Lorna, this is an inspiring sharing , I have learnt a lot, sometimes the people we meet in life need our support but at times we fail to see it. But I'm grateful to God that you are healing.
Am glad that Lorna has not lost faith in God. I also passed half way what Lorna passed through and i also feared marriage so much but God blessed with a man who understood me and embrassed my back ground so well, but what has made my marriage so sweet till date is that i learnt from all the mistakes my parents did and learnt that i have to love my self so that i can be able to raise my kids in love.
She's good and speaks with respect I wish she gets a good husband who won't again stresses her with violence and pain like what she grew seeing I wish her all the best and she deserves to be loved baambii❤❤❤
I understand that feeling 😢... carrying other people's burdens and they don't care or have any thoughts of how your copying up with your own feelings.....and the world calls us introverts😢😢😢😢
Thanks for the show..ive learnt that everyone has their own unique life and they must live it...even our parents had their own troubles growing up.. it's about overcoming
Thank you Lorna for sharing - I still struggle with the forgetting part. I forgave but I will never forget and trust fully again . Mothers are meant to love and protect us and when they hurt us it causes soo much emotional and psychological pain .
My real story😢even now i just say that i forgave my mum naye every time i remember what i went through muwulirako obusungu 😢😢my dad was there by myself but now he's no more 😢😢thats why im starting to luv my mum but its not easy for me ,nsaba Allah to intervene coz i passed through alot with my siblings being their big cc and at the same time their mum ,i became a mum of three boys at the age of six years😢😢😢😢
QUOTE Lorna '' Mubufumbo tebagabirayo birabo, you need to make it work'' then next Ruth asks'' are you scared ??'' answer by LORNA '' Very much so '' I have noticed that in life kids who have been brought up in dysfunctional homes/families have a negative attitude towards the Institution of marriage and that was my attitude also having been brought up in 3 different such families, I had vowed never to get married and wanted to become a monk, problem was I was not catholic, however I have realized that if you follow biblical principles in your marriage( that is a wide topic of which am not an expert) which Include praying to God for a good mate even before getting one for marriage, I guarantee your marriage will work out (mine has worked out). BILLY GRAHAM who was an American Evangelist that died in 2018 was once asked by a News reporter the secret to his long and happy marriage and he referred that question to his wife, the answer that the wife gave was startling she said '' a good marriage is made up of TWO GOOD FORGIVERS'' So Lorna do not give up on marriage
may GOD bless you Ruth for this and that girl and her family her story is touching almost the same as mine and she's right when you attach yourself with GOD, its the beginning of many victories f healing favor wealth health love joy peace ....majorly understanding the purpose of life.,,, HAPPY EASTER

Hey there! If you're struggling with the effects of having a narcissistic mother, I highly recommend doing some research on the topic. It can be really eye-opening and provide you with a lot of peace and understanding. Give it a try and see how it can help you!Everything will start to make sense!
This is right most especially when you not able to help out n the be sharing for you to help them n when you distance yourself yhey get angry and that's what is going on with me right now
Oh dear, she was never a child i watched her mom speak of how she depressed her daughter, beat her up for nothing but i did not know tht it was this deep. Lorna you are such a beautiful girl. I pray you heal internally. Cause tht was such a traumatic childhood. Ruth thanks for this! Depression, stress mental health,is a serious issue that shld be addressed intensively.
On Parenting: Never allow your children to know the weaknesses of their father. Don’t even make them know what made you separated or divorced in the first place however much they ask. It’s not their business. I know we live in a society where everyone is encouraging you “to speak up” but ask yourself, when this information lands in the ears of my children, what will they think of me and their father?? Like in the case of the Daniella lady, I saw low-thinkers encouraging her to speak out and all but that’s wrong. In the case of trying to gain public sympathy she’s alienating the father from the children. When children hate their father that’s the beginning of unhappiness and mental breakdown. A good mother will protect her children from anything negative abt their father. If the father is an idiot, give them a chance to find out themselves but try not to be the one to tell them. You’ll loose twice!!
I think you can't just ignore when they ask, children are inquisitive these days.Just give them an answer that doesn't create negativity in their minds
How can a parent be blessed with such a beautiful, tall, well spoken daugther and call her ugly. I dont understand...
She's so young with so much experience, she speaks so maturely. You're so brave and strong. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Lorna for sharing your story. Many of us,(including me) relate with you in so many ways, some of us still in a shell but God is with us
Lorna, this is an inspiring sharing , I have learnt a lot, sometimes the people we meet in life need our support but at times we fail to see it. But I'm grateful to God that you are healing.

How about if they are asking questions ,how do you deal with that?
