I've been binge watching your videos. I can't tell you what a wonderful distraction they have been as I lost my husband 3 days before Christmas in 2019. To say it has been difficult is an understatement. It brought me joy watching you both baking together. You are both very blessed and I hope you never lose site of that. So glad you showed us the trick with putting powdered sugar on top of the gingerbread cookies then dusting it off, in order to fill the cracks and display the pattern better. I have two of those rolling pins and was just about to give them away, because I didn’t know how to enhance the pattern. Now I know! Thanks again! Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!
I also noticed the more we brushed off the more the pattern disappeared again. I would suggest maybe hand rubbing the powdered sugar into the cracks. You will find it definitely works better than even the brush. The right recipe is the trick for sure! As you see the pie crust didn't show the pattern very well. Trial and error.☺️

I see you are using “Great Value” pie fillings. They make a GREAT sugar free apple pie filling. I add a little more cinnamon to it and it’s ready for baking. It doesn’t have that funny aftertaste so many sugar free foods have. My husband LOVES it.

Great video!! Wish you had sampled one of those cookies so we could see if they were crispy or chewy. That determines which recipe l use. Love the pattern though. Side hustle--Christmas cookies baked by Angela!!! lol Happy Holidays you two.
They are chewey for sure. After 3 days noticed the powdered sugar absorbed into the cookie so they are best eaten right away as a side note. Good recipe for the embossed roller. We are going to try again with sugar cookies also.😉

A trick that prevent the dough from sticking to the work surface is parchment paper. Rolling the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper.

Great video!! Wish you had sampled one of those cookies so we could see if they were crispy or chewy. That determines which recipe l use. Love the pattern though. Side hustle--Christmas cookies baked by Angela!!! lol Happy Holidays you two.
They are chewey for sure. After 3 days noticed the powdered sugar absorbed into the cookie so they are best eaten right away as a side note. Good recipe for the embossed roller. We are going to try again with sugar cookies also.😉
