It was probably difficult to Chester had the children with 3 a different woman. I'm glad Samantha and Chester talked thru what happened and were friends again. I met Sam accidentally waaaaaaay back in the day. It was just a single instance but she was very nice to me and that always stuck with me. No matter what, both families lost a loved one. That's the hardest part about all of this.

I really appreciate how honest Chester was about his depression. I watched a interview where he opened up and what he said sounded exactly like me trying to explain to people how I felt. I know it's so hard to make people understand how it feels when you have clinical depression. Everyone knows how much more there was to Chester than just depression, he was a kind,good hearted man and incredible person and I'm glad he was honest about what was going on in his head because he helped me to reach out for help 🙏
I have so much love and respect for Sam & the amazing mother that she is to Dra. Dra absolutely has the best parts of both his parents! Sam has done a remarkable job raising him as a single mom, for the most part, considering he had a new family. It's easy for people to speculate about both sides, but only God and Chester know the whole truth, so let's not rush to judgement, ever. Chester impacted the entire world in so many ways and his legacy will continue to help heal people in our struggle with depression/mental illness. Damn, I was fine till the end. I feel BOTH of their pain, but I can say confidently he loved you both and he would never want you guys to feel slighted, or to feel left out. Not being told about what happened, but finding out through TMZ, that really bothers me. There is so much more to all this I feel. I'll never forget meeting Chester in 2001 randomly at a gas station. This man was so kind and took time out of his busy day to give a 15 year old kid the moment of his life. I'll never forget it. Love be with you Sam and Draven.

Sam you are so elegant and a professional, full of class lady. I so enjoyed seeing the brief smiles, you both enjoyed while talking about the good memories. Draven is growing up to be so professional and composed himself, as he spoke about the good times between just him and his Father. The two of them together, listening to Chester's music in the car. Draven has stood so tall, and proud through this difficult and very painful year. I applaud you, for raising such a well majored son Sam. I love Draven as if he were my own and with his beautiful, composure and kindness. I thank you so much for doing this interview! Where some LP fans are greatly saddened ourselves, but especially you two for sharing your life and time with him. I respect you both more than words can say. And the end Sam, I had tears burning my face, listening to the afterwards and when you tried to remain strong, but you couldn't contain the sadness, I broke. Draven does look and sound so much like his father. Samantha sounds like a sweetheart. They shouldn't have separated them at the funeral. I do not think that Samantha should have sat in the front row, but Draven should have been and Samantha should have been directly behind him. To not even be thought about to get a call from immediate family members or band members that day is a complete sin. I understand how broken up the family could have been, but we still call those closest to the deceased.

Chester has said it many times, the divorce really fucked with his head and I think he never truly recovered from it even after another marriage with Talinda. With that being said, I'm not blaming Sam for anything since no woman truly wants to deal with adultery and drugs. I still love Chester despite of that. LP was such a huge part for me growing up. RIP Chester. We miss you!
These two never cease to amaze me! So glad Samantha and Draven are happy where they are. Draven is looking more like Chester every day. I'm participating in the AFSP Out of the Darkness walk in Chester's honor. The anniversary is coming up and I don't know what or how I'll feel that day! I'm glad that they're healing regarding Chester's passing. It'll take time but it's for the best.

What be upset about Chester being the face of depression? People who have true depression are the best at making you see what they want you to see. We have faked emotions so everyone else is happy. Chester had the world by the proverbial balls and it wasn't enough to save him. It can happen to anyone is the point, there had to be signs, those who live with depression sometimes just can't understand this life. We are tortured emotionally on the inside and selfish people don't care that they hurt us more. A woman I knew jumped off a bridge leaving her 5 yr old son who struggled with his mom's death, the dad was an asshole, anyway I go to this school lunch thing at a chinese restaurant and a mom who knew her as well says this to me "she was selfish for doing this" that pissed me off to no end and I said "if you have never had real depression then consider yourself blessed, it is a walking living nightmare into hell" she just looked at me and didn't know what to say. Walk a mile in someone else's "mental" shoes before you judge. #DEPRSSIONSUCKS!!
Oh Gosh that was a GREAT way to explain it. I am good at showing face and making everyone around me believe I am okay today. But, inside I feel horrible. The world sucks for the most part. So, I try and focus on something good today. The physical side of depression is rough. I have not wanted to move for days. People do not get it and the people I know that suffer are far from being selfish. This fucking world is selfish and strips ones soul.

