Great video Adam! I like to think of those filters like this (based on Newtonian physics): Friction will give you a torque as a function of position Damping will give you a torque as a function of wheel rotational velocity Inertia will give you a torque as a function of wheel rotational acceleration
Going to re think my settings. I lost so much past since going to dd but I say if you are fast before it’s always comes down to setup of the wheel. Cheers bro hope I can get back my pace.
Hi Adam. How would you tackle oscillation on a straight on a SC2 Pro? As I understand it you should be able to let go on a wheel, or hold it with your finger tips on a straight without it oscillating and losing control.
I have the oscillation issue even sitting still in N the damn wheel starts oscillating…adding damping helps but then seems to make the steering too light in the turns. Going to give the settings you showed a try.
Im very new to sim racing. What i dont understand is if we change all these settings in the Simucube software, how does that effect the setting in the games, like ACC or IRacing? Seems to me theyd be working against eachother. If i change "gain" and or filter" in ACC then the changes i made in Simucube dont mean much. If i set gain to x value in simucube and y value in ACC then why not set one of them to 0 value and make adjustments in one or the other? I feel a big difference bewteen ACC and AC wheel settings. Which pretty much negates what i did in the settings in Simucube. I feel like either the games should control it or the Wheel base manufacturers should, not both.
Hey Adam great video I run the a car do you know what setting I could adjust to get the most feeling of the rear end sliding out? The setting to help assist in saving the car? Do you have a facebook page for messenger?
Hi! I am new to Direct drive, and comming from beltdriven CSW 2.5 base unit to a Siumucube 2 Pro Base unit. And right now I am hunting complete profiles like Dan Suzuki and Daniel Morad setups, and I wonder how I find your setup that you talking about in this video, the setup you use and have tuned to your likings.
You should point out that the "direct input effects," do not do ANYTHING in Iracing. Other games, maybe, but I do not know what games those are. However, I know 100% that it does nothing in Iracing.
I don't get how people can run recounstruction filter at 1. Its waaaay to grainy. Just feel it in corners, your whole wheel is stuttering and its just so unrealistic. I run it at 8 and its smooth all the way yet still fast. Honestly its more realistic but people are obsessed with everything as fast as possible.. Like shit anyone what tyres are made of?
I'm new to this ... I have a simucube pro 2 .... only problem I have is why is shake when u let go of the wheel ? How to i fix that ??? I'm lookin everywhere for this n nobody talk about it .... when I'm in the straight away I let go of the wheel n it goes crazy
@@bobg1859 I would never use irFFB with a Simucube wheel base. True Drive has all the reconstruction filters that irFFB does and they do it better IMO. irFFB blocks iRacing from communicating with True Drive and by extension your wheel base. All data now flows through irFFB and only irFFB. If I was using a belt or gear driven wheelbase, then I'd use irFFB 100%
I'm just getting into this really Andy, a little late to the party but really gaining so much knowledge from your tutorials. Thanks mate
As always, your information is technical yet easy to understand and spot on. Thank you!
Adam I am trying to add you on discord and cannot find you.

I studied theoretical particle physics back in my 20s and I've still got a headache from it.
You are 100% correct though.

Increase damping incrementally until you find that sweet spot. Different cars may require different settings depending on the level of FFB you run

I haven't shared my setup yet as I keep forgetting to do it. I'll try and remember to post it in TrueDrive this weekend
@@AdamHeart Thanks.
I can remaind you after the weekend if I dont find any profile from you in True Drive 🤣😉
Adam do you have a profile that can be downloaded to True Drive?
Also what pedals you run bro. Myself I have HE sprints. Cheers on the vid can’t wait to test this out n fine tune my wheel

There are a few ways to approach this. What sim are you mainly running?

Noice!!!! Keep pushing!
Adam go you have a profile on True Drive that can be downloaded?
I use Daniel Morad's profile for all but the Porsche Cup as I have a custom profile I made for that. I'll upload it to True Drive later on today.
