Someone who knows what they really talking about and not just saying the same shit they read or heard somewhere else is refreshing. Loved your last video and this one was even better imo laughed pretty hard when it came to warlock with all the dots on 1v1.
Great vid. Couple things on paladin: 1) The stun DR on seal of command does not affect HoJ, "controlled" stuns (HoJ, Kidney etc.) are on a different DR to "uncontrolled" stuns (Seal of command, unstoppable force, chances to proc stuns). 2) If they take avengers shield they can daze upto 3 targets, thus slowing them, the tooltip says for 10 sec but I think that will be different in pvp. It also comes at the expense of not taking the interrupt rune. 3) No cleanse sucks cus it removes magic, but they still get purify for poison and disease. Really enjoyed this though and look forward to deeper dives in future.
Yo man. I never comment but I must say your vids are brilliant. Would love to see some vids on individual classes and some build ideas for pve and pvp and also something regarding leveling efficiently 1-25. Again amazing vids mate can’t wait to see more
Thank you for the detailed guide. The Key Abilities/Runes overview for lvl 25 is especially helpful! Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Paladin, Priest and Warlock seem to be the strongest classes. Nevertheless I will probably roll Druid since its the first time the class is actually good in PvP without engineering and kiting 24/7.
Great presentation dude. I would like to see SoD content creators do polls on what classes their audiences will play to get a good sample feel of what it's gonna look like. Would help many of us undecided players pick what we will main.
Glad to see finally see video that talk about the limitation of classes at 25. People don't get that for example the 5 shadow bolt is going to do 80 damage because its rank 3 for example or the big one being that rogue losing their core stuns and disorients. Warrior losing intercept and their instant attacks is backbreaking. I was looking at Warlock and was also like they don't lose anything for going into tank mode...cept haunt... and warrior, shaman, pally, and hunter is one armor class weaker. I will however like to point out that while druid do not get travel form they do have feline swiftness+ innate ability to break roots and snare and nobody have a mount outside BG and hunter may be able to place traps in combat with range instead of resorting to feign death. I do think rogue backstabbing people to death is viable because Shadow strike allows you to surprise anyone from stealth and is rumored to be cheap, you do get Vanish for a second one, and BS gets both a 20 energy discount, you can fit 2 in after SftS, and all the good BS talent (+30% crit and 20% damage) and if you're a mad lad maybe even remorseless. Shot between the Eyes is a must for PvP as it replaces kidney shot. Warlock- Fel dom lack 2 level master summoner so its still 4.5 second but you forgot soulstone which they do have access to.
Really good video, only thing I think you might have slept on are cats with their 30% movement speed talent at 25 and mangle doing 300% normal damage seems quite large too. Either way it will be hard to get away or catch up to a druid.
I think they are much better, it's hard to say though. They're still susceptible to fear classes like lock and priest and have some bad matchups. Regardless you can stealth so they'll definitely feel good while ganking
When you say 'on the discord', which one? Noice vid ty. The 25 run and end game will be interesting, good to remember it's just about experimenting what might work as new classic content and that it is just the start!
Ele shaman with Shield Mastery, Lava Burst, and Way of Earth. Thats an additional 44% effective HP and 6% crit reduction to melee. Plus you can double shock anyone in melee range. They don't need to play keep away, they can stand where they are and will destroy most melee classes.
@@RyanGambles11 I wouldn't. While earth shield might give you more hp over a long fight, you miss out on lightning shield damage and earth shock on is own cd. Also earth shield can be dispelled + will cost you mana.
Finally someone that at least halfway knows what they are talking about! The fact you pulled out the lack of "cleanse" as a paladin weakness. Your Healing note for priest is wrong, you have the note from Druid.
Great video and love your content. A couple thoughts/points as I was listening: - slaughter from the shadows is big for rogues, who will want to take 5/5 opportunity talent and play an ambush/backstab heavy build. Rogues will also have access to thistle tea at 25, and imo will have the strongest/most reliable 100-0 burst combo of any class other than Lone Wolf Sniper+Training hunter. They can sprint in stealth, get behind target, ambush, backstab, then if target escapes vanish shadow strike and pop thistle tea for 2 backstabs and an evis. This will destroy all leather/clothies and maybe even some mail classes tbh. Great for killing the flag carrier but very cooldown reliant. Rogues will definitely be awful in longer group skirmishes but will be amazing assassins - Fingers of Frost is a passive proc effect so it is not affected by cold snap. Frost will still be strong for sure though. But there is another spec that may be very good, which is pyroblast with enlightenment and arcane surge. If you land a polymorph and can hard cast a full pyro followed by fire blast + arcane surge, you will probably 1 shot most classes or at least get them very low. You also would have living bomb with this build which is great for larger scale fights with lots of targets where you can dot everything up
@@FrostDK98 I was pretty jealous over Devouring Plague as someone who wants to play a Troll Shadow Priest, so this just removes any lingering gripes completely. I guess it also means min-maxers are going to play Human priests now on Alliance for the extra spirit.

