Great tutorial. Cotton balls with wax are long lasting and hot so they are effective, especially if things are damp. Whenever I see a birch tree I steal some bark. Works well with the cotton balls. A friend who is an Arborist gave me a pick up truck load of Birch logs. One of the hottest types of firewood. Great video!

Do you ever do a long video in fact what is it you do do on you tube I’ve had a look through the very short adverts and can’t realy see any real outdoors life and real-time outdoors that said comment below what you hope to achieve doing what you do I’m confused

Sometimes it's nice to light a fire this way .
But my go to is always a lighter . It's far far easier . But having said that , these techniques are extremely valuable , and in my eyes essential to know too .
For that one time when ya forget and leave ya lighter at home .
When ya lighter runs out of gas/fuel .
When ya lighter falls out of ya pocket .
When ya put ya lighter down to use then step on it and break it .
All real life situations I've found myself in .Hence why I now carry five or six dotted about my vehicle , person , bag .
Good stuff to know here .
Are ya gonna do some of the less well known ways to light a fire too ?
