive.
That’s what I’m overall trying to figure out it would make sense even based on the skills description in game. I’m seeing if I can see a difference by getting it up about 8 or 9 levels and check back and see. Im almost at level 7 for resource gathering and with it being at a low level should be able to notice something. I will say going from 4 to 6 I’m seeing a slight positive difference.
If your wanting to exploit the trees bud, you have two options where you can go bonkers, Hell on RockTropia and then that special little Oasis of Trees and no mobs on Next Island, and people actually buy the wood on N.I
I usually just stay on Caly for what ever I'm doing. I might be visiting another planet soon and depositing a small bankroll there for now. I usually go by cape corinth or near port atlantis. Video on tree cutting coming soon =) I need to do more melee and VSE myself.
I may end up doing some stuff on other planets as well and when I'm higher level I deff wanna visit foma and stuff but Caly will usually be my home and where I'm at. hbu? Any good planets you like to do thing on?
If it's for cutting trees, it would have to be on rocktropia, cyrene( it has a weekly challenge for cutting trees and you get a reward in the form of L blueprints) and then calypso, but there's probably other good places, the other awesome thing about cutting trees is that none of the skills you gain from it are locked, which means when you start cutting you get FULl skills!
@@senpaimike9014 I didn’t realize that about the locked skills that’s pretty sweet that you get the full skills I might have to try out those tree cutting challenges one day
@@obbldudeTVman don't waste your time trying to cut trees on caly. Go to Cyrene and do the mission there you out won't regret it at all and you'll never cut trees on caly again lol
loot is always different you just need to know when to continue and when to stop - ressource gatherer is good to push professions and especially looter skills that influence hunting loot but there is no proof or statement regarding mining. But yeah i would still grind it as its better to have skills then not you never know when something might change :)
I would say overall I’m break even as far as mining my hunting is usually minimal but I lose more hunting which naturally will happen. Once all the skills goes up it gets easier. In this game breaking even is pretty much profit. However when it comes to equipment cost like the f-106 especially in 100% down but in the long term can pay off. Naturally being profitable with hunting is one of the hardest things to do. So I would say I’m slightly down with hunting.
It’s hard to tell the wiki can be pretty unreliable but based on what I saw it does contribute a small portion to some looter skills but at the same time is a stand alone profession as well I think of it like enhancing the rate vs looter skill which is more the type of loot whether it’s more shrapnel or something better with markup.

Fyi go to cyrene tho to grow this skill efficiently. Way easier harvesting areas with more active lumber jacks , a few good quests related to trees
That’s interesting to note. Yeah they say it’s supposed to be like 95% but honestly it seems more like 90 to me

I think I heard about that good to know 😎
Yeah it's one of my favorite things to do its up there with VSE and Melee weapons... do you have a planet you like to cut treed on?

The proof may be in the results and the back tests
A wise man once said, give me 5 hours to chop a tree and I'll spend 4 of those sharpening the axe..
Are you profitable in this game?

Resource Gathering only contributes to one profession as per eu wiki. It aint no looter though. Might have been a coincidence?
