One thing to keep in mind regarding Treantmonk's analyses (for all classes, not just monks) is that he assumes an adventuring day of around eight combats with one short rest, not four. He makes this assumption because his experiences tell him that longer adventuring days in which the DM *does not necessarily provide the opportunity* for short rests every couple of fights is always possible.
While I don't necessarily agree with his rather pessimistic analyses as regards DPR, we might want to keep in mind that it's not always practical to stop and rest whenever the party likes, that the players whose abilities reset on a long rest might not always be *WILLING* to stop for multiple short rests, and that it's sometimes impractical to assume you can retreat and rest up after only four encounters.
For this reason, I tend to view this kind of analysis as a sort of best case scenario, Treantmonk's as closer to worst case, and assume that what's actually going to happen at the table to be somewhere in the middle.

It's an interesting approach for Gun fu or Gun kata from Equilibrium playstyle. The kensey monk has open the way for a more versatile warrior who uses both CQC and range attacks. When the foe has any damage resistance, the monk can change the martial arts for the most effective weapon and also use Ki for extra damage.

I don't get why people were confused, isn't the chance of something failing the save more important to know than the chance to land a stunning strike on any particular round.

Honestly wish I looked into firearm rules way sooner. This is a very cool build!

You can apply original chance to miss% as % of a supremacy die used to calculate how many you’ve used. You can also count out 1’s. Its not necessarily practical, but it’ll be more accurate than assuming using it on the first 4 attacks.

i like this idea for a gunk. it's better than what I had planned initially, being a shadow monk artificer/artillerist multiclass. I think you changed my mind on the build.

So, my DM let me play a really cool shadow monk hex blade warlock multi class allowing me to use wisdom for my warlock abilities representing my patron granting me forbidden wisdom which made for a powerful, and fun build with amazing role playing. He also let me use my unarmed strike as monk weapons which were able to use wisdom for attack and damage along with gaining a +1 attack and damage.

Cool vid, makes me want to play a monk :) When I was watching the fist video, I thougt it would be cool to see, how the monk affects other party members. Like how much does the other builds DPR increase , when there is a monk present?

Just a thought. You could use your 4th level ASI on Fey Touched (or a 1 level Hexblade dip?) to get the Hex spell, then use this to give the target disadvantage on Con saves. Surely this would boost the chance of success on a stunning strike somewhat.
Also, the 1 level Hexblade dip would provide access to Shield, occasionally mitigating unarmored defence, which is weak at low levels. This would only help with damage in the "have to be alive to make attacks" department, but increased survivability is not a bad thing. Alternatively, a 1 level dip with the Undead Warlock would get access to temp hp, as a different approach to increased survivability.
And, if you take the Custom Lineage 1st level feat (Druid Magic initiate), this would allow you to weight your Wisdom over Dex at early levels by using the Shillelagh as a monk weapon (both club and quarterstaff qualify), which would increase your Stun save DC a bit too.
Math is not my strong suit and I am not an optimiser, so feel free to point out what I am not accounting for.

Hex affects ability checks not saves - unfortunately. Shield is awesome though
