It looked stiff, like it had been pressed quite hard. I had a blush that was quite stiff and not very pigmented. I broke it up and repressed it. There was so much excess product. I couldn't fit it all in without over pressing it. That was the problem. It had been pressed nearly as stiff as a powder pill. After I repressed it and it was much less stiff, it has so much pigment.
it's not that bad if you're willing to repress. Then you could go from one not so great product, to two much better products...for the price of one plus a little work lol
This is gonna sound like a dumb suggestion but you should do a makeup breakup of a translucent setting powder like cover girl or a high end brand, and show us what happens if you "repress" a loose powder also I think it'd be cool to do a super high end vs super drug store low end eyeshadow or blush or something along those lines where you show the different consistencies as you break them and the different outcome of repressing them.If one is harder to repress than the other, and if the cheaper quality preforms poorly repressed in comparison to the high end product
+BEAUTY NEWS Would you be opposed to making a video showing how to do that? I would like to see if you could do it with popular powders or would a binding agent be hard to buy or use?
I think itd be interesting if you guys destroyed the benefit hoola bronzer because that pisses me off that they would put so little product in a giant box
I had a lady at a makeup counter apply a foundation on my face to test the colour, my eyes wouldn’t stop watering after about an hour as there was lavender oil in it which irritated my eyes.
S. E. I agree in principle but it would be only one palette out of a kajillion that are made each year, plus the girls could potentially find something disgusting in the fake one (I personally would love to see a lab do a bacteria culture swab on these things) and then that would be for the greater good because anyone thinking of buying these fakes could be directed to this video
If I was a makeup brand I'd send you my stuff. Like if they know it's up to par why not get the free publicity. Obviously if I though you guys wouldn't like it then I wouldn't send anything, cause we know you two are brutally honest.
Can always rely on you girls to keep me awake at night 😆 just about to go to bed and I get a notification haha. So happy to see a super luxury brand being smashed to pieces 👌🏻
I literally put this blush on my face today!! I've watched many MUBUs but nearly had a heart attack when I saw this thumbnail! Great job! Love you guys.
It would be fun to do some makeup Frankenstein-ing. Like adding some shimmer to a matte blush or eyeshadow? Taking 2 eyeshadows & mixing? I love this series, really makes you think about what your really buying
Could you do a video on Too Faced Bronzers (Sweetie Pie, Snow Bunny, Pink Leopard, etc) to see what color they actually make, then compare them side by side?? TF has a ton of just multi colored things and I always wonder what I'm actually getting!
I love this channel so much its my favorite. the destroying and repressing is so satisfying like asmr & you ladies are so gorgeous, just had to tell you.
whenever you can't fit it add more alcohol until it's like colored water. I also makes it look so much better than using something to press on the makeup since it won't have texture. it will just take a longer to dry up
I was reading that talc if its in the product it has to be listed first in the ingredient list even if its not that much. at least here in the United States. another you tuber did a video on it
That's how it usually goes, but I did read that even if Talc is lower on the list as far as quantity, it still has to be at the top so that people can easily see if it's in there. It's not a law in all countries, but places like Europe always have Talc listed as the first ingredient in the product no matter how much is in it. Even if you have one single molecule of Talc in a product, it has to be listed first.
+Beth Gramkow I would suggest reading this www.fda.gov/cosmetics/labeling/regulations/ucm126444.htm#clga I haven't read up on European laws yet but for US manufactured products talc is still to be listed in terms of how much is contained within the product
@Kat Im actually reading the current EU regulations and have so far found nothing to suggest that talc needs to be listed first regardless of quantity. I've found this *The list of ingredients shall be established in descending order of weight of the ingredients at the time they are added to the cosmetic product. Ingredients in concentrations of less than 1 % may be listed in any order after those in concentrations of more than 1 %*, but no addendums in reference to exceptions made for the listing of Talc. I'm still reading.... (EU Cosmetics Regulations (1223/2009)...still a better story than Twilight....)