She's frowned upon because of what Chester said about her. Same reason the masses chose to believe Mike over Tobi. Because Chester actually said a lot of nasty things about Sam on record and a lot of nice things about Mike on record. That, being Chester's own words is in reality the only actual evidence to indicate was is the truth and what is not at this moment and time.

Everyone is allowed to grieve in their own way... it is a process, and we all go through it differently. Anyone who was part of Chester's life, especially close family, is part of him. It's sad that they weren't called, and I'm glad Draven is handling it as well as he can. I think Talinda and Samantha must be doing something right because all of his kids are remarkable. Let's love each other, as Chester always asked us to.

Samantha has in interesting perspective that I hadn’t thought about him being the face of depression and how that might not sit well with everyone close to him. I’ll have to ruminate on that. It’s strange, the whole dynamic of how the band and his new wife have treated her and Draven since Chester’s death. We can’t know the whole truth so I will always tread lightly and hope for the best for this family in need if healing. It’s hard to understand why the funeral was allowed to be one side but maybe there is s reason? The place where I kind of jump on the Samantha wagon in all this is the apparent joint shunning of Draven as well and the thought of that is despicable. Holding a grudge against an ex is one thing, but having that extend to the child is really indefensible.

I was with her up until the end... he talked about his depression all the time. He chose that for himself, she has no business saying we shouldn't remember him for that. I get that she might not want him to be remembered ONLY for that, but that's not the case- we still remember his music, his charity work, how he was a husband and a father and a friend... but his struggles, and his death, are a part of his story.

No matter what our taste in music is, we was all brought together by those powerful lyrics n amazing songs. Linkin Park brought rock n rap together in the most cohesive balance ever. Rest peacefully Chester it still hurts even a year later. Positive energy to Mike n the rest of LP I can't imagine how testing it was for you guys but Chester would be smiling down on you all for continuing to give your all on stage.

Draven is identical to his father. Not only his looks, the way he speaks, carries himself, his laugh, he’s the spitting image of Chester. I wish this beautiful family all of the love and healing, and God, it’s been 6 years.
She wants him to be remembered for more than just his depression (something he always spoke up about himself and was a part of his life because of childhood trauma) yet she talks about how he was an adulterous, alcoholic, drug addicted rockstar in all her interviews and her book?? He was more than just a rockstar which is why LP and his wife always point out how he was an amazing father, husband and all around kind person. Sam just gets her best friend Cece Woods to write a murder conspiracy article on him and invalidates all his struggles down to caused by his own substance abuse. It's disgusting that she tries to stay relevant this way all at the cost of Chester's loved ones when he spoke frequently right up until at least 2015 on how much he disliked her and how miserable he was married to her.

Thankfully Chester put it in his will for all his children to visit each other and it is paid for by the estate. I do not agree with Talking making Chester the Face of Depression and Suicide. And making money off of it. She didn't have the first clue about mental health awareness until after the fact. I know some of y'all are going to come at me because I said this but, guess what, I suffer from deep clinical depression, bipolar disorder, multiple personality, disorder, suicidal/homicidal tendencies and I have been hospitalized several times and I am on medication an go see a counselor once a week to keep me stable. I advocate for mental health with mental health awareness through photography I sell and put in contests, and expand my viewers and following.

I really appreciate how honest Chester was about his depression. I watched a interview where he opened up and what he said sounded exactly like me trying to explain to people how I felt. I know it's so hard to make people understand how it feels when you have clinical depression. Everyone knows how much more there was to Chester than just depression, he was a kind,good hearted man and incredible person and I'm glad he was honest about what was going on in his head because he helped me to reach out for help 🙏

It's easy for people to speculate about both sides, but only God and Chester know the whole truth, so let's not rush to judgement, ever. Chester impacted the entire world in so many ways and his legacy will continue to help heal people in our struggle with depression/mental illness. Damn, I was fine till the end. I feel BOTH of their pain, but I can say confidently he loved you both and he would never want you guys to feel slighted, or to feel left out. Not being told about what happened, but finding out through TMZ, that really bothers me. There is so much more to all this I feel. I'll never forget meeting Chester in 2001 randomly at a gas station. This man was so kind and took time out of his busy day to give a 15 year old kid the moment of his life. I'll never forget it. Love be with you Sam and Draven.

Draven does look and sound so much like his father. Samantha sounds like a sweetheart. They shouldn't have separated them at the funeral. I do not think that Samantha should have sat in the front row, but Draven should have been and Samantha should have been directly behind him. To not even be thought about to get a call from immediate family members or band members that day is a complete sin. I understand how broken up the family could have been, but we still call those closest to the deceased.
Sad to hear they where somehow not really welcome at his own dad funeral..I feel for you Draven,your a good kid that can say my dad lives forever he is a legend..
Chester has said it many times, the divorce really fucked with his head and I think he never truly recovered from it even after another marriage with Talinda. With that being said, I'm not blaming Sam for anything since no woman truly wants to deal with adultery and drugs. I still love Chester despite of that. LP was such a huge part for me growing up.

