Indie Cross is the perfect collab to show just how much love indie games deserve. Cuphead, Bendy and the Ink Machine, and even Undertale may be getting old, but all of them are amazing games with passionate fandoms, and seeing this funkin' love letter to them is awesome!

That's one of the coolest mods I've ever seen in FNF community. It has all the stuff: Voice acting, Full-animated cutscenes, new original mechanics, banger songs and so much more. I had some hope when the demo came up, but now I'm really excited for this. And as always, Merg's comments make *everything* better :)

If anyone is wondering why the early stage of san's first song is hard it's because it's a reference to "Always wondered why people never use their strongest attack first."
That Bonedoggle bonus song was an absolute masterpiece. Everything about it was perfection, the Papyrus expressions, the Sans xylophone segment, the use of Papyrus' cool song(which is grotesquely underused as a motif), the name being a pun on one of Papyrus' made-up words(Boondoggle). The rest of the mod is well made, but that one bonus song is definitely my favorite part. The story being kinda nonsensical takes away somewhat from how well made the cutscenes are, but beyond that, this mod is incredible. I rate it 9.9/Sans
Boondoggle isn't actually a made-up word, it's just not one that's commonly used. It means a project that's a waste of both time and money. Leave it to Papyrus to know obscure, funny-sounding words.

I love how this mod either makes remixes of the original games, includes gimmicks of the original games and stuff like that. Also Merg, if you think the instakills are too much to handle, the devs said that they are going to make the instakills into burst damage bits to make it slightly easier Edit: Merg will you ever play Bendy or is that not gonna happen? Not saying you need to play it, but it would be very entertaining.
This mod was amazing! As a Cuphead fan, I loved how the mod included how the chaser (or the green pellets) did less damage than the peashooter. (the blue pellets)
Ngl, it's really impressive how Boyfriend can hold his breath while running and singing at the same time (And also show the middle finger to Bendy lol).
This is literally the best fnf mod. Not only does it have 3 of my favorite indie games, it’s very accurate to them and it’s very well animated. Props to Will (DAGames) for badass voice acting for Cuphead and stellar job on Freaky Machine!
Not the best, but definitely one of. And to be honest it's not very accurate to Undertale, at least because of Sans looking nothing like himself, and 3rd pacifist route song somehow existing.
I like how sans basically goes: "unless you're a pro or something you're not FCing my week bud" and just instantly starts with super fast charting. After all, why don't people use their strongest attack first? Then again basically the entire mod is kind of like this, awesome job from everyone involved

