Me trying to move the fuel-less car off a roundabout on the starter motor! 🤦🏻♂️👉🏼Lotus Esprit Diary - 8: Seriously broken? ruclips.net/video/xlkt680hS-s/видео.html
@@SportsandGT interesting.....has the car got a manual or auto tensioner and did the car roll backwards during your attempt to move it? I ask as I have seen how easy it is to jump a tooth on the crank when the auto tensioner and original trapezoidal belt is fitted , if the engine is caused to rotate backwards through about 10 to 15 degrees.
@@michaelwhelan564 not sure on the manual/auto tensioner but certainly had the trapezoidal belt. It may well have rolled backwards too, I was in a bit of a panic, sitting in a low, stationary car on a built up, fast-moving roundabout. An HTD belt and pulleys will be fitted to the engine when rebuilt.
Very interesting! looking forward to the next update on the engine!🙂👍
Thank you. I should know the worst by the end of the week.
I’m enjoying your updates. ;-)
Thank you. Away for a week now so the next might be a while.
Nice one. I know your pain. My car had its engine completely seized as some idiot had left it with the spark plugs removed
Thank you. They are costs I could happily do without - just have to hope they go up in value soon! 😂
Good vid. Is it worth checking the bearings given you’ve gone this far? Bearings can’t be too much money. Will the liners need new nicacill?
Thank you - yes, it will be getting new shells and more besides! 😬
What's the latest on the Lotus mate?
I've been spending a lot of money on parts! New video tomorrow (Sat) at 2.30pm
What caused the belt to jump a tooth on the crank pulley

@@SportsandGT thanks for your response and good luck with it all.
