Pozdrowienia z Polski. Sława!

If someone is interested why they were burning the doll in first clips, here is explanation: in Poland this doll is called Marzanna (maybe it is called differently in other countries). But it symbolises winter. So poeple at spring burn it and then throw to river so the winter doesn't return and spring can come.
In Bulgaria we call her Morana (Морана) or Mora (Мора).
When I was a child my mother used to scare me with Kikimora (Кикимора) who would disturb me during my sleep if I was not an obedient child. 😂
In Czech republic we call it Morana.
@@WeissB94 Actually, you do burn stuff in the USA: the Burning Man festival ! Yes, it's not a holiday/celebration (as it is in our culture) but a festival. But, hey, it you want to burn a very big doll, you still can. Slavs burn Mora, you burn a Man. 👍
I have read about the groundhog day. I am curious to know if you still celebrate it or is it getting forgotten?
Even if you find it less fun than our custom it is important to keep celebrating it. Humans need celebrations and rituals, they build up and strengthen the social cohesion.
@@gingrin6289 Yes, and in Russia Kikimora lives behind the stove. I didn’t realize the connection with Mora’s name. I hope that in Bulgaria Mora or Mor means death?
That's right my brother..
The video is really exciting, the music is awesome, and of course there are many beauties.😍

Greetings from Poland!
Jesteśmy tak różni i jednocześnie tak podobni. Piękny film.
I'm a Hazara. Hazara is one of the ethnic group in Afghanistan.
Slavic women's clothes are very similar to my people's women's clothes. Also wedding customs are very similar to us.
Interesting. I like it.🙂👍🏼
2:24 I love that you included muslim slavs too. I rarely see them in videos that promote slavic culture as we get sidelined.
Because Islam is Arabic culture and Muslim slavs follow arab Culture , Saudi culture to be precise.
@@whocares3132 when islam began Saudis were not a thing, and there. Most countries that practice islam have distinctive cultures with some overlaping with arab culture, for example even in ottoman times polygamy was not a big thing in bosnia, mostly it was when men could not have a child so they married a second woman, it was marriage to three women was practically non existent. If you go deeper you will find more differences and variations of interpretations of Islam and cultural differences just as it is with Christian countries.
@@enozmah6081 Lmao we have a organization full of ex muslims debate with imams and you are saying I should go deeper hahahaha. Okay here is something deep " Maria Al Qibtiya and Shirine" do you know them? 🤣🤣
@CHACHA fyi, m not christian, but I agree too many minuse religion.
@@whocares3132 I dont know about other countries, but Muslims and Christians in Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia, and Kosovo all have the same Balkan culture, regardless of religion.
I see many pictures here from Slovakia and I always knew that our traditions are amazing but when i see other slavic habits from other countries I am amazed even much more 😄 I know these habits but it is so beautiful all together in one video. Where did u get those videos of lusetia slavs? I mean girl with lace on her face. I do not know how u call it but we call these Girls Lucia in Slovakia, they do not cover their faces just paint it white and wear white clothes.
Love your page. Slavic pride. Stay strong....
Beautiful video
Another job well done, Slava

So beautiful! 💙 🤍 ❤
02:25 That face makeup makes our sisters look like Sky Goddesses, it's stunningly lovely!
In fact, this custom is found among Slavic Muslims. In Bulgaria, the Pomaks call him a painted bride „
Amazing and beautiful
Wow such a beautiful costumes beautiful fabrics and colors. Are those that get burned something like scarecrow? why do they burn them? Greetings from Greece 🙏
Thank you 😊 Those burned figure on a stick is called Marzanna (in Poland, other Slavic countries called it similar like Morana in Czech, Mara in Ukrainian etc.) and yeah it's made similar to a scarecrow. Marzanna is a pagan Slavic goddess associated with seasonal rites based on the idea of death and rebirth of nature. She is associated with winter's death. The death of the goddess Marzanna at the end of winter becomes the rebirth of the goddess called Kostroma/Lada/Vesna representing the coming of spring. I don't know about other Slavic countries but in Poland this tradition is still cultivated especially in schools - every year on first day of spring (21st of March) children go to the river with teachers and drown Marzanna to "dismiss" winter and welcome spring.
Greetings 🇵🇱❤️🇬🇷
@@nicolarocko8977 Wow I follow the native religion of Greece, I can say that every native religion amazed me.. It's like Easter that actually the resurrection of Jesus represents the beginning of spring.. Newer religions copied all ancient ones. Respect!
@@zk9889 agree every ancient religion is fascinating and beautiful, I love how they are based on nature. Slavic, Scandinavian, Celtic, Greek believes and mythology - our continent is really diverse with great values and we shouldn't forget about our ancestors and their believes.
I think it will be interesting fact for you that Christian traditions in Poland are based on those Slavic pagan and it remained from the time of the baptism in Poland to convince Slavic pagans and make it easier to them to convert to Christianity. This is why we are mostly Christian country nowadays but we still practice some pagan traditions even during Christian holiday 🙂
I wish we in Polabia would have this tradition today... hope it will be revived

Not shure if those are muslims or orthodox as it is common to see orthodox women wear veils in churches or villages but those at 2:24 are muslim.
