I was able to solve the problem permanently. You open the 8 back screws and then pull out the blue connector that goes from the jack board to the main board. When you pull this out, headphones and AUX in will no longer function, but the sound is back. Ethernet will still work.

Thanks mine was slightly different / older doesn't have the large screen like yours but same sort of fix , two pairs of connections one for headphones the other for Aux input , unplugging headphone connection fixed sound issues 👍.

I did as you suggested & it fixed my speakers that had stopped working! Fingers crossed this fix is permanent...
      Thanks for the tip!!

I have removed the blue plug from the main board and hey presto, we have the speakers back. Thanks.

Just wanted to come here and say thank you!! My evoke cf-6 lost its sound a while ago, I thought it was dead but I tried your suggestion of removing the blue connector and it worked! Thanks!!

Got exactly the same problem. Contact cleaner cued the fault for a few days only, 😠 e-mailed Pure , they don't supply headphones socket or rear input board complete as a spare part 😠.
Another piece of modern expensive unrepairable crap.
I've since fixed it by unplugging the head phone socket from the main board.👍

I have an evoke C-D4, mine was playing up with no sound. it was 100% the headphone socket at fault. unplug the 4 pin molex style connector. its only purpose is for the headphone socket, it wont be missed as i don't use them. I about shat myself when i pulled it, the volume was max

Got mine working again, sprayed contact cleaner into the jack sockets on the rear.
    Good luck.

I have the same problem. For me this is a problem with the mute detection on the headphone jack. I'll open the unit next week to see if the headphone jack has 3 pin or 5 pin. If it has 5 pin there are 2 pins for mechanical inserting detection. No jack means short, jack inserted means open. So basically this could be solved by shorting the 2 pins permanently.
