I was gonna say it isn't that bad but saw this was very recent & Albany has seen a huge resurgence of violence in this area this summer. It was fairly calm for years as it looked like Troy took the beating but has skyrocketed these past few months back in Albs

I lived in Albany 6 years and DJ'ed for Massive Audio, a small record shop right off Lark St. We did weekly events at Fuze Box and Phoenix nightclub, and held big events at Beardslee Castle a few years. Also annual performances for Larkfest. We'd also travel to Ithica, Attica, and Syracuse regularly for shows. Winters were no fun, but damn i loved living there!

Next time you're in 518 come to Troy NY Charlie I'd love to see you bring exposure to it. There's a lot of rich history with it being the place that uncle Sam was created as well as being one of the biggest steel manufacturers in the nation. Unfortunately the city has fallen hard and the gentrification going on cleaned up downtown but a lot of grimey shit is moving to the north side of the city (Lansingburgh) as well as the outskirts. Never the less it will always be my home to me.
Knew a guy from high school who went to SUNY Albany and one night when he was walking home from a party he got robbed by two guys, after they took his stuff they shot him in the head and killed him.
I remember that story. I remember watching it on the news. Sad shit. Dude was just minding his business. They pistol whipped him and accidentally pulled the trigger.

Used to called Fort Orange by the british when they resided in this city during the revolutionary war they then changed the name to Albany to make it feel like the Albany they had back at home in the U.K and the name stuck ever since.
Man you should come down to Scarsdale in Westchester. For some reason it’s the 2nd richest place in America but it’s actually hella hood. You can get good hood footage there. Even though it’s mostly white, and lot of kids smoke Juul in the schools, and blast rap music in their cars. There are even many gangs in Scarsdale and the surrounding area. You should come to Scarsdale Westchester next for some good hood footage