Just for anyone who can't with the mechanic keybinds and uses ASWD or Arrow keys, I have keybind recommendations for them! ASWD: z[left attack] x[right attack] c[dodge] because you can use three fingers on one hand to use ASW and have your other hand for D, two of your other fingers on the hand using D can be on x and c whilst your thumb from the hand on ASW can be on z. Arrow keys: ,[left attack] .[right attack] /[dodge], with this you might need to reach your hand or hands across slightly to press the keys but since dodge is one you will need to use often / is the closest key not on the keypad that works out, the rest is kind of self explainatory, you just might miss more by using this. Hope it helps for people who play in the future. Personally I would go for the ASWD technique. Also I would just like to say this mod is absolutely amazing and everyone a part of it deserves all the credit necessary. It really brought these shows and games to life, and I just like the fact that in the cuphead cutscenes there were mentions of stuff that happens in episodes of The Cuphead Show, that's a really cool detail in my opinion. And with Sans, if you attack you get the fight, that is so cool! And with Bendy full on just chasing boyfriend around the factory is absolutely amazing and I think Sammy's vocals are also stunning. Another thing is Freaky Machine. Freaky Machine brought a whole new view to me on my favourite song by DAgames and I love the little voicelines Bendy has, and the vocals actually sound like they would belong to a jolly-looking cartoon such as Bendy himself. That's all from me. Again. All the developers and people involved with making this mod. Are absolutely amazing! Edit: Another thing I love about this is how the characters' personalities are shown through the cutscenes and their sprites. Like for cuphead, his recklessness is really well shown in the cutscene before Knockout, they way he just forgets what mugman says and turns it into what he thinks is hilarious. And for Sans, being the regular lazy skeleton we all know and love that is willing to do harm if you're genocidal, amazing! And Bendy just being good old tall inky boy. As well for Sammy being a bad guide and satan worshipper. xD
This will be remembered as one of the best FNF mods ever made, just because of the cutscenes. The music and art is obviously great, but also the general mechanics and polish makes it incredible.
Can we just appreciate how high effort the team went into this amazing mod, it mostly does interesting things like play a cutscene in the middle of a song, not gonna lie this mod is probably the best fnf mod up to date.
I think is worth to notice that when GF is nowhere to be seen BF gets completely beaten up, so cute that she's always protecting him, and man he surely needs to be protected this mod is proof of that.
I would recomend you to do some things: 1° beat week 3, as It unlocks more things and if you feel tired you can exit in the pause menu and It Will save you progress in the week, so thats nice. (If you feel It too hard, you can put off the mecanics in the settings, don't worry It doesn't lock you of content) 2° Die in the song with papyrus and sans, It will give you one form to enter another song. 3° Write "gose" in the freeplay menu in the bonus songs menú, as It will also unlock a new song. 4° have fun, but yeah you should check the rest of things, even if you Will have to use mecanics off. They also will make the mecanics easier. Last preview before we release the hotfix!! -bone notes take 35% of your health instead of all -gaster blasters take 30% of your health -bone attacks take 50% of your health Also due to so many requests I also coded a karma system! We will have three difficulties for mechanics Hardcore (what is in the current build atm) Normal (balanced, and nerfed) Easy (no mechanics at all) The player can choose which difficulty to choose at any given moment in the game without locking any content behind any difficulty. Oh and also Now the ink notes will be more easy and less transparent after touching one, so you can actually avoid them after hitting one of them This is what the creators said. So you should try It again!
This mod... I wouldn't be kidding if I said it revolutionized FNF forever. These cutscenes, mechanics, songs, *everything* makes it look like a completely different thing. Also, I love how everyone kicks BF's ass at the end. Bendy specially was so gruesome and beautiful oh my gosh- I will be always rewatching that for my entire life lol (kinda sad merg missed it)
I had my expectations really high for this mod, and it didn't let me down in ANY aspect (music, cutscenes, mechanics, art, literally everything). i loved it, you can SMELL the effort and love put into it also 41:47 🤨 merg caught saying beep, cancelled
Looking at this it appears that Merg has never played Bendy... Normally I'd give information, but I want to see Merg play the game. Edit: also, if you die in Bonedoggle, sans will give you a password to enter, which unlocks a secret song.
I think words cannot describe how freaking good this mod is, every week brings joy. Songs, design, animations, and the finger jokes are hilarious. Easily an S tier mod with the g.o.a.t.s like Tricky and Witty. 🏅🧡
bonedoggle had the hardest mechanic of all. Trying to hit notes while lmao. Best part of the whole mod is when Sans falls asleep and Papyrus shouts the song directly at him to wake him up. Also the one with Sans is the pacifist song, and the one with just Papyrus is the genocide one.
you popped off *hard* on Genocide Sans. as someone who's pretty confident on fnf, i was well into double digit deaths when i beat it. Just want to make that abundantly clear before anything else. you're probably one of the players that actually do the best with additional mechanics, so when you said "No mechanics, my specialty", that's like the opposite of what i got from your runs. you actually absorbed the mechanics really quickly so you were able to keep with the songs really well. sadly Nightmare Run is the polar opposite, it's just a very hard, fast song with difficult punishing charting and death notes. it 100% requires a very different skillset from the third songs, which is probably why it's actually a fourth song instead. :p

I always SUCK with mechanics, any type, so I always (if i can) turn them off. Note and dodge mechanics are absolutely my worst area I can never time dodges correctly, and I just cannot avoid death/harmful notes, if they're mostly transparent or the normal charting is easy to follow and not hard, then i can manage But I'm pretty amazing without mechanics.

Hey Merg just wanted to let you know that the game actually lets you turn off the special mechanics! I'm pretty sure Nightmare Run is the longest song so if you just want to get through it to see the rest of the game it would probably be a good idea to just turn them off for now.
I don't know if it's a reference, but when you start Sans week, he asks "welcome to the underground, how was the fall?" I think it's a reference to Undertale Rap "to the bones" made by JTmusic
Merg seemed to enjoy this mod a lot, especially compared to some of the other great ones he’s played, showing the dedication of the devs and the fun-loving Merg!
I love how they figured out a way to bring all the indie games to 1 game. They may be getting old but they will always be in our memory. May these games have a good time in video game heave,so as cartoons say "That's all folks" :) (I also like how Bendy is drinking bacon soup ((which canoncally is the only food you have in BATIM)in the menu,and how sans is sleeping and litsening to music which canoncally shows his laziness,and Cuphead thinking about the Devil)
I'm so glad Merg played Indie Cross, so far it's one of the best fnf mods, it has voice acting, animated cutscenes, great music, a lot of songs and so much more. It's also only the release of the mod, so we'll more probably get more updates, my prediction is the new Hollow Knight week, really looking forward for it ;)

