    Hallo David! I'm glad I bumped into this. I love how straightforward you are in the concepts here and the fact that you showed where numbers are coming from. It guided me all throughout and boost my confidence in analyzing on my own using SPSS. More vids like this. More power!

    Hi David
    Your videos are really helpful for PhD students like me. Can you please make a detailed video like this one for TWO-WAY REPEATED MEASURES MANOVA using group (experimental group and control group) and time (pre-test and post-test) as independent variables? I have seen tutorials for analyses like ONE-WAY REPEATED MEASURES ANOVA, ONE-WAY MANOVA, ONE-WAY REPEATED MEASURES MANOVA but can't find a single tutorial for TWO-WAY REPEATED MEASURES MANOVA. Your video (if you decide on making it) would be of great help to me.
    Thank you

    Hi David, your videos are really useful. Do you offer private tuition? I have a statistics exam coming up in my MSc psychology

    Hi Dr David,
    I would like to ask all these reporting styles you mentioned are APA 7th.??
    I’ve been checking all your videos about SPSS reporting
    Please let me know

      Hi Dinithi, thanks for your question. Yes, I generally report in APA style in examples.

    Hi David, I have a quick question, do we need to test the unidimensionality of the variables before running the analysis?

    Hi David, I have found your video very helpful. If I have 6 dependent variables, do I have to write up all the different combinations for the pearson's section for assumption of multicollinearity?

    thank you very much for this informative video. I did a Manova in R with two dependent variables with 3 groups. My values of F, Hypothesis df etc do differ. Is this an indication that I did something wrong? In the section starting around 21:00 minutes, you mention that these values should be identical.

    Whats the rationale of using scores tested for assumptions of MANOVA?
    Means whether pre test scores or post test scores or gain scores are used for testing assumptions of MANOVA

    Hi
    If the p value is less than 0.05 under the tests of normality, do i stop there or continue the steps aswel?

    • @DavidRobinsonPhD
      @DavidRobinsonPhD  2 года назад +1

      Hi,
      Thanks for your question.
      The test is robust to violations of normality, especially with larger samples (e.g., more than 20 participants in each group). Therefore, you could still complete the test, though, if you write a report based on the analysis, you might want to suggest that the results should be interpreted with caution due to the violation. To support the robustness claim, you could cite Pallant (link currently in description).
      Hope that helps!
      David.

    Also I have two dependent variable and one independent variable but the data is not normally distributed so can I follow MANOVA or??

    • @DavidRobinsonPhD
      @DavidRobinsonPhD  2 года назад +1

      Hi Dinithi, thanks for your question. Normality is an assumption of the analysis, though the test is considered relatively robust to violations. Therefore, you could still run the analysis, but you might want to mention in your report that the results should be interpreted with caution.

      @@DavidRobinsonPhD Thank you for the reply since that is for my main hypothesis is there any other way or is it okay to do only Mann Whitney U?

    • @DavidRobinsonPhD
      @DavidRobinsonPhD  2 года назад

      @@Deensism Hi Dinithi, Mann-Whitney U tests would be suitable for testing hypotheses such as, “depression will be higher among the unemployed than among the employed” and “quality of life will be higher among the employed than among the unemployed”.