You know those hourglass palettes? Could you crush those as well as the mua dupes of then and compare. They would also look super cool when repressed as the shadows would merge together. Xxx
Can you please see how much product there is in the 16 brand foundation(16 brand is the brand and it looks a small jam jar if i wasnt clear enough)i dont know why but i re read it and it sounds rude but im not being rude xx
Oooh Hailey I love you nails in this! And oh my god I thought the mixed shade was actually a nice blush shade until you said it looked like a hamburger. Ew!
I went to depot some of my Chanel in the past and just stopped. Their pans ARE deep and the product is domed. So it didn't fit back in the pan, because it was "overflowing" to begin with. If you had popped the face plate off before you started digging in you'd have likely been able to see that. It's for these reasons you really can't depot Chanel without it cracking. A little frustrating given how bulky the packaging. But the flip side is, if you're traveling and simply have to bring this brand, the product is pretty well protected.
I think to start with it might have been almost cushion shaped in the palette. Coming up higher in the middle than on the sides. I’m not 100% sure how to explain what I mean but like the the elf highlights from Kmart.
I feel like these would do better as highlight shades or bronzer tones. My blush brush is way too big! If I used it, I'd surely pic up more than one colour at once.
I do consider myself lucky to not have had to deal with a broken product I am hoping my kids dont break their make up when I start teaching them but if it happens I am glad to know a way to fix it :) one more question Loose pigments I've seen people press them into shadow tins does that work? I'm mostly wondering because My daughter got a set of jcat pigments and she is only 14 and she is having a hard time using them.If it doesn't work I don't want to ruin them.
I have quite a few chanel makeup products, and they all have a scent. I'm assuming that chanel has their own signature fragrance that they put into their makeup.
I am CRYING. Watching you dump all those nasty dark mauve lumps back into the Chanel compact, a sad, soggy shadow of it's former glorious haute self was like watching someone take a sh&t on a Vermeer. My teeth hurt. Great video though. 😁
I haven't met anyone else that shares my allergies to fragrances. Nice to see we're on the same boat of just getting to see the pretty on someone else lol ❤
I don't think I would mind spending like $70 on one of these blushes (if I somehow had $70 to drop on a blush) because of how much product you get in one pan.
I understand that somebody gave them this blush palette but for all their other videos I really wonder how they can buy all the expensive makeup out there even with 55k subs
leo Guatani No makeup is expensive in Australia, especially higher end makeup. In fact the cost of living in Australia is expensive. our electricity prices are some of the highest on the planet right now. Whilst Australians apparently earn more money then other countries our exchange rate one of our dollars is worth 76 US cents and 55 British pence. To put it simply buying expensive makeup in Australia is NOT like buying lollies it’s fucking expensive like it is in any other goddamn country it’s a luxury that some people can afford or choose to afford.
I know this is an older video but something to consider. After repressing instead of waiting s few days to dry out why not try sticking in one of those dehydrators? You know for making dried fruit or beef jerky? I think that would speed up the process.
It would take about 12 years to hit pan on that blush😂😂😂 At least Chanel is doing something right.
Allie M True as fuck😂
It looked stiff, like it had been pressed quite hard. I had a blush that was quite stiff and not very pigmented. I broke it up and repressed it. There was so much excess product. I couldn't fit it all in without over pressing it. That was the problem. It had been pressed nearly as stiff as a powder pill. After I repressed it and it was much less stiff, it has so much pigment.
PamMilly I had the same problem with one of my drugstore blushes! Glad to know I'm not alone
Sucks when that happens.
it's not that bad if you're willing to repress. Then you could go from one not so great product, to two much better products...for the price of one plus a little work lol
Empty pans off amazon and magnetic palettes have saved the day many times.
This is gonna sound like a dumb suggestion but you should do a makeup breakup of a translucent setting powder like cover girl or a high end brand, and show us what happens if you "repress" a loose powder
also I think it'd be cool to do a super high end vs super drug store low end eyeshadow or blush or something along those lines where you show the different consistencies as you break them and the different outcome of repressing them.If one is harder to repress than the other, and if the cheaper quality preforms poorly repressed in comparison to the high end product
Thanks for the suggestion! You can't press a loose product like a setting powder without adding a binding agent to help it stick.
