Again, thank you for testing these "tips" for your viewers. 🙏 😊 Someone inexperienced doesn't need to get tripped up trying something that won't work. ✌
Thanks for the kind words! And that’s absolutely the goal! I see a lot of gardening content that says things work but doesn’t actually show it. I’ve been surprised to see how many of them don’t seem to work in my trials!
I wonder if Aloe Vera might work better in another rooting medium that retains the gel such as Sphagnum moss. Once dissolved in water the alloe vera might be too weak to have an effect maybe?
thank you for posting your videos. I used to buy stuff after stuff after DIY projects to make clones and I did not have good success. after watching your videos I have saved lots of money and time using only water and a sunny window. I have more clones then I actually need. thanks a lot. I watch all your videos.
Yet another straightforward, interesting video. Could you try it with a proper commercial rooting hormone ? I've heard that one can blend sprouting beans or lentils because they produce a lot of rooting hormones, would be a nice test too. Thanks for the video
Great works! Thank you Jimmy. There are so many opinions about using the baker's yeast as a fertilizer for plants works well and I am just wondering how would that works on propagation and hydroponics, both alive and dead yeast. It might be messy. Do you think it is worth to try and would you consider to give a shot?
J'ai testé aloé Vera et marche très bien en terre et très rapide et en bonne santé et avec une vraie plantes d'aloès Vera bien haute et charnue plein de gel
he jimmy im not questioning your competence but are you sure that this is an aloevera there are alot of aloe plants but aloevera is a very speciffic variety. i dont think yours is an aloevera because the leefs grow in one row aloevera normaly grows (if you look from above the plant) in a circle. love your videos keep up the work
Thanks for calling it out Leon. I don’t really know the true genetics of the plant, but it was sold to me as aloe Vera. 😆 I will say that the new growth is starting to twist as it emerges. I guess only time will tell
So this was great video as always. Thanks. But I think that you did it wrong. Well, at least to my understanding, you put a tablespoon of aloe gel into a gallon of water, might be a liter, and let them sit in that for 24 hours and proceed as normal in regular water after. Also, I know this might be annoying to hear, but if it wasn't an organic aloe plant, chances are it didn't have the right nutrients in the right balances to produce the normal amounts of salycilic acid. The key is 100% organic aloe vera gel.
I think there are a number of different instruction methods people have tried with this that may be different than what I did. I’m not convinced it would change the results, but who knows. I think your second point about an insufficient aloe plant could definitely be valid though.
I used to use aloe from diffrent types and different plants in a cloner with humidity 100% and heat matt. did not have good success. now I use a used water bottle with water and with in a week. a have lots of clones that I end up giving away or tossing away.
Cut the stem at an ANGLE- I always see those other channels say. Plus cut just a little into the stem at the bottom onch that'll be in the ground. Dip that end into root hormone... then propagate in water or watered soil OR watered SAND for thicker rougher stuff like trees and bushes. That was from a RUclipsr who gives classes on gardening etc. And he had practically a whole nursery of trees behind him as he spoke 😅 Also a fella from India said to soak in aloe with water for 6 hrs then plant in soil and wet with water, adding that you can water the plant with the aloe water too. And IF he was shlwing the truth, in 1 mo the aloe soaked plants had new leaves while cinnamon dipped was dying as was the one with nothing
Lot of bad info out there, be careful! I see most people say to cut at an angle too but actual testing suggests something else: ruclips.net/video/ViF3iXoytek/видео.html
When you cut the aloe you need to drain the clipping. the yellow drippings are known as aloin it has latex In it and is toxic to the roots. . Once it has been drained by keeping the clipping upright for a few minutes you can use the gel and mix it with water. Once you have that gel mixture you can dip your clippings in it. If you dip it in the fluid is draining off of the aloe vera as you showed in the video you may still have the latex or aloin still in the mixture. it will most likely be very harmful to your plant.
I’ve rooted tomato and pepper plants by just taking a branch that broke off accidentally and sticking it in the ground. No preparation or treatment of any kind. I won’t be impressed by a “rooting aid” unless it can grow roots on something that doesn’t root by itself.

I think you should put in soil, water solution will dilute and wash away the aloe vera gel

Oh and Aloe vera works best if put it str8 in soil after stuck in Aloe vera I usually get 100% success
Love to hear it thanks
Usually? That’s not 100% success rate….

I thought same thing
Could be!

Definitely need to try a real product, will do
No. If u want to know, test the hormone yourself.
Great works! Thank you Jimmy.

Havent heard of that one yet! Thanks for sharing I will look into that.
No.
All I use is Aloe vera I love it
could you try growing your plants with rice water?
Great idea, thanks for sharing it!
No.
Yup, the results speak for themselves. Keep up the fun!
Thanks for the support as always, Matt! 🙏🙏

This looks like an aloe plant, but not aloe vera. I’m not sure if the gel inside differs greatly or not.
Did you see the state of your aloe ?the plant not seems tonlack a lot, she s tiny and not really goergous on the content. Weak test
Yeah.. and it mostlyl ooks like another type of aloe, not vera. I have vera and similar to tiger tooth, and they are completely differnt.
Very thorough. Love your experiments! I
🥰🥰🥰
great thanks for the video, you should do or can you do a video on the best way to make female cannabis pollen
Will look into it! Thanks for sharing the idea
Tap water from the city? Or tap water from a well/reclaimed water?

Ur right, it is annoying to hear. Keep posts to a 1 or 2 sentence plz.
@@thunderunknown That’s irresponsible, harmful to the environment, & wasteful. You shouldn’t toss & throw things away for convenience.

Couldn’t agree more, Gary
He Uses aloe to coat the stems then uses a solvent to dilute its effects. Nice. Your experiment failed cuz you misunderstood the science.
What solvent?
@@JimmyBHarveststhe water
try it soil
Hmm. It really is ridiculous to try anything with that tiny immature aloe plant.
