Thank you. I was at a hobby shop in Burbank California. They stock it. Great store. I'm seeing the brand mire and more but it's pretty easy to get online.
I've a few airbrushes but went and bought that Mr Hobby Creos ps 270 procon boy 0.2 best airbrush I've used! And it wasn't really all that expensive it's just a perfect airbrush for anything! The finest of detail I can lay down with it blows be away how good it is! My iwatas and Badger haven't been used since I got it a couple month ago!
When you were laying the Green down indoors it really looked like the British ww1 forest Green used on some of the mk4s ammos British Khaki Green would I think pass for that looking at it in that light I've only started looking at my paint coats outdoors recently it's amazing the difference! Definitely saves time on repainting when you think a tone isn't correct then go outside and it's spot on! I'm looking for new lights or maybe even try make something that goes right over the top of the bench! Maybe make a PVC arch woth LED strips suck on it so lights every part of the bench up! My lights rubbish just now think there Burning out being on so much! LEDS have a life span of 10k hours or something like that so I've read? But there definitely not as bright at they were!
I was surprised on the lighting. I'm going to be buildingva new work area and I plan to do something like that on lights. I'm thinking multiple for angles and also on a dimmer so I can adjust brightness.
For all my Bundeswehr tanks i have build so far Marder 1A3, Jaguar 1A3, Leopard 2A5 and now Puma IFV i use Vallejo Bronzegrün. It is pretty much the best matching color. Having served on Marder and Leopard they always look rather dark while Nato green is brighter than Bronzegrün. But i always give my tanks a used appearance like adding a bit of mud and dust, not like it was buried in mud but like if it was on a regular exercise.
I totally agree. I like Vallejo results for sure. I agree once painted it has to be weathered a little or it look horrible.the last 2 kits, SPZ Puma and Leopard 2a6m are for someone who wanted a showroom look but I usual make my builds look deployed. I love the marder 1a3 and 1a5. Beautiful piece of machinery.
@@Ricks135scalemodels yes the Vallejo color needs some attention and is mostly just suitable for vehicles that have been in use and are not from the depot or were just washed. Yes Marder are also very reliable machines for sure, never had trouble with them back in the days.
@@Ricks135scalemodels yes I think Revell is the only company which did it. Apart from some minor differences to the original vehicle it was a very good set and looks very good also the parts fits together very good.

@@Ricks135scalemodels Type 1/35 takom luchs,it comes from there,they are better than what the instructions say,they are more in tone to the size of the subject,rather than its true size,personally i think a lot of good modellers mess this up i dont think you should be blinded by what a plastic model distribution company tell you,its just a basic idea,love your channel. Excellent video and very informative. You've convinced me to try the Mr Hobby colours when I get around to actually painting my kits. Also, very interesting to see the difference in the paints when viewed under natural light. Keep up the great work! You say near the start of the painting that in hindsight you would have chosen a darker colour for the primer, rather than using the grey. What would you suggest?
Thank you Alan. I would use the black primer. the Dark Mahogany would work also. I like the black for doing the two-tone effect but the Mahogany would work well. that would look like dirt in the hard to clean areas. I currently building a RFM Leopard 2a6. I plan to do that in the Dark Mahogany for that effect. Either way should work.
Those results are great, I got what I think is close to that, as far as colors go, but I felt that the lack of contrast with such a realistic paint job takes some of the exciting aspects of our hobby. How do you deal with that?

Sorry, being 4 years in the german defends club , you call it bundeswehr, myself . Hands down acrylic looks more authentic. German camouflage color looks always dusty , cause they are. It's almost impossible to get rid of the micro dust on paint job. Either it's factory new or wet. Than I would say laquer might be the better choice.
This build was done for someone who wanted factory new look. I totally agree that one has to weather these for an authentic look. I normally would at a minimum so a white wash and dust look.

You had said you did the Juguar. I'm assuming that was the Revell kit. What did you think about it?
