The New Britain Kilness patent ratchets were the original fine tooth ratchets. I still reach for my NB made ratchets from time to time. I bought a brand new leftover Matco 1/2' long handle flex head ratchet made by New Britain. My Matco dealer gave me a great deal on it. This was in the late 80s when Matco switched to Wright tools for their ratchets with the contour handle. I thought the New Britain made ratchets were far superior to the Wright ratchets.

@mlieser1230 I agree I feel new Britain ratchets compared to modern ratchets just no comparison even in their hay day they were very popular and could compete with any brand out there and still come out shining
