Hi Steve and Alicjia I have to admire the way that your always so respectful of other people when filming these types of videos.Other shall we say less thoughtful youtubers seem to think that they have a god given right to just plough through other people simply because they have a camera in there hand.Ive always said that please and thank you are short words but they can achieve an awful lot.You both epitomise that fact.Keep up the great work as we all love the vudeos
Very enjoyable, Steve! You've done it again. We must have the same tastes because everything you film and narrate is of much interest to me. Thanks for being on the tube.
I have a cousin still living in Ferryden and an uncle used to live on Rossie Island. My dad served his apprentiship as a shipwright on Rossie Island in the 1920's - when we were children (1950-60's) it was a very different place to what it is now. Loved your video an Ferryden and Scurdie Ness, keep em coming.
It requires a very special kind of person to work and live on a ship. Not for the faint hearted. Even in today's technology. I cannot imagine how it must have been in the previous centuries. 😮 Respect! 😊
We've been softened and weakened by comfort and technology, when this ship was built if you needed to have a tooth removed you'd walk into a pub and ask someone to punch you in the face and you'd walk out with a smile. This is the Brittany Ferries' Santoña of the day.
It’s not easy to comprehend that everything the crew needed for several months at sea was in that ship. I was impressed by the library. Quite a lot of books there. An interesting film.
That was truly lovely for you to be editing this so quickly to promote for just the one more day it will be docked there. And I think you did a lovely job of giving an impression of the tour round the ship
I've got a crazy challenge for you! Looking online for houses in Devon for my son and his family. I noticed a village called Wick, near Honiton............ how about Wick to Wick??
@@capodicasa4038 I really appreciate this, love a challenge and always looking for something new. I'm almost tempted to delete this comment so no-one else beats me to it :D Good luck with the house search!
Good one Steve, Have forwarded the link to a few ''nautical '' friends. You always have such clear well produced videos and I always enjoy your accents, Cheers
Thank you for the tour! I know this ship! Saw her in my hometown She came up the Mystic River in Noank CT, and she moored in Mystic for a while. She's a beauty. I didn't get a tour when she was here. ❤❤❤
That was fabulous thank you! It always amazes me how we were able to create something that long ago that is still in service today. What a rich history she has, incredible! Thank you for going on there, even if I was local I physically couldn’t manage to get on. It’s great to see things I’d never be able to access. (Also the under water parts of boats terrify me too, gulp)
Another great video, I love tall ships, so elegant. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary in Bergen Norway and our hotel was across the road from where the Statsraad Lehmkuhl was moored. We couldn’t go aboard but could get up close, I can’t remember what it was called in the show but it had a starring role in The Onedin Line TV series. As an aside while on my epic learning to drive tour around Scotland I drove onto Aberdeen docks looking for a friend of my instructor, we did find him, probably not allowed these days.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour Steve, thanks so much for sharing. Took me back to my school days in Brisbane Australia. We went on a tour of the Indonesian naval training tall ship named "Dewaruci". Not as old as Alvei and a bit tidier inside as you'd expect. You can check her out on line just Google her name. Cheers !
Thank you for this surprise video! I’m from the NE coast of the US, so never too far from the sea. I’ve been in love with the Tall Ships (of all sizes) ever since I was a kid.
Hello Steve, I enjoyed this little bonus video. I think you've done a great job in making a good video despite of the busy ship. I'm looking forward to the next video.
I live on the hunter valley of new south wales, and your having better weather in Scotland, it's pissing down and freezing here, great tour of the ship thanks.
What a great tour around that ship. I don’t think you’d find me on there for weeks on end though! Like you, I’d keep hitting my head! (And get sea sick!)
Nowhere near Aberdeen, so no tour for me! But many thanks to you and Alicja for bringing us along! I do love how passionate the crew was, showing off their home. Fantastic that you could make that Montrose connection. Especially liked that I got to view this so soon after posting…I’ve not had much luck with that lately! Cheers, and ATB!
Great ship tour! Reminds me of when I got completely lost & had to yell my way out of the engine room when I toured the HMS Belfast in London when there was hardly anyone else around lol. Cursing like a sailor I was, I'd fit right in lol!
Wonderful old ship but i don`t think i would like to be on it in a storm looking at the condition of the planking and some of the iron work. Aiicja always brightens your videos. You are so lucky to have her as your girlfriend.
In 1969, we were in San Diego, CA, and the Star of India sailed in from a long voyage. My grandfather (retired Navy) took us down to watch her sail in. There were sailors on the bowsprit as she sailed in, still a vivid memory for a 6 year old.
Great looking old ship, certainly not a lot of room on board to spare, it looks to be in pretty good condition for a ship over a hundred years old, so thanks Steve and Alicja for yet another very interesting video.
Interesting video like always. I had a look at their website and there is a lot of information as well as a 15 minute video from the tour to New Zealand.
Really enjoyed that video, Steve & Alicia. I visited the HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool and that was a great visit, just like this one looked. I also banged my head, several times, on every low ceiling and door frame. 😂 Andy.
oh, Steve - this was so worth watching... I loved the tour, and the imaginations, that pop up, about being out on this one, in a big storm... my belly gets already swooshy at the mere idea... its so interesting to notice my contradictory feelings... I absolutely love it and get so excited, and yet I'm so scared, would feel so claustrophobic on it, even doing the tour would be already a challenge... maybe we are all reincarnated sea rats, and feel our vague memories tearing at us, while our common sense tells us: NO WAY, JOSE!!! 😆⛵
The two wheeler sped past ya 🙂 the hat on her head... 👍 ...the big art on the building ....cool ........damn! why is this a coincidence last year, in November me and my better half visited a place and toured inside a submarine...that was fascinating! ........mind your head, Steve, you bumped it one ...ouch! 😜 ..ooooh the steps are pretty steep too ..... Thanks for it.....cheers 🍻
It is always a pleasure to see you and Alicja together.
Hi Steve and Alicjia