Really great job man! I love your variety content, even if I love Undertale content a lot, your just magical man. Your also one of the only people I’ve seen to clear whoopee with the mechanics, and that makes it all the more fun, great job! And great job on “Burning In Hell”! Also, “Nightmare Run” is super tough, but I don’t think it’s terribly long, you can always turn off mechanics for that song, since sometimes you just want to play the song.
Just want to add this since there’s still some songs you didn’t check out However you CAN turn off the mechanics in the options. So if you want try Nightmare Run without the mechanics and the bonus week that’ll be cool
I was waiting for this for so long, that's the most official unofficial mod that exists, and it's amazing how I can see my friend's name in the credits ❤. I'm glad that merg played it and I think he is as happy as I am.
OMG this mod looks so cool! The demo is not long ago but I already got the nostalgic feeling seeing the full release, this mod is probably my favourite one among all the other FNF mods. It feels so finished, also the animations and graphics are so well done. I was smiling through the entire video! The mechanics in the three weeks(especially the last two) are kinda complicated and difficult tho, I might try it out but I wonder if I can even get pass sans' second song... The 3rd song of Bendy's week looks so hard, you'd might as well connect another keyboard and use your foot to attack and dodge lol
This mod puts so much attention to detail, puts very interesting but not too complicated gameplay mechanics, and gives you different endings, something I totally didn't expect from a FNF mod. This is the pure definition of High Quality.
Merg, if you ever want to come back and beat Week 3 you can go to the options to disable mechanics, this'll not only get rid of the insta-kill notes but also the parts where the notes go black. I personally really want you to complete this mod, as the ending to it is hype as heck. (also pretty cool extra songs)

I expected you to instantly recognize Nosk's theme during the Last Reel cutscene, but I guess after almost 3 years memories of Hollow Knight have faded... or the scene was just a bit overwhelming.
To unlock the the third slot in the freeplay menu, you need to beat all the songs in storymode on hard, and also be on the newest version. (Thanks ShadowKrio for the clarification)

I beat nightmare run with mechanics off but everything else with it on. I unlocked nightmare mode after beating burning in hell (using newest version) so i dont think mechanics off changes it (i think)

it actually is almost a year and not 7 months! the first sketch of the mod was made on april 10, 2021, and the mod was released on april 7, 2022!!

ASWD: z[left attack] x[right attack] c[dodge] because you can use three fingers on one hand to use ASW and have your other hand for D, two of your other fingers on the hand using D can be on x and c whilst your thumb from the hand on ASW can be on z.
Arrow keys: ,[left attack] .[right attack] /[dodge], with this you might need to reach your hand or hands across slightly to press the keys but since dodge is one you will need to use often / is the closest key not on the keypad that works out, the rest is kind of self explainatory, you just might miss more by using this.
Hope it helps for people who play in the future.

Also I would just like to say this mod is absolutely amazing and everyone a part of it deserves all the credit necessary.
It really brought these shows and games to life, and I just like the fact that in the cuphead cutscenes there were mentions of stuff that happens in episodes of The Cuphead Show, that's a really cool detail in my opinion.
And with Sans, if you attack you get the fight, that is so cool!
And with Bendy full on just chasing boyfriend around the factory is absolutely amazing and I think Sammy's vocals are also stunning.
Another thing is Freaky Machine.
Freaky Machine brought a whole new view to me on my favourite song by DAgames and I love the little voicelines Bendy has, and the vocals actually sound like they would belong to a jolly-looking cartoon such as Bendy himself.

Edit: Another thing I love about this is how the characters' personalities are shown through the cutscenes and their sprites.
Like for cuphead, his recklessness is really well shown in the cutscene before Knockout, they way he just forgets what mugman says and turns it into what he thinks is hilarious.
And for Sans, being the regular lazy skeleton we all know and love that is willing to do harm if you're genocidal, amazing!
And Bendy just being good old tall inky boy. As well for Sammy being a bad guide and satan worshipper. xD
This will be remembered as one of the best FNF mods ever made, just because of the cutscenes. The music and art is obviously great, but also the general mechanics and polish makes it incredible.

You know, after Retrospecter i thought nothing could amaze me anymore when it came to mods, but holy cow this one here is a diamond in a gold mine.
I think is worth to notice that when GF is nowhere to be seen BF gets completely beaten up, so cute that she's always protecting him, and man he surely needs to be protected this mod is proof of that.

