Have the Cooper AT3 XLT. 43,000 miles. Very quiet. No rumble, no roar. Great in the rain, very good in the snow. Handkes dirt, gravel, dirt trails, fire roads very well. Just took a while to settle down when new.
Also had the Michelin AT2. These are 25 year old design. Quiet, good in the rain. Decent in snow. Not as good as the Cooper XLT. Barely can be called all terrain. Very mild trend pattern and teeny voids. Very few sipes. Zero shoulder/sidewall tread. Small voids pick up rocks like a magnet. Picks up nails like crazy. My set took about 4-5 punctures and patches before I said the hell with it and got the Coopers. Didn't have any punctures on the Coopers yet.

I have Falkens in 255/80r17. They're 33.1" tall and only weigh 52 lbs in load E. I get more clearance with less rolling resistance or loss of power or mpg. Performance on/off road has been fantastic. Will be buying again. 2018 Frontier.

What mpg you get on hwy trip ? Just got a 15 cc pto4x, & hwy trip home was horrible mpg. Max 16.9 mpg at 70mph 3 hr trip. I am getting plugs, pcv valve, k&n filter & fuel systen cleaner additives to hopefullt bring it to where its suppose to be. .. at tires that are more road fuel worthy is key, as i dont plan on serious off roading

@@truthbombnews2524 My tires had a minimal impact on my mpg. I added armor & some heavy duty rock sliders which has had the greater impact. I don't drive a lot of miles though so it's no big deal.

When I bought my 2011 Toyota Tacoma in 2014, it had a brand new set of the Cooper Discovery AT2. I rotated them about every 7,500 miles, but around 30k the road noise was absolutely awful. I am in the Army and got orders to Germany, so I needed a good tire for there. I had the Michelin LTX AT2 put on. They have been on my truck for 6 years and almost 100k miles. They are the best tire I have ever had on any vehicle. Sadly Michelin discontinued that size of tire. I would have to go to a narrower tire or change to a bigger rim.

Look at ironman AT or MT... They have good prices they make them in all different kinds of sizes & they're actually a great quality 🛞 for the 💰... SL or 10 ply in the AT

BFG Trail Terrain have been excellent to me so far. Had Maxxis razr before that and they were great, but did produce much more noise than BFG.

If you live in the SW stay away from Michelin ATs... they all crack at the point where the casing meets the cap. I went to Hercules terra trac x ventures. No problems, US made, 60k ,2 yr guarantee.