Hey there! I just finished watching your video on the World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, and I have to say, your in-depth coverage really helped me get a solid grasp of what to expect in the upcoming season. Your breakdown of the new features, changes to existing systems, and the overall theme of exploration got me genuinely excited to dive back into Azeroth. I appreciate how you highlighted the significance of the Covenant advancements and the impact they'll have on gameplay. It's evident that Blizzard is putting a lot of effort into making player choices feel more impactful, and your insights provided a clearer understanding of how this will shape the gaming experience. The discussion on the new zones and their unique environments added an extra layer of anticipation for me. Your attention to detail, coupled with gameplay footage, painted a vivid picture of what awaits players in these uncharted territories. It's fantastic to see WoW continuing to evolve and introduce fresh content that keeps the game dynamic and engaging. I also found your analysis of the renewed focus on professions and the revamped Honor system to be insightful. It's great to see Blizzard addressing these aspects, catering to both casual and hardcore players. Your breakdown of the potential impact on the in-game economy and PvP dynamics was particularly enlightening. Overall, your video not only served as a comprehensive overview of the Season of Discovery but also sparked my enthusiasm to explore Azeroth once again. Your passion for World of Warcraft shines through, and it's evident you've done your homework. Keep up the fantastic work, and I'm looking forward to more content from you as we venture into this exciting new season
That ziqo duel was actually hilarious... But it did absolutely show that even though you've got 20x the stats as someone you can still get outplayed and end up looking like a scrub.

Really good content! :) Looking forward to lots more. You have my sub. So just a question. Me and a friend are looking to start anew in SOD and I just want to hear your opinion on which do you think are the best duo:s for PVP (mainly), we are also running dungeons ofc but main focus is for PVP. I guess you are gonna sayPriest and warrior, but what about some other options? TY for your work and have a great day!
For warlock: If all you cared about was raid style PVP, you would probably go Demonic Tatics, Incinerate, and Chaos bolt for runes. Spec deep destro and basically play a conflag setup. All the extra fire spell damage you get from incinerate is huge.... Spell rotation: Immolate, incinerate, chaos bolt. Late levels can even follow up with a conflag if target is somehow still alive. I personally am looking forward to being a tank lock. I am not going to be real interested in PVP till 40 is cap, because destro PVP lock is gonna be more bursty than a mage it feels like.
Based on my Number Crunching and Hidden Machinations it seems to me that Paladin vs Warlock is going to be a Stale Mate if both can Eat and Drink / Have Access to all tools in game. If no Eating and Drinking such as Duels that go on to long... Paladin wins. If you are ??? Its the damn Paladin SLOW that changes everything combined with them having pretty good 30y Ranged Chip Damage... when Lock FEAR... Life Drain... Charge are all 20y range or need to be out of combat. Being SLOWED is going to be Lock Kryptonite. Cleanse at 42 is GG's. I still don't like it but at least its still CLASSIC. At the HIGHEST LEVELS of 1v1 PvP it was always Rock Paper Scissors between Lock, Mage, Pally. Pally > Lock > Mage > Pally Locks still have their Traditional Issue of "Can't Kill anything running away in a straight line" Slows, Nades, CC of any kind just makes it worse. Me and Drakova would JOKE that Priest and Lock just have a 20y Zone around them of "Stay here and die" But anytime something just RUNS away... they be like "no wait... come back!" NEVER just press W at either of these classes unless you have a Plan (and it better involve Mithril Insignia)
i allways roll alliance but when i saw the class poll it's 29% shaman on horde side i'm not gonna play against 2 shotting class with 10% dmg reduction and 30% hp buff + healing
Think you sleep abit on balance druid. With zero mana cost abilities and prob insta heal proc up alot they will be harder to kill then mage and lower target intrest means in big fights they can just stay back and nuke, they get range increase while frost mage dose not.