Yeh! A bonus Monday morning video - thanks for editing this one so quickly Steve! That was such a cool ship - an incredible history too.
Once again Alicja brightens up my day.
Aww bless You! Have a great week♥️
Not me watching and being "is that a kiwi accent I hear" haha. Love those old ships. Amazing life she's had
Very enjoyable, Steve! You've done it again. We must have the same tastes because everything you film and narrate is of much interest to me. Thanks for being on the tube.
Im in British Colombia so will miss a visit so thanks for the video..
Hi Steve . Thank you that was really interesting. I wouldn't have been at all surprised to have seen Alicja scurrying up the rigging.
Haha you're so right :D

Indeed. I toured the Victory. Incredible.
I agree, not much space, privacy and rough seas.
We've been softened and weakened by comfort and technology, when this ship was built if you needed to have a tooth removed you'd walk into a pub and ask someone to punch you in the face and you'd walk out with a smile. This is the Brittany Ferries' Santoña of the day.
Softened and weakened 😮.
Not for the faint hearted indeed. 😊
Just in case you are interested, it's heading towards Montrose today.
Great fun - very interesting tour. The ship is wonderful!
It’s not easy to comprehend that everything the crew needed for several months at sea was in that ship. I was impressed by the library. Quite a lot of books there. An interesting film.
Cheers for showing us an amazing ship and for the extra video.

Hi Steve keep up the great videos and thank you for taking us along with you.😀😀
That was quite the library! I'm astonished they were able to welcome the public on board - it looks a health and safety nightmare!
What a beautiful old ship, thanks Steve and Alicja
Always look forward to a new video. Big fan from the Caribbean.
Excellent video showing something that many people would not be aware of but missed the chance to see it. Very informative. Well done.
Wow...a cool ship Steve! Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Late to the party again 😂. Cracking video, really interesting old vessel. Showing her age in places, but still looks really strong. Thanks
Monday morning Marsh with my coffee Cheers guys 😀
An awesome bonus video. Thank you Steve and Alicja. That ship is certainly showing its age. If only the decks could talk.
Thank you for the tour! I know this ship! Saw her in my hometown She came up the Mystic River in Noank CT, and she moored in Mystic for a while. She's a beauty. I didn't get a tour when she was here.
❤❤❤
Great to see old ships still going, its all part of our heritage, and the old wooden bunk and benches always last, not like the plastics they have now
Thank you, this was wonderful!
Brilliant Steve thanks mate ❤❤❤
What a fantastic ship Great video Steve and Alicja
Another superb production from the duo. Steve, what you (both) do is wonderful. So much better than tv dross.
Yay! How fun!🎉❤
Lovely ship!
I love old sailing ships, i use to build model ships as a child and watched The Onedine Line on TV.
Thanks Steve, a wonderful video of a beautiful old ship, so full of character.
What an amazing old ship, I bet she has some stories to tell after 104 years at sea😮Awesome tour Steve, many thanks😊
As a retired sailor, I love a ship's tour. Thanks.
Hey Steve, we just had a sailing ship from 1896 here in Galway 🇮🇪 this week called "Belem" worth looking up
That was fabulous thank you!
That ship could tell some tales. Thanks for taking us along 😊

Loved this. As a former yatch/sailing boat sailor (on a 28 ft boat on Georgia’s largest lake(Lanier), I really appreciated this.
That was an amazing craft! I bet she’s seen so much…when you think of the changes from 1920 until today. Thank you for sharing this ship tour! 😁
went to see it the day after you. It was absolutely stunning to be on and took loads of photos
Very good video, thank you for sharing this, 😊
Awk love watching your yous guys love ni
My favourite was the heavy-duty MASSIVE anchor with "Fragile" stenciled on it.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour Steve, thanks so much for sharing. Took me back to my school days in Brisbane Australia. We went on a tour of the Indonesian naval training tall ship named "Dewaruci". Wonderful old ship but i don`t think i would like to be on it in a storm looking at the condition
of the planking and some of the iron work.
Aiicja always brightens your videos. You are so lucky to have her as your girlfriend.
Fascinating but you wouldn't get me sailing in that. 😊
Very, very cool. I hope you're head is OK.
Mate you’d think I’d learn, but a did the same again about 5 minutes later
What an interesting video 😊
This is new, A video where your not exhausted from hiking or dead on your feet from a very early start.
In 1969, we were in San Diego, CA, and the Star of India sailed in from a long voyage. My grandfather (retired Navy) took us down to watch her sail in. There were sailors on the bowsprit as she sailed in, still a vivid memory for a 6 year old.
Are nice video steve and thanks for taking me around with you on ALVEI 👍
Great video
Thank you so much for the bonus video sharing your trip, which I saw you doing on Instagram yesterday
Thanks you both. Fascinating tour.
Thank you Steve, very enjoyable tour especially for a Monday wet morning😊
Great looking old ship, certainly not a lot of room on board to spare, it looks to be in pretty good condition for a ship over a hundred years old, so thanks Steve and Alicja for yet another very interesting video.
Thanks for taking us along. Enjoyed that. Interesting that they found their tender in New Zealand.
Interesting video like always.
