Saw this as a teenager ..my introduction to opera brillant. Since then have never seen anyone play Alfredo as good as Shicoff amazing performer, and tenor!
For me....this is Verdi's master piece and my very number 1 favorite opera, i never tire of it, it's so very true to life, even when i hear the prelude to act 1 or act 3 on the UK Classic F.M. radio, every thing comes to halt no matter what i am doing. Thanks for posting.
first time to see him wearing glasses on stage, it totally looks like Lennon. Yet his timbre voice is much refined fine fine golden bell, charming is under statement,
