- www.scottsradios.com Hey everybody.
I give this radio a big thumbs up.
I think for a AM only operator this radio can't be beat.
Now don't get me confused I'm not comparing this to a 10 meter radio. But for a legal CB radio this is probably the best you're going to get for a AM only CB.
I hope you guys enjoy the video and please like and subscribe to my channel.
Perfect little radio 🎙️🎙️🎙️
Yeah actually kind of like this one better than the Richard because of the weather feature.
I don't use the extra frequencies so not a big loss to me there.
Nice radio considering getting one
They have a Walker 3 now.
It comes with AM/FM.
Haven't had a chance to try one. I would say it's going to work rather well just because it's a small change from this model. I was always happy with the Walker 2.
I have an older Uniden 500 Pro, simple as it gets. I had an old Little Will antenna on it which tuned out perfect at 1.0 and 1.3 on ch40. The antenna got water in it and corroded. Replaced it with a NEW Little Will on the same radio. Now my swr on a good Micronta meter runs 1.4 and 1.5 on channel 40 is the best I could get after screwing with the new antenna for over an hour and cut it off twice with my angle grinder. Is it the new antenna being newer junk? Any sugestions to get that swr down a bit?
Thanks for the video. I would love to see it on the scope with the modulation turned up. I also wonder how low the dead key can go?
It is really text book on the scope. It will not flat top or flat line. I'm sold out at the moment on this model. The dead key can go to less than 1 watt I believe.
@@ScottsRadios Thank you sir.
@@027MC7 No problem
What are your feelings on the stock mic...any reason to think about an aftermarket model if it was going to be a daily user in a dump truck?
Factory Mic is ok for day to day use.
Mine didn't last. I use mine in a triaxle dump truck and mine only lasted about a year and now it randomly changes channels, sometimes even while you're talking on it. I don't think it could take the constant pounding you get in a heavy haul type of situation. I'm now looking for a replacement radio, something that can take being in a truck that gets tossed around with huge loads of stone and broken up chunks of concrete.
I would contact President. They will warranty it within 2 years of purchase date.
@@ScottsRadios Well, I guess my first question is, why would I want another unit that won't hold up? Unless they're planning on giving me my purchase price back, which we both know won't happen, why even bother? The first thing they're going to say is it was hooked up wrong or I dropped it or find some way to blame it on me. The next thing is they're going to want it back to see what is wrong with it which still leaves me without a radio and I'd still need a new one because we use ours several times a day and I can't be tied up waiting for them to tell me no.
@@Dirthauler65 they have a great warranty. Doesn't hurt to try.
which adapter does the Walker II take to convert it for a 4 pin? is it a ranger or magnum?
Magnum.
Will this radio work with a talkback controller?
The radio has TalkBack.
@@ScottsRadios I know that, but it's not loud enough.
@@bluehappyscrap I think there is some external speakers on the market that have a TalkBack feature built into them.
This may help you in that situation.
President
Can this be turned up ? Do u do this ?
Yes it can and I do do that.
