style 42's arent welded. its common for some 3 piece wheels that are OEM to be welded together. a lot of the Japanese 3 piece wheels are welded. helps them stay sealed over time.
Yeah I know, the 42s are two piece. I was just sketched out by splitting them apart to refinish them and putting them back together. Needless to say I was a little nervous the first drive after putting them back together, but all is good today.
The only thing I don’t get is that there is no groove on the reverse side of the wheel centre so I’m not sure how you keep the rear barrel aligned. I feel like once you put weight on that, it will shift slightly. Let me know because I’m interested in doing this
What grit sandpaper did u use? I also seen you rheeming the edges what tool did u use? I just purchased some style 5s because you got me so hype and inspired
EuroGarage oh they only come apart on 3 piece wheels. Hmmmm i have some BBS wheels one is bent, not sure if they are 2 or 3 piece. On my range rover, not even sure if they are OEM
technopro 2000 this might be working but as soon as you get checkt by the police or even get in to an accident, you're in trouble. As long as i can find a nice an legal solution, i'm not taking any risk ;)
Cheap and very low. Fitment was pretty good considering its for the wrong car. the thing i like the least is that rear shocks have a shitload of travel unlike my BCs that were adjustable.

I keep coming back to this video. Watched it 50 times now.
If you spray some wd40 on the aluminum and your sanding disk it won't clog up as much get some more time with each disk
And I thought taking apart my Style 42s was sketchy, at least I didn't break out the grinder. Very impressive work as always!

I torqued mine down to spec and was a little weirded out but, after about 5 minutes I was good.
Good job.
Does anyone know if any other lip would fit?
YOU'RE MAD, JUST WITH AN ANGLE GRINDER LIKE THAT....LOVE IT...
Great work, I want to do something like that for my Camaro

seems like these would be hell to try and balance
Before you try and mount up anything, have a tyre shop balance each ring first otherwise you'll never true your wheels
This is a cool way to do on the cheap But it looks like your going have a really hard time stretch a tire on it the iner bead is short
Uh yeah, Bavaria!
Do u think its fine to run these reverse lip for track/ aggressive street driving
Don't you need something like a gasket or some sillicone to seal the rim ? these cold connections cannot be airtight right ?
usually people put a seal over to keep it airtight yes...
Like a rubber strip on the inside over the seems ?
ruclips.net/video/EH9BsuZd7Z0/видео.html guess this will show in a better sense
Yes this will be covered in later videos in this series, but they are sealed after assembly.
Holy this is genius
Good luck getting a decent stretch tyre on
Look nice what sealant do you plan to use? I would used Urethane for windshields but maybe you ha e some idea up you’re sleeve
I'm looking forward to the other parts of this mod.

can i put my bbs center caps on ARE rims???
My mechanic wants to buy my e24 rims to chop up into 3 piece rims
I have a 528e and want to do a manual swap. Any insight will be greatly appreciated
Will bbs rs lip fit on them?
can you do this with any rim? or do i need the 1 with the screws, i;m trying to widen my amg rims, thanks
They look nice. You going to paint them and or polish them?
I swear at 7:04 I can hear the lady sing 'Ive been sanding my wheels'
*Spinnin I think
@@BlOOD_RAV3N ah, makes sense. still relates to the video haha
Is it dangerous doing something like this?
I know it converted but most 3piece has air stems I didn’t see none in this vids
I think the inner rim is gonna rub against your suspension real bad. Might not even be able to mount it on the hub
In theory couldn’t you attach the lip & barrel together, then mount the face behind them both to gain a few extra mm’s off negative offset?
Greasy Style yes this will all be covered. It all comes down to fitting it in there.
Does anyone know if they will clear brembo brakes?
ive seen about 3 diferent wheels on this car......what wheels are actually on this car?
How much n where did u get the lips ? Turned out sickkk
Where did you get the barrels?
Nice videos...Just got a new subscriber!
What are you doing for the valve stem?
I'm considering moving it to the inside of the wheel!
What size hardware are you using to rebuild the 3 piece?
🤤 are those gonna fit under the fenders? Are you gonna chop them up too?
Why did you cut the outer lip off doesnt it come off when you unbolt it?
Timothy Berlinski not on 2 piece wheels.
EuroGarage oh they only come apart on 3 piece wheels. Hmmmm i have some BBS wheels one is bent, not sure if they are 2 or 3 piece. On my range rover, not even sure if they are OEM
How much would u charge 2 do my wheels
So 9 up front and 12 in the back?!? 😲
Love it need more
I would never pass any inspection with these ryms here in germany :(
Luca Rietzler You can pass the inspection first, then after the inspection put the modified rims! :)

Impressive work !🤩
Quick question on he solo werks.
How satisfied are you with them ?
Cheap and very low. Fitment was pretty good considering its for the wrong car. the thing i like the least is that rear shocks have a shitload of travel unlike my BCs that were adjustable.
Got it! So would you recommend them ? Probably not huh
For the price they are far better than the alternatives man.
Heart made.
Bro where do you get the money for all this?
I work, a lot.
EuroGarage are you in college too?
Detailing Finesse technically yes.
8" is not enough but 12" is too much.

Not a hater, but to big diffrence between 8inch/12inch rims
Yolo 4LYFE as in front and rear? I think you’re misunderstanding what I’m doing then.
Definitely not running staggered 8/12
oh i see. so you're using 2 inner barrels
I hope you didn't heat the aluminium too much 😬
Poor red IKEA rug 😭
hella wide
