Thank you! You can find the name of the bass in the description. My chain is digital so it's a Apollo Twin Duo audio interface and then an Ampeg SVT-VR bass amp simulator for the amp.
Thanks for the answer! I tried the ampeg demo some time ago and if remember correctly it could really nail those fat Cliff Burton style tones. Those ampeg plugins from Brainworx/UA/Plugin alliance are really good.
Very nice. Thank you for covering Opeth. Any tips for getting fingers developed enough to play that 7 note burst at the outro? I'm having a hard time playing that clean without a pick.
No problem! This is different for everyone, but I prefer to start a 7 note burst with my index finger. That way, I will always end up playing the 7th note with my index finger which feels more natural to me. Just try to slowly play those notes until it clicks. Look it at like 3-3-1, or 3-4, etc. Whatever feels right to you, but pick a finger that starts the burst
Pienso que las lineas de bajo mas interesantes de opeth estan en los albumes orchid y morningrise, defarfalla fue un gran bajista que hubiera aportado muchisimo al sonido de la banda si no se hubiera ido
Cool cover! About the time signature in the beginning... It says 4/4 but as far as I can tell there are 5 eighth notes in each measure. Wouldn't that make it 5/8?
I mean, there's 4 quarter note rests in there as a little countdown to the song. Definitely not 5 though. Maybe you're watching it on your phone and it's cropped together or something?
I love how you disliked the comment at the beginning XD
Oh crap! I didn't even see that haha. I must've disliked it by accident while making the screenshot or something
tututupa - tututupapa -
tututupa - tu tututupapa
papapa papapa pa
pa - tutupa - tutupa - tutupa - tutupa- tutùpa tùtupa
That part from 8:46 sounds like something straight out of a Diablo soundtrack
I just watched them finish their show with this and it's the coolest thing ever getting to come home and play it!
The riff around 5:03 is killer
hey man it's great to see Opeth! One of my top 3 right here, and always well done covers man!
Thanks man, nice job
No problem!
Amazing bro
Thanks man!
One of my fav opera tunes! The part at 10.00 mins is absolutely mesmerizing
Plucking and muting with the same hand, now you're just showing off!
Great cover as always.
I just had to haha! Thanks as always :)
It is not an easy song and you managed it effortlessly and beautifully. Thank you very much mate!
Thanks a lot!
My favourite Opeth piece! I always thought the rhythm in the end is 32nd notes also for bass.
I'm a new bass player but being drummer for over 25 years, I play that 32nd unwittingly 😂
Amazing thanks man.
Dude didn't you quit youtube?
I did, but then the back-up channel actually got bigger than my old channel..
One of my favorite Opeth songs. Thanks!!
No problem!
Great song and great job covering one of the best compositions in music!
Thanks a lot! Great song indeed..

You should cover The Apostle in Triumph
Should have grabbed a drink in the last couple measures. Haha. Killer cover! Musical excellence.
Thank you very much!!
Man, the part with the double hammer on and pull off is killing me! But I'll get it down :) Thanks for the cover!
No problem!

Great work as usual! I missed the premiere, rip.

That's a massive tone! What gear did you use?
Also you played the song very well!

@@LeoBassCovers2 I miscounted... I think there's 7 eighth notes per measure in the opening riff, right? 7/8?
Yep :)
job
Plsss cover "Ohms" by Deftones
Is this a hard song for a beginner?
I would say so yeah, definitely not a beginner song. But it's a nice goal to work towards
Challenged myself. thumb only , downpicking only. Did it. Not fun. 1/10 don't recommend. But try it if you want a sore arm.
where are your fretmarks
Fretmarks? As in the markers on the side?
@@LeoBassCovers2 yeah
Well, on the side I guess? Unless you mean 3-5-7-9-12-15-17-19-21-24
what's this? a new background?
Just temporarily cause the lighting sucked.