Everyone is sleeping hard on balance druid man. Starsurge seems to be one of the cheapest abilities in the game, and because it can proc both Wrath and Starsurge effects, Fury of Stormrage may make it free, on top of being able to proc the instant heal. Later on, Starsurge will have 15% chance to stun for 3 seconds too
Cool video. I disagree about mages. Frost simply won't be a thing in the 25 meta. It will be amazing a 40 onwards but at 25 no. It's simply not viable without shatter, block, and barrier. Fingers of frost is worthless without shatter. Ice lance hits like a wet noodle and is a waste of a GCD. At 25 the frostbolt rank is one behind the most recent fireball/arcane missiles. Fire will be the meta pvp spec at 25 with living bomb and burnout. Mages will be good in group pvp by just putting lb on everything at 41 yard range. You get access to some of the best fire talents at the start of the tree too - impact stun, ignite, flame throwing. As for rogues, I think dagger rogues are going to be insane in this bracket due to the 40 energy backstabs.
Yeah I think I may be over hyping frost mage but they do seem like they have good support. I think 40 energy backstabs are great but without the ability to cc chain it's going to be difficult to keep the pressure up as people may just cc you and run
Warlock and rogue tanks the devs are looking at the wrong way they are dps classes turning into tanks, they need to nerf damage and not nerf threat. There is a reason all tanks are close to the bottom of the dps meters, and they take rogue and lock and make them tank without nerf to damage. YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE 2ND AND 4TH DPS CLASS AND JUST MAKE THEM TANKS WITH SKILLS THAT MAKE THEM UNCRITABLE and call them tanks. Both tank forms need their 200 % threat modifier brought back but a damage modifier of -50% make them do damage similar tona warrior paladin or druid if they tank
It seems like the range value isn't for the range of the ability, it's an internal value which is meaningless. It's still not a ground targeted ability, you still have to lay the trap at your feet so the range value doesn't get used for anything, and it's probably not going to show up in game.
Dont forget to consider rogues have ability to "teleport behind target" with that shadowstrike talent, so even if they cant stunlock anymore, they also have reduced kited ability, in classic rogues basically want to stun lock you to death and burn all their cds in order to maintain staying on you. I think warrior is going to be far better than you think it is. I think metamorphises sounds great, i hope to see some downsides, maybe people will banish them (assuming it makes you a demon which im pretty sure it does). Mages will definitely be siiiiiick Paladins will be sick. Hunters can trap in combat now, dont forget ^.^ I think the talent that makes druids wrath 0% mana will make them far better than you think they will. Just my 2 cents, didnt give this much thought :) just a few mins while watching your video. Great video either way.
@@kudohlol9379 Idk it seems like SoD is a super early version of Classic+ in every other details that is design and balance related. They even decided to time gate 60 heavily in part because it gives them more time flashing out class design etc.
I love it that there are people who value their own life so low that they sit down, think about a video game for days and distil their incel thoughts into a 30 minutes video so I don't have to think about this stuff and can enjoy my life. Thanks for being such a sad excuse of a person, based video creator.
@@recreationalplutonium I cant even imagine how you really feel and think about yourself if you talk to others this way, your character is in the gutters.
How can we make Meta videos, and the game is changing every week with some updates? We only know what they showed and what's data mined, but not everything
Dots do terrible damage in classic at 25, doubt tank lock will be that scary. I could see a free casting destro being good but they are extremely squishy with no coil and soul link
Since Druids don't even have dash and shamans can tank up now, shamans will likely be better flag carriers because they will be able to completely outrun everyone in ghostwolf.
I think Enhancement shamans (myself included) are crazy if they take lava lash over lava burst. Lava lash is shit… and there’s no reason to NOT want a high dmging auto-critting spell that’s on a different spell school than your heals 🤷🏼♂️
Do you think totem of infliction will be BiS for meta warlock that 50 armor x 500% from meta plus the reflect from it seems like it will be super strong. I'm just wondering what 1her would go well with it at 25 since most of the caster weapons at 25 are staves. Also are you sure it's just WSG? I have read that AB should be open too since it starts in the 20-29 bracket.
Evocaters blade is your only 1h caster option(world drop good luck with that outside of dungeon spamming), other than that you have the agi/stam dagger from WSG rep or just a green with stats you want.
Great presentation! I could dream about you making a "where-to-find" level 25 BiS series that briefly covers the source and difficulty of every BiS piece.

I am not going to be real interested in PVP till 40 is cap, because destro PVP lock is gonna be more bursty than a mage it feels like.
this guys a legend, i can smell how pink he is
lol I definitely didnt think about rogues missing half their kit. Still gunna be funny seeing them mad max into the front lines. WITNESS ME!
Yeah I hear youtube has been pushing new content creators with good « reviews » , glad that it served you.
