  • A little something different in this video. I take a look at and explore some local gold related historical sights and spots l at Warrandye, Victoria...which is just down the road from me. Plus a really quick dig at the end in a somewhat special creek.
    Thanks for watching. And a new prospecting video shouldn't be too far off ;)

    Really good video - thanks for sharing. I did a bit of exploring for gold at Warrandyte some 35 years ago with no success. I also remember going through the Pound Bend tunnel when the water was really high in a canoe - bad mistake ..lol. You did teach me some history I was not aware of ...thanks for that. :)

    • @DigginForGold
      @DigginForGold  6 лет назад

      Haha I bet it was indeed a mistake. When the water levels get high that tunnel turns into a beast. But yeah intersting place but as you say theres not a lot of gold left. Still a good day out. Anyways thanks 👍

    Onya mate.. In the mid 1970's when suction dredging arrived in OZ my brother and myself did a little work in Anderson's Creek, Warrandyte >> Dredging wasn't so much of an issue back then ;-) .. Great fun and we had some reasonable results.. Like you say its a great spot to visit to do a little panning.. Cheers

      Haha the irony must have reached a critical limit because it wasn't that bad (for where it is in the middle of suburbia) when I was there.