+BEAUTY NEWS Would you be opposed to making a video showing how to do that? I would like to see if you could do it with popular powders or would a binding agent be hard to buy or use?
But with a good binding agent is it possible? And eys I agree with CcakeAsh, I'd looove to see a video on how to do it if possible
We actually don't make makeup so we aren't very familiar with the products used or the process. That's essentially what indie makeup brands do 😊
I tried repressing a loose powder and it didn't work lmao it was just for fun and games tho
I think itd be interesting if you guys destroyed the benefit hoola bronzer because that pisses me off that they would put so little product in a giant box
I believe that they have recently!
sunkissed ribbon? more like sunkissed ribeye...
👌
Or sunkissed t-bone
Emily Harding I don't know why this made me laugh so hard
y'all are genius with this concept!! I just love watching y'all destroy these things. it's so satisfying. and I love seeing them pressed too
Thanks 😘
I think the new By Terry face palettes are just asking to be destroyed. Anyone?
That's a bit out of our price range sadly
I would totally donate to a gofundme or something to fund their destruction!
Thats a good idea ladies - go fund me
Charlea
Yeah why not ? :-)
Charlea omggg yesss break fake makeup and then at the end look how it reacts to acid etc.. yaaaassss CHEMESTRY
Why did you not swatch all of the separate colours before destroying?😩
I don't think it's that big of a deal, it's meant to all be used together anyway
Lel Nope yeah I know I just thought it would have been interesting to see all of the individual colours :)
Because swatching it will take away from the cool design and lots of people like to see perfect making getting destroyed
BEAUTY NEWS that's fair enough :) thanks for the videos
That's my favourite series on RUclips right now!
Thanks xoxox
when oh when will companies stop putting fragrance in their makeup products? So many people are allergic, sensitive and just don't like it!!!! GRRRRR
BK Lulu I had to throw some of my makeup bc of my allergies and i hate that
I had a lady at a makeup counter apply a foundation on my face to test the colour, my eyes wouldn’t stop watering after about an hour as there was lavender oil in it which irritated my eyes.
BK Lulu Yh but ppl complain like the royal peach palette people complained that it didn’t smell like peach (I’m not hating just my comment)
Or at least make it clear it's scented
All those colours mixed together is like the perfect coral blush.
Breakup fakeup? Buy fake makeup and break it and repress
uuuh, I like that idea👌
Missy Mullins the fake up make up break up!!
YESSS
We shouldn't be supporting and giving our money to fake makeup

Elizabeth Caudill actually companies prefer to send thier stuff to bigger youtubers so their products get more exposure.
Can always rely on you girls to keep me awake at night 😆 just about to go to bed and I get a notification haha. So happy to see a super luxury brand being smashed to pieces 👌🏻
You guys are my fave channel now. And my urban decay palette arrived so I'm trying to perfect Hayley's sunrise look :)
Thanks so much Georgina! We would love to see how you go with the look x
BEAUTY NEWS thank you so much for replying! Once I get it as good as Hayley's version (please god I do lol) then I'll insta it, fingers crossed :) x
This makes me want to go and break my make up it's so satisfying!
Natalie Herbert same...but please don't cuz I know you'll regret it😂
I literally put this blush on my face today!! I've watched many MUBUs but nearly had a heart attack when I saw this thumbnail! Great job! Love you guys.
This is my favourite series on this channel!♡
Thanks so much Bebhinn xx
This *chanel* and your videos are just so fucking satisfying. Love your work, gals!
It would be fun to do some makeup Frankenstein-ing. Like adding some shimmer to a matte blush or eyeshadow? Taking 2 eyeshadows & mixing? I love this series, really makes you think about what your really buying
We are actually thinking about doing that with the Lime Crime Hi-Lite palette to make it more impressive haha
Ofra X Nikki?
Stephanie Gisselle yass!
YEEAAH!!!
Oh my goodness YES!! I've been so excited about you girls doing a Chanel product!
