When I got the pop up, I only cleared the history around 7 hours later,and I saw my phone battery starting to drain faster and laggy,I don’t know if it is because I use iOS 18,and recently I’ve seen screenshots that I didn’t take and my frequently used emojis are changed

I’m noticing that when I go back to the site I was trying to use, the pop up appears again. If I’m playing media (like an audio/video file), it sometimes stops the media. Occasionally it blocks the rest of the screen too, so you can close the tab, but you just end right back up with the same pesky pop-up. How do you prevent them from popping up altogether?

I was looking at an article about a game I was trying to play and it brought me to one of these pages! I’m scared I couldn’t click the back button so I just clicked x.
thank you I was so scared. I clicked on a link on a yt vid that said “oh u wanna watch sonic the hedgehog 2? Click this link! ____________” and I clicked then it said “YOUR IPAD HAS 12 VIRUSES!” and I was VERY scared, shaking then it said “if you don’t remove it then your apps, videos and photos are gonna be corrupt!” And me, never had this happened to me, I just clicked the “OK” button, deleted my history and powered off my iPad.
I held on a link to see what it was without going on it and a warning popped up above the link I clicked ok and left am i good.

So I never actually saw this message pop up, but when I looked at my browsing history, that’s when I saw a bunch of them! Now, I wasn’t going to do anything, but I clicked on one to see what it was & a warning message popped up..don’t know if it was from Apple, but I never clicked on anything else because I don’t trust it. It said something like “press here” or “install” but I never did any of that because I knew it could be a virus. But now I’m worried because I actually clicked on the message to see what it was!
