Failed Uploading: No Upload Port Provided | SOLVED

I have reset my arduino r3 every time I want to upload my sketch.
What I mean is: press reset and in the same second hit upload. Otherwise it fails every time. I don't think it's normal behavior because when it was new I didn't need to do that

Also, make sure you are using a non power only usb cable. Some cables are made stricly for power only for charging your phone, for example. You need a cable that can transmit data

Ripping my hair out. with Arduino Nano clone. Tried to burn sketch, no joy no drivers will install to even assign com port. Bootloader either corrupt or non existent. Not sure about baud rate compatibility issues. Error wrong signature error yikes every time. Someone said to burn using Linux pc as no drivers need installing . Chip on Arduino is showing as ob variant. Installed minicore in Arduino ide more options but same error when using Arduino Uno as icsp and usb asp. What is going on ?

so does the arduino uno r3 just count as the uno?

Any UNO would be fine, R3 or R4
