      Ok so i just have to pit this out there. Umm i know this video is kinda old, but i just have to mention this. For the Emperor squirpion you NEED to pit cover some type of live plant. For an example moss. It holds alot of moisture, that they need, and they like it humid. And if you get a ceramic,or glass planting pot and break it in half as best as you can that is a very good looking hide. And to help keep it moist mist the sides of the tank. Nice vid btw keep it up. #2005 team where you at???

    Don’t use a sponge, use an actual water dish. I have multiple scorpions and they drink straight from water and they do fine with that. I heard they have a hard time drinking from a sponge.

    Yes Emperors are quite hard to find now because of exporting laws but they've recently started coming back around again.
    Both need alot of humidity and alot of substrate to burrow into.
    The forest scorpion is from the Heterometrus genus but not sure of species ... possibly Laticus or longimanus.

    I suggest adding a lot more substrate, they need to burrow else they will be more stressed and won’t live as long, careful that the rock isn’t too heavy so it doesn’t crush the scorpion. They are very beautiful simple enclosures though

    Hi there. Just like to point a few things out. First no sponge is needed. If you wanted to you could put pebbles in the water dish so they cannot dround if you are worried about that. Number 2 for the Emperor squirpon you should add some type of plant moss would be very good,next thing is they like it humid,and damp. So how you can fix that is get a top to the tank with a light, and mist the sides of the tank with a spray bottle. The moss should help contain some moisture. Next thing that i find helpful is breaking a ceramic planting pot in half as best as i can. it is good to use, and you can make it as big as needed. Next thing do not over do the tank by macking or getting a too big of a tank. It will overwhelm them. That is pretty much all. Mist the tank every 12 hrs. Keep up then helpfully and awesome videos. 12:58AM Tue, Jul 21, 2020. #2005 group

Try and lock the focus once it is set on the scorpions and then when you bring the two together the focus should remain cast on both for the shot. Nice vid, btw. Gorgeous scorpions

    I do vet tech my kid was raised around all sorts of animals my mom is an exterminator with a heart she save critters to take home to feed them cause they don’t deserve to die like jumping spiders and praying mantis my kid is obsessed with scorpions he is hyper focused obsessed and for last 4 years he been begging me for one everyday any family member he with he asks to. I’m starting to cave after doing research of my own like an empire scorpion since they the most docile he cared for a range of animals and he the one that answered most my questions I mean he did watch all these videos I’m finding on my RUclips history but I know prior to surpringbhim ima had to do cage set up and more any lockable ecnlosures u can suggest? It’s hard for me to get answers the community is very strict.. I work along side exotic animal vets that worked with scorpions and other creatures so vet care is not a problem if they need one and my kid took down notes for years idk why he obsessed so much with them but I wanna make sure I got a lockable kid just incase so it don’t get out or accessed by other people or kids if they visit without our supervision. Any tips on the lockable like with a code or key enclosures?

      @@MYANIMALHOUSE do you recommend any breeders? I been researching for months and found a few but they seem very big not like a trusted breeder.. I’m thinking of getting a male as I read they are more docile than the female empower scorpions. Also quick question.. I read that it’s best to get juveniles or young’s so they are trained to be more hands on… how could one attain that? The ones I see online are not guaranteed but also sketchy. I don’t know if others around my area I tried to join Facebook groups but because I don’t already own one I’m shunned away which sadly is kinda toxic I won’t turn away an animal or give up on them.

    • @aviczie1506
      @aviczie1506 2 года назад

      No. Heat lamps tend to dry out all of the moisture/humidity in the air. It’s best to have a heat pad on the side of the tank to keep one side warm but the other side more cooler and humid, it’s also good to spray the humid side every now and then when you notice it’s starting to dry out

      In terms of care all asian forest scorpions and even emperor scorpions require 99% of the same care. they’re all terrestrial species which live primarily in tropical areas with high humidity. If you’re looking for specific info on your species in terms of size, how long they live etc, I would take a pic and post it to a scorpion or arachnid forum asking for expert advice, people on there are very knowledgeable about species and can at minimum help lead you to knowing the actual species... I also haven’t heard of the asian forest “blue” so I’m sure it’s one of the more common species that someone gave a fancier name to! Hope that helps 😊

    I saw an Ambassador Scorpion at Petco I can't find them online though. Has anybody heard of them it was 59.99 and looked like a larger version of the Emperor scorpion.

      @@MYANIMALHOUSE good question. I can't recall it been years since I have them. But it did bring back a remember. I did see it on top of the water bowl when I found it dead. But it wasn't deep I remember that because I saw a video to not use deep bowl. Yet it was dead on top of the water bowl. Couldn't believe it would dead on that small water bowl. I did have a hermit crab heat mat. I spray the cage once a week.
