I want a second one that references Lego Island. I feel Lego City Undercover should've had a few nods and references to the first Lego game based around the Town/City theme.
If Brick County gifted Lego City the Lady Liberty statue, and Dunby said "Bon Voyage" to Chase, could it be that Brick County is just supposed to be France?
Just a few corrections. Overall great video with a lot of great information! 6:32 in fact he isn’t the main antagonist of the chase begins, rex fury is. Also he is released for like 5 seconds before the other police officer grabs him lol. 7:14 isn’t that crane used in the level high steal 7:30 he actually doesn’t die as he appears again in the final cutscene
little sequel concept i came up with seeing as this game was literally my childhood: set 10 years after the first game, chase has fallen from his prior glory. seeing as he pretty much arrested every single big time criminal present in lego city already, he was given several awards, but promptly moved to a desk job now that he was aging and the city was virtually crime-free. chase was (naturally) unhappy with this situation, as he would prefer to have a field role. all his requests to the new police chief (no longer dunby, who has since retired) have been denied - the new police chief doesn’t seem to care about chase’s past glory. chase would eventually resign from the police department, instead deciding to become a free-lancer detective in an attempt to relive “the good old days.” the game would center around getting various detective jobs, all of which correlate into some larger plot. not really sure who the antagonist in this theoretical game would be. rex returning for a third time would be a bit ridiculous, and blackwell returning from space also isn’t that believable either.
That concept honestly sounds perfect. If I could have one disguise/job added to Lego City Undercover it would be detective. The potential there with the open world and the mysteries they could pull off would be insane... In my opinion, if they made a sequel they SHOULD bring back Blackwell somehow. I wouldn't want him to be the only villain of the game though.

Kinda funny you mentioined that, cause I actually just showcased that in my newest video! It's a pretty cool secret, and defintley can be easy to miss.
For the "Compuper" theory i have a fact to add : In french the word "Computer" is called "Ordinateur" In the french version of the game, Frank call this an "OrdiMateur" instead of Blackwell calling this an "OrdinaPeur"
The concept art was probably meant to also advertise the upcoming lego city set that has chase mccain and the same robber from the second concept art in it, but as for the first concept art, It was most likely a render to promote the game
Lego City Undercover also has a reference to GTA. Not as in the gameplay itself, which is obvious, but Chase arriving in Lego City on a ship is a reference to the beginning of GTA 4 where Niko Bellic arrives in the port of Hove Beach with the Platypus cargo ship. Even the Lego City Undercover logo being plastered over the city itself is a reference to Grand Theft Auto IV being plastered over the skyline of Algonquin. Also if you ask me, the game's original title Lego City Stories sounds a bit too close to Rockstar Games' Liberty City Stories especially since both games abreviated are called LCS
Interesting, I honestly didn't know these! I haven't played GTA before, so I wouldn't know otherwise. So I guess they REALLY took a lot of inspiration from them for a lot of things. And yeah, I like your theory about the correlation between Lego City Stories and Liberty City Stories.
That footage was from someone else, so even I don't know how to play the box art map honestly! I'd love to help though, and I hope someone makes a video on it because it would be such a cool area to explore.
9:23 Why? It really just looks to me like they're referencing some variable named DLCNAME15. I see no reason for the 15 to refer to a price, it'd be really weird to keep the price in a variable name
Hey TTT I'm not sure if you already knew this but in the end of the 3ds version of lcu we only know that chase mccain was sent to the other side other world but in the Nintendo switch or xbox 1 or ps4 or pc version in one of he loading screens we can see that deputy dunby says he sent him to 'Brick County' if you see this thank you I love your content on lego games ,your so underated
At Dan Nuttalls website online! I believe it's Dan Nuttals dot com if I remember right, or something close to that. If you scroll down to the LCU section there are a lot of interesting photos!
theres one thing that you forgot, in the 3ds version when you go in a car it plays a random song and one of those songs is in the game skate3 and its higher quality, but it might just be stock music
One thing I noticed you didn’t talk about but I’ve heard is how close this game resembles GTA in a kid friendly way but until you can’t fly planes or boats and the violence is very small but still a interesting comparison someone told me and I really wish I sequel to Undercover would happen because Lego City is one Lego biggest themes that has been going on since I think 2008
I’m so sad there isn’t a sequel, I remember playing this on the Wii U, I still play it till this day on my switch, it’s been 11 years since it released and my hope for a 2nd game has disappeared, unless you know something I don’t.
I'm sad there isn't one as well. There's just so much potential for a sequel! As far as I know, they aren't making it as of right now, but we can dream!