Pally > Lock > Mage > Pally
Locks still have their Traditional Issue of "Can't Kill anything running away in a straight line" Slows, Nades, CC of any kind just makes it worse.
Me and Drakova would JOKE that Priest and Lock just have a 20y Zone around them of "Stay here and die" But anytime something just RUNS away... they be like "no wait... come back!"
NEVER just press W at either of these classes unless you have a Plan (and it better involve Mithril Insignia)
Putting shaman in the same tier as warrior in early classic era is uh, surprising to say the least =P
i allways roll alliance but when i saw the class poll it's 29% shaman on horde side i'm not gonna play against 2 shotting class with 10% dmg reduction and 30% hp buff + healing
You can run burnout and lb with imp blizzard and snap to get double icy veins. Or you dont even run burnout cuz most of ur aoe kit cant crit anyway.
What about sunfire which you can cast in cat and bear form? also shaman's don't get chain lightning before phase 2 when they can reach level 32.
I believe hunter traps have a 40 yard range now as well, might be able to fire them at range? (1.15 build 52124 patch notes)
yeah that was datamined but it's unclear if that will actually be available in 25 phase 1
Take the datamined stuff with a grain of salt. there is a ton of unused code (just like in every other data mine)
It seems like the range value isn't for the range of the ability, it's an internal value which is meaningless. It's still not a ground targeted ability, you still have to lay the trap at your feet so the range value doesn't get used for anything, and it's probably not going to show up in game.
What do tou think about gnome engi+15 skill allowing them to be 240 at lvl 25?
I think my lock is gonna be rockin a deepdive helmet
Dont forget to consider rogues have ability to "teleport behind target" with that shadowstrike talent, so even if they cant stunlock anymore, they also have reduced kited ability, in classic rogues basically want to stun lock you to death and burn all their cds in order to maintain staying on you.
I think warrior is going to be far better than you think it is.
I think metamorphises sounds great, i hope to see some downsides, maybe people will banish them (assuming it makes you a demon which im pretty sure it does).
Mages will definitely be siiiiiick
Paladins will be sick.
Hunters can trap in combat now, dont forget ^.^
I think the talent that makes druids wrath 0% mana will make them far better than you think they will.
Just my 2 cents, didnt give this much thought :) just a few mins while watching your video.
Great video either way.
We don't know for sure they can trap in combat at 25 yet, it's been Datamined but that could be in future phases
O_o why would they make this a feature added later.?????????????
@@kudohlol9379 Idk it seems like SoD is a super early version of Classic+ in every other details that is design and balance related. They even decided to time gate 60 heavily in part because it gives them more time flashing out class design etc.
I love it that there are people who value their own life so low that they sit down, think about a video game for days and distil their incel thoughts into a 30 minutes video so I don't have to think about this stuff and can enjoy my life. Thanks for being such a sad excuse of a person, based video creator.
You're welcome? Bit harsh you think
maybe but it's also true. clean your room and stop playing video games @@tekn0de
@@recreationalplutonium I cant even imagine how you really feel and think about yourself if you talk to others this way, your character is in the gutters.
ok, troon @@Itsfine-pw7ff
What a sad life you must live. Hope things get better for you, you have my condolences.
Great video! Are the character wallpapers for each class also from ima_dreamwalker? Where can I find them?
Thanks!
not all the wallpapers are his but all the settings ones are. Check him out here www.imadreamwalker.com/
What classes are you plannning to main for SoD currently?
Priest!
The man
Missing explosive shot on the hunter slide
It shares a rune slot with chimera shot so I don't think you'd take it over chimera but maybe
Is SoD going to be seperate servers like Hardcore?
How can we make Meta videos, and the game is changing every week with some updates? We only know what they showed and what's data mined, but not everything
No silencing or disengage for hunters in classic so they’ll be trash against any melee
Priest has the same text in healing section like drood btw...
Yup mb
mygod! ure so right, BFD entrance is going to be a shit show, RIP lvl 25 rogue 🙏
Dots do terrible damage in classic at 25, doubt tank lock will be that scary. I could see a free casting destro being good but they are extremely squishy with no coil and soul link
Like and sub! First SoD video that has value in it! Keep them coming for each class!
Since Druids don't even have dash and shamans can tank up now, shamans will likely be better flag carriers because they will be able to completely outrun everyone in ghostwolf.
Druids will still be unsnareable
You know cat is at lvl 20 and you can get 30% speed talent at 21 right?
In era, its so hard to find warlocks for raids because no one wants to farm shards and be the summon slave.