What be upset about Chester being the face of depression? People who have true depression are the best at making you see what they want you to see. We have faked emotions so everyone else is happy. Chester had the world by the proverbial balls and it wasn't enough to save him. It can happen to anyone is the point, there had to be signs, those who live with depression sometimes just can't understand this life. We are tortured emotionally on the inside and selfish people don't care that they hurt us more. A woman I knew jumped off a bridge leaving her 5 yr old son who struggled with his mom's death, the dad was an asshole, anyway I go to this school lunch thing at a chinese restaurant and a mom who knew her as well says this to me "she was selfish for doing this" that pissed me off to no end and I said "if you have never had real depression then consider yourself blessed, it is a walking living nightmare into hell" she just looked at me and didn't know what to say. Walk a mile in someone else's "mental" shoes before you judge. #DEPRSSIONSUCKS!!
Oh Gosh that was a GREAT way to explain it. I am good at showing face and making everyone around me believe I am okay today. But, inside I feel horrible. The world sucks for the most part. So, I try and focus on something good today. The physical side of depression is rough. I have not wanted to move for days. People do not get it and the people I know that suffer are far from being selfish. This fucking world is selfish and strips ones soul.

She's frowned upon because of what Chester said about her. Same reason the masses chose to believe Mike over Tobi. Because Chester actually said a lot of nasty things about Sam on record and a lot of nice things about Mike on record. That, being Chester's own words is in reality the only actual evidence to indicate was is the truth and what is not at this moment and time.

Samantha has in interesting perspective that I hadn’t thought about him being the face of depression and how that might not sit well with everyone close to him. I’ll have to ruminate on that. It’s strange, the whole dynamic of how the band and his new wife have treated her and Draven since Chester’s death. We can’t know the whole truth so I will always tread lightly and hope for the best for this family in need if healing. It’s hard to understand why the funeral was allowed to be one side but maybe there is s reason? The place where I kind of jump on the Samantha wagon in all this is the apparent joint shunning of Draven as well and the thought of that is despicable. Holding a grudge against an ex is one thing, but having that extend to the child is really indefensible.

I get that she might not want him to be remembered ONLY for that, but that's not the case- we still remember his music, his charity work, how he was a husband and a father and a friend... but his struggles, and his death, are a part of his story.

Draven is identical to his father. Not only his looks, the way he speaks, carries himself, his laugh, he’s the spitting image of Chester. I wish this beautiful family all of the love and healing, and God, it’s been 6 years.
She wants him to be remembered for more than just his depression (something he always spoke up about himself and was a part of his life because of childhood trauma) yet she talks about how he was an adulterous, alcoholic, drug addicted rockstar in all her interviews and her book?? He was more than just a rockstar which is why LP and his wife always point out how he was an amazing father, husband and all around kind person. Sam just gets her best friend Cece Woods to write a murder conspiracy article on him and invalidates all his struggles down to caused by his own substance abuse.
It's disgusting that she tries to stay relevant this way all at the cost of Chester's loved ones when he spoke frequently right up until at least 2015 on how much he disliked her and how miserable he was married to her.
Thank you, Ruby! You are so right. Sam uses him to making money and to be in the spotlight. He was husband Nr 2 in her list, yet she is enganged with future husband Nr. 5 but always uses Chesters name. Only for cash and fame.
This woman is vile. If you want to preserve someone's legacy you maintain a dignified silence, not write a tell-all book and embark on a media tour to promote it.
It breaks my heart that after Chester died a lot of things happened, Samantha and Draven left to mourn on their own, I'm not blaming his wife because we all mourn differently, but I feel like his family broke up after.
And Jamie on the other side not having a relationship with Chester at all prior to Chester's death.

I do not agree with Talking making Chester the Face of Depression and Suicide. And making money off of it. She didn't have the first clue about mental health awareness until after the fact. I know some of y'all are going to come at me because I said this but, guess what, I suffer from deep clinical depression, bipolar disorder, multiple personality, disorder, suicidal/homicidal tendencies and I have been hospitalized several times and I am on medication an go see a counselor once a week to keep me stable. I advocate for mental health with mental health awareness through photography I sell and put in contests, and expand my viewers and following.