1. The crane that was mentioned is in fact used, in the level Construction Yard 2. There is a small island part of Paradise Sands with a Super Build Lighthouse that might be a mini Isle Delphino
I just finished the main plot of this game and I absolutely loved it start to finish. The colectathon is underway and it is very good as well. Never thought I would enjoy a lego game this much. It actually makes me want to get a few legos and I have never been a lego person.
@@TheTigeeTeam Yeah. And it isn't just a bunch of boring coins or something. There is a lot of variety and you get to construct things like park rides. I am really impressed. Cool game for sure.
Yeah I bet you're right! I didn't realize that until you pointed it out but the orders are swapped. It seems some of the later disguises especially got their orders swapped.
@@TheTigeeTeam I don’t know if it was intentional. Because I don’t think it’s a good idea to reference a dictator. Who worked with hitler. In a Lego game.
In the same scene that I show in the video, Vinnie mentions that the "last guy bought the farm" meaning Jethro used to work for him. It's a cool secret!
@@TheTigeeTeam well, "to buy the farm" means to die... I know that Vinnie later says "even after I told him it was a terrible investment", but I would say that was just a writer's joke... plus nothing suggets that it was Jethro and not somebody else

I never though of that! Honestly yeah, that's a good theory! It would make sense especially if Dunby said that.
yeah i was thinking that
nah i think that was just him saying goodbye. bon voyage is a pretty popular way to bid someone farwell
No, its probably supposed to be like this, because the statue of liberty was built by the french and brought to the usa
maybe that's why chase is scared of french parrots

The concept art was probably meant to also advertise the upcoming lego city set that has chase mccain and the same robber from the second concept art in it, but as for the first concept art, It was most likely a render to promote the game
Good to know! I thought I recognized that robber vehicle before, and I think it's because one of my friends owns that set.
great video! could you a full one about the box art map since you're the only one that seems to mention its existence?
Probably not a full video, but I might make a RUclips short on it!
Tigge would you mind telling me how to acess it in the game files? Cus id also like to explore that one.@@TheTigeeTeam
@@Citytendo1 Node is the one who made the video exploring it
I'm sure there's probably a way to access it, but idk cause that's not my footage.
Can you make a tutorial on how to play the boy art map? Would be really interesting
That footage was from someone else, so even I don't know how to play the box art map honestly! I'd love to help though, and I hope someone makes a video on it because it would be such a cool area to explore.
@@TheTigeeTeam Oh I see, but thanks for your honesty. I will look around too a bit
No problem!
2:26 You can find Derek the squirrel in the sewer under the lego city bank
Yeah I forgot about him there, but that's good news he's not dead!
7:31 No he doesn't. You need to get your knowledge straight man.
What references weren't removed 0:57
9:23
Why? It really just looks to me like they're referencing some variable named DLCNAME15. I see no reason for the 15 to refer to a price, it'd be really weird to keep the price in a variable name
That's a good point! I interpurted it as the price but I guess it could be something else.
My theory with the mario red brick not being on the switch version is either because they forgot to put it back, or they could not get the rights
I'm guessing they weren't able to get the rights.
The apollo island trees are mangroves, they grow like that its normal
Ahh yeah after looking that up it makes sense now 😅
Hey TTT I'm not sure if you already knew this but in the end of the 3ds version of lcu we only know that chase mccain was sent to the other side other world but in the Nintendo switch or xbox 1 or ps4 or pc version in one of he loading screens we can see that deputy dunby says he sent him to 'Brick County' if you see this thank you I love your content on lego games ,your so underated
Thanks, I appreciate the kind word! I actually did know that about Brick County. It's honestly a pretty cool piece of lore about the game!
Where did you find the Developer Map at 8:50? I've searched for a long while and not found it o.O
At Dan Nuttalls website online! I believe it's Dan Nuttals dot com if I remember right, or something close to that. If you scroll down to the LCU section there are a lot of interesting photos!
Around 4:44, the trees are meant to mimic mangroves with gnarled roots from the tropics.
That makes more sense! Didn't know they existed until making this video 😆
theres one thing that you forgot, in the 3ds version when you go in a car it plays a random song and one of those songs is in the game skate3 and its higher quality, but it might just be stock music
Huh I didn't know that!
Video idea: Ranking Lego city undercover youtubers
The reason frank says compuper is because he is a nut job
While blackwell is old
One thing I noticed you didn’t talk about but I’ve heard is how close this game resembles GTA in a kid friendly way but until you can’t fly planes or boats and the violence is very small but still a interesting comparison someone told me and I really wish I sequel to Undercover would happen because Lego City is one Lego biggest themes that has been going on since I think 2008
Yeah this game is a lot like a kid verison of GTA! I wish we could get a sequel too... the content would be amazing!
Maybe chase busted Bucky before the events of the Chase begins
That's a good theory!
Derek the Squirrel actually survived being eaten...