I would recomend you to do some things:
1° beat week 3, as It unlocks more things and if you feel tired you can exit in the pause menu and It Will save you progress in the week, so thats nice.
(If you feel It too hard, you can put off the mecanics in the settings, don't worry It doesn't lock you of content)
2° Die in the song with papyrus and sans, It will give you one form to enter another song.
3° Write "gose" in the freeplay menu in the bonus songs menú, as It will also unlock a new song.
4° have fun, but yeah you should check the rest of things, even if you Will have to use mecanics off.
They also will make the mecanics easier.

-bone notes take 35% of your health instead of all
-gaster blasters take 30% of your health
-bone attacks take 50% of your health
Also due to so many requests I also coded a karma system!
We will have three difficulties for mechanics
Hardcore (what is in the current build atm)
Normal (balanced, and nerfed)
Easy (no mechanics at all)
The player can choose which difficulty to choose at any given moment in the game without locking any content behind any difficulty.
Oh and also Now the ink notes will be more easy and less transparent after touching one, so you can actually avoid them after hitting one of them

Also, I love how everyone kicks BF's ass at the end. Bendy specially was so gruesome and beautiful oh my gosh- I will be always rewatching that for my entire life lol (kinda sad merg missed it)

bonedoggle had the hardest mechanic of all. Trying to hit notes while lmao. Best part of the whole mod is when Sans falls asleep and Papyrus shouts the song directly at him to wake him up.
Also the one with Sans is the pacifist song, and the one with just Papyrus is the genocide one.

you popped off *hard* on Genocide Sans. as someone who's pretty confident on fnf, i was well into double digit deaths when i beat it. Just want to make that abundantly clear before anything else.
you're probably one of the players that actually do the best with additional mechanics, so when you said "No mechanics, my specialty", that's like the opposite of what i got from your runs. you actually absorbed the mechanics really quickly so you were able to keep with the songs really well. sadly Nightmare Run is the polar opposite, it's just a very hard, fast song with difficult punishing charting and death notes. it 100% requires a very different skillset from the third songs, which is probably why it's actually a fourth song instead. :p
yep. Most of these songs require adaptabilty, but nightmare run is simply designed to break you

I always SUCK with mechanics, any type, so I always (if i can) turn them off.
Note and dodge mechanics are absolutely my worst area
I can never time dodges correctly, and I just cannot avoid death/harmful notes, if they're mostly transparent or the normal charting is easy to follow and not hard, then i can manage
But I'm pretty amazing without mechanics.

Hey Merg just wanted to let you know that the game actually lets you turn off the special mechanics! I'm pretty sure Nightmare Run is the longest song so if you just want to get through it to see the rest of the game it would probably be a good idea to just turn them off for now.
I do worry that the 3 super hard song might not be unlockable without the mechanics activated...

I love how they figured out a way to bring all the indie games to 1 game. They may be getting old but they will always be in our memory. May these games have a good time in video game heave,so as cartoons say "That's all folks" :) (I also like how Bendy is drinking bacon soup ((which canoncally is the only food you have in BATIM)in the menu,and how sans is sleeping and litsening to music which canoncally shows his laziness,and Cuphead thinking about the Devil)

I'm so glad Merg played Indie Cross, so far it's one of the best fnf mods, it has voice acting, animated cutscenes, great music, a lot of songs and so much more. The demo is not long ago but I already got the nostalgic feeling seeing the full release, this mod is probably my favourite one among all the other FNF mods. It feels so finished, also the animations and graphics are so well done. I was smiling through the entire video!
The mechanics in the three weeks(especially the last two) are kinda complicated and difficult tho, I might try it out but I wonder if I can even get pass sans' second song...
The 3rd song of Bendy's week looks so hard, you'd might as well connect another keyboard and use your foot to attack and dodge lol

This mod puts so much attention to detail, puts very interesting but not too complicated gameplay mechanics, and gives you different endings, something I totally didn't expect from a FNF mod. This is the pure definition of High Quality.

Merg, if you ever want to come back and beat Week 3 you can go to the options to disable mechanics, this'll not only get rid of the insta-kill notes but also the parts where the notes go black.

To unlock the the third slot in the freeplay menu, you need to beat all the songs in storymode on hard, and also be on the newest version.

I beat nightmare run with mechanics off but everything else with it on. I unlocked nightmare mode after beating burning in hell (using newest version) so i dont think mechanics off changes it (i think)
