    There was a time when i passed on buying a kayak because i didn't think i'd be able to load it solo. Now, i have a cargo extension on my wagon and i load a 110lb freighter canoe solo, using basically the same method you use here: One end at a time. My cargo extension goes in the trailer hitch and makes a nice T-shaped bar behind the roof rack. I lift the bow up onto the T-bar, then go to the back and shoooove it, slide it over that bar up and onto the roof rack. Another method for car-topping is the Reese canoe loader; it's basically the same thing except the bar rotates so you don't have to shove and slide the canoe, you life and walk the stern around to the front.

      @rootwad I like those cargo extensions with the hitch, I have seen a couple of clever versions of that. I will look up the Reese loader. Thanks for comment, happy floating!