Could you do a video on Too Faced Bronzers (Sweetie Pie, Snow Bunny, Pink Leopard, etc) to see what color they actually make, then compare them side by side?? TF has a ton of just multi colored things and I always wonder what I'm actually getting!
There's something so deeply satisfying about these videos.
YO CHANEL,
YO SHIT IS DEEP
;)))) I'm laughing my ass off
Thanks guys! This was amazing to watch😘
NO MAMA NOOOOOOO!!!
Sorry papa
fuck me! :P
I really like how you guys always try to destroy the makeup in the most satisfying way possible, bless
I love your makeup in this Kat!
Thanks Sinead x
This was so distressing (because I love Chanel) but so interesting at the same time, love your channel ❤️
You should break the bobbi brown shimmer bricks next
Idk y this is really satisfying
you gals should do a "guess the product" edition where you get a list of ingredients and you have to guess which product it came from..!
I like the colour once you have mixed it all up!
This is the only time watching you guys destroy something hurt my heart 😭 it was so beautiful
I love this series!❤
Oooh I love the final color!
I love this channel so much its my favorite. the destroying and repressing is so satisfying like asmr & you ladies are so gorgeous, just had to tell you.
The little sections of colour looked like flavoured kit kats !
this is my favorite channel on RUclips
Thanks Kayla x
You could have made it into 2 blushes so you could have one each! Loved the end colour😻😻😻😻😻
The first one I've watched so far and they're actually impressed ( I've only watched like 2 minutes of it so far )
whenever you can't fit it add more alcohol until it's like colored water. I also makes it look so much better than using something to press on the makeup since it won't have texture. it will just take a longer to dry up
wow it became such a pretty colour!
That really was a gorgeous blush palette! I wish I could purchase it now!
this is so much fun, love ♡
This episode blew my mind lol you should have pressed two with that amount and both kept some #moreworkthanitsworth
Yeah we didn't know there would be so much product until we started pulling it apart otherwise we might have split it 😊
This is so satisfying to watch but at the same time I get really sad because it is so expensive.😫😫😂😂😊😊❤❤
my makeup loving heart broke in this video
I was reading that talc if its in the product it has to be listed first in the ingredient list even if its not that much. at least here in the United States. another you tuber did a video on it
The first product is the highest percentage ingredient in the product, so it would still contain quite a lot

you see people on yt, destroying Iphones all the time. but when it's make up all the gales uproar.( o-o)
I genuinely appreciate the fact that you cover the scraping noise with music lol. That sound just makes my teeth hurt!
Can you do a Makeup Breakup on a TARTE palette??? Would love to see if their pans contain a lot of shadow. Thank you!
Oooh Hailey I love you nails in this! And oh my god I thought the mixed shade was actually a nice blush shade until you said it looked like a hamburger. Ew!
i mean originally this looked pretty stunning color / design wise BUTTT.. Mixed was gorgeousssss color wise toooo
I went to depot some of my Chanel in the past and just stopped. Their pans ARE deep and the product is domed. So it didn't fit back in the pan, because it was "overflowing" to begin with. Holy shit that pan is deep
I think to start with it might have been almost cushion shaped in the palette. Coming up higher in the middle than on the sides. I’m not 100% sure how to explain what I mean but like the the elf highlights from Kmart.
The colors when mixed almost look like a sunset. :-)
Pls try this to a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick
I feel like these would do better as highlight shades or bronzer tones. My blush brush is way too big! If I used it, I'd surely pic up more than one colour at once.
Looks like you guys should have split this one in half!! Crabby patty anyone?!?!
That's what I was thinking, it had so much that they could have easily shared it if they wanted to. Maybe one of them didn't want it, though.
random video idea, you guys could get two mosaic style pans and try to repress it as similar to the pattern it was in and see who gets it closer
haha that's a fun idea!
does repressing change the smell of a product? I've been lucky not to break a makeup product yet...