8:50 does nobody realise at the fort meadows part you can see the city which is in the same place as the unused city in the full game of LCU
Don't forget the Rex mower scene road
7:20 the stripes are pixels and are there most likely due to the wii u being kind of a low end console
That's an interesting theory! I wouldn't be suprised if that was the case. Nintendo STILL doesn't have incredibly powerful consoles.
7:28 He doesn't die there. He survived.
Farmer Chase McCain is actually seen on a billboard in Metropolis in Lego DC Super Villains
Yeah! I've actually showcased that in my past videos. It's a cool little secret!
You can see derek the squirrel in a cutscene when you enter the sewer to get into the bank
Oh hey an iceberg video that isn't 1 hour long, neat.
🎉
How did you get that bus their 4:56

can you read any text on the Developer map?
Not too much of it! Wish we had a better picture.
That shark spawns if you try to swim in the ocean put the fear of God in me. Legit I was frozen in fear.
🤣lol the shark is kinda scary not gonna lie
@@TheTigeeTeam Thank You!! I was playing the Switch port and I was like 14 maybe.
Lego City undercover community on top
2:43 when I play the game there was no nights cycle I didn’t know why
That's odd! Must've been a weird glitch.
@@TheTigeeTeam I could be wrong but maybe since it was a Wii U exclusive and the Wii U failed maybe they didn’t think another game was gonna work.
That's true! The Wii U did flop, so honestly that would make sense.
Fun fact: in Lego marvel superheroes (the next Lego game after undercover) you can see forest blackwell’s escape pod on the title screen.
Yoo that's crazy! That would've been a good one to include in the iceberg.
1. The crane that was mentioned is in fact used, in the level Construction Yard
That's awesome! I love the post game open world, the collectibles are just fun to get.
@@TheTigeeTeam Yeah. And it isn't just a bunch of boring coins or something. There is a lot of variety and you get to construct things like park rides. I am really impressed. Cool game for sure.
Finaly sombody has made a "Iceberg" video!
This game is 100% worthy of one!
0:45 there’s even a Spaceballs reference
@@reggyjohnson9083 huh! That’s interesting. I haven’t heard of that one anywhere online yet.
9:16 I dont see how this information helps, it was pretty obvius the game didnt take place in the 1920s or 1950s. Can you explain your thoughts?
I just think it's cool because it gives us a real world connection to when it happens.
I see what you mean. It looked old, so it's accurate to say the statue you looked old so my guess this took place early 2000s@@TheTigeeTeam
@@Deltasquadformingup It does sorta have that early 2000's vibe!
Just bought the game for Switch, can’t wait to fish a Cheep Cheep and build a Bob-Omb.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it! I love the Mario references in this game.
Did you make the mods
No, my mod maker helped me!
How come I can't mod
And I can't translate what citytendo is saying
Lego Citee Undacava
I could mod LCU to put my own tokens in the city
Another great video Tigee. Really interesting facts. Wouldn't expect anything less from you. 👍👍
Thanks 😉
3:27 The story was going to be completely different because of the order of the costumes.
Yeah I bet you're right! I didn't realize that until you pointed it out but the orders are swapped. It seems some of the later disguises especially got their orders swapped.
Minor nitpick at 6:28, but the name of the theater is the Gillespie theater, not the Gillespie theater as you pronounced it
Good catch! I don't think anyone has caught that one yet, so thanks.
Have you ever considered Lego level builders from Indy 2 & Harry Potter 1-4 ?
I have not! I've watched a couple videos on the level builders, and I wish LCU had them to.
9:03 is that a rhyme for Mussolini.
Just google it if you don’t know who that is.
That very well could be!
@@TheTigeeTeam Mussolini Took over Italy in 1919 so it could work for the time line. And it does look like mussolinis headquarters.
@@Theagentofchaos-r5q That's an interesting theory.
@@TheTigeeTeam I don’t know if it was intentional. Because I don’t think it’s a good idea to reference a dictator. Who worked with hitler. In a Lego game.
@@Theagentofchaos-r5q Yeah probably not 😅
5:45 What? Where does he mention that?
In the same scene that I show in the video, Vinnie mentions that the "last guy bought the farm" meaning Jethro used to work for him. It's a cool secret!
@@TheTigeeTeam well, "to buy the farm" means to die... I know that Vinnie later says "even after I told him it was a terrible investment", but I would say that was just a writer's joke... plus nothing suggets that it was Jethro and not somebody else
That's a fair point!
4:32 its a special tree found in mangrove swamps
One question I've been asking myself for a whopping 8 years now is what happened to Blackwell, does he appear anywhere else? If you haven't done it, it would be very good to make a video about it or give some help with this find out and again, good video. bye
As far as I know he doesn't appear in any other game! That's why they need a sequel with him returning as the villain.
