An Awesome Fender Traditional II 60s Jaguar FSR model in as good as new condition, this FSR (Factory Special Run) example was made in extremely small quantities for a single dealer in Japan, Kinko Music.
With an Inca Silver gloss finish, matching peghead, bound rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlay, and parchment pickguard, this particular iteration of the Traditional II Jaguar platform channels a ’65-spec feature set. Numerous upscale options set it apart from other Traditional Series offerings including a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles, an alder body, medium jumbo fretwire, and USA-made Pure Vintage ’65 single coils. The current Traditional II series Fender Japan models are designed exclusively for the domestic Japanese market and select international territories, rarely seen outside their country of origin.
The Pure Vintage ’65 pickups are the same ones used on Fender’s American Vintage II (and previous American Original) line, with gray fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and alnico magnets. The pickups have a sparkling cut in the top end, with the slightly aggressive chime and snarl that sets this model apart. The neck pickup has a balanced, sweet sound with great clarity for strumming and full lead tones.