It smells like alcohol until it completely dries, which can take a few days depending on the product and the weather
BEAUTY NEWS I almost wanna go break a highlighter to see if I can do it now maybe a eyeshadow start off smaller
I wouldn't do it for no reason haha... just wait until something breaks
I do consider myself lucky to not have had to deal with a broken product I am hoping my kids dont break their make up when I start teaching them but if it happens I am glad to know a way to fix it :)
one more question Loose pigments I've seen people press them into shadow tins does that work? I'm mostly wondering because My daughter got a set of jcat pigments and she is only 14 and she is having a hard time using them.If it doesn't work I don't want to ruin them.
You will probably need a binding product to mix with it, otherwise the pressed pigment will just crumble
Thats a very good quality you guys!!! I'm gonna buy their new perfume L'eau.
It would've been cool to see you try to keep the colors separate and try to repress the same sections
do the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette!!
I never would have thought I'd hear the words mince meat uttered in the same sentence as Chanel...and yet:-)
could've put the pan guard back on then pressed it so it had the extra room to come above the dip in the guard
this is giving me the ASMR tingles lolol
Yay! We hoped it would x
Would love to see swamp queen pallet done
I have quite a few chanel makeup products, and they all have a scent. I'm assuming that chanel has their own signature fragrance that they put into their makeup.
Take apart the ABH lip palette!! That'd be so satisfying.
What is this Blush exactly called?♡
is that an FMA tattoo on her arm :o that looks like Nina
Hey so are they sisters, friends or dating/married?
I am CRYING. Watching you dump all those nasty dark mauve lumps back into the Chanel compact, a sad, soggy shadow of it's former glorious haute self was like watching someone take a sh&t on a Vermeer. My teeth hurt.
Great video though. 😁
My soul is being crushed!
love your channel !!
Thanks honey x
i almost mistook kats Nina tattoo for roy mustang until i paused the video and looked closer hahahaha RIP NINA
I've noticed some expensive makeup brands really have crappy makeup and is scenting. I won't spend my money on them.
I like this golden color so so much
Do you have a tattoo of Nina from full metal alchemist on your arm?
I do
BEAUTY NEWS n i c e
I haven't met anyone else that shares my allergies to fragrances. Nice to see we're on the same boat of just getting to see the pretty on someone else lol ❤
I like these videos !!
We like your comment !!
Could you consider listing the makeup your wearing in the description box?
I hate makeup but I love these makeup breakup videos
Will you ever bring out merch? If you did I would buy it ❤️👀
I don't think I would mind spending like $70 on one of these blushes (if I somehow had $70 to drop on a blush) because of how much product you get in one pan.
Ahhhh I'm all for breaking these suckers but I couldn't break this its so pretty!!!
I have that blush 😮 and I love it, R.I.P to that blush, but it was very entertaining to see you destroy it
Would love to see you destroy the Kylighters
People didnt really respond well to us destroying the Kyshadow palette so we might hold off on Kylie destroying for now
I understand that somebody gave them this blush palette but for all their other videos I really wonder how they can buy all the expensive makeup out there even with 55k subs
We work 😊
because they have day jobs
leo Guatani No makeup is expensive in Australia, especially higher end makeup. In fact the cost of living in Australia is expensive. our electricity prices are some of the highest on the planet right now. Whilst Australians apparently earn more money then other countries our exchange rate one of our dollars is worth 76 US cents and 55 British pence. Also our housing market is extremely inflated due to overseas buyers so most of us are struggling to buy our first homes because the shitboxes we should be able to afford are selling for a million. To put it simply buying expensive makeup in Australia is NOT like buying lollies it’s fucking expensive like it is in any other goddamn country it’s a luxury that some people can afford or choose to afford.
😂😂 hamburger! 🍔🍔
I think it'd make a nice eyeshadow too.
This has inspired me to buy this blush 😍
Hi can you do swatches before and after so we can see the difference in the colors
Thanks 😄
We usually do except for when swatching will ruin the design of the palette like in this video x
I know this is an older video but something to consider. After repressing instead of waiting s few days to dry out why not try sticking in one of those dehydrators? You know for making dried fruit or beef jerky? I think that would speed up the process.
That would be faster, but it would still take quite some time. We live quite far away from each other so we check back the next time we film x
To me the holy grail of blushes is Nars Orgasm. Please oh please do that.
