She's MUCH better looking in all three modes did than Drift. Drift had bot and car mode down, but that helicopter mode hurt to look at for me. Really thinking of possibly getting Shatter.
Worth every penny
TBF the helicopter mode in the movie was kind of janky, too.
Got mine earlier this week and she’s great makes me excited for Metagate doing a Dropkick

Watching these sequences are the best way to learn a complex transformation because you just know that the creator had to study the sequence pretty deep to find the most smooth way of doing it so it wont jack up the stop motion.
You have it backwards. I have very specific opinions about the proper method to transform a figure. I make the videos to document my method. Obsessive sequencing is primary.
@@peolesdruI think that's what he was trying to say though. That you had to go through it a few times to find the best way to transform the figure that may or may not be the order of operations as intended to make the most efficient animation
@@TheLazyEyebrowI think the difference is he finds the best transformation to use regardless of if he makes any videos or not. Then he uses the stop motion to act as a video instructions for the best transformation he has figured out. NOT the best transformation to make the video easiest but THE best hands down.
@@TheLazyEyebrow I just mean the goal is not to create a video per se, it's to work out the best sequence I can. So I am definitely concerned with sequence, but not because I'm making a video.

@@peolesdru Just sent you a tip; not much but I appreciate the effort and quality of videos like this for nerds like me who love these figures. Please keep these up. I actually used to experiment with doing my own powerpoints of transformations of figures like this but it was just never effective. I vaguely remember being 11 years old, getting a transformer from Walmart, and just innately being able to convert it without ever looking at the instructions, deluxe class or top end, but those days are behind me clouded by all kinds of other stuff in my brain, or just age LOL.
Oh and sort of related, is there an online community or subreddit or something for transforming figures in general, particularly pertaining to the repair and customization of the figures? It seems like you're probably more in touch with the pertinent community than I am. I'm asking because I had an unfortunate recent issue with the foot of my Lewin Resources Atlas figure cracking off. I was able to come up with a pretty successful fix for it, and according to TFSource this is a pretty common failure mode (to their credit they offered me a refund prior to me attempting repair). It is a really cool figure with an easily correctable design flaw and I wanted to make sure it was out there, if it wasn't already. Simple as the fix is I'm assuming I'm late to the party, but same in any case.

Even learned you can take out the jet wheels by moving her "knee caps" just now, don't think I saw any reviewer show this.
You made the whole transformation look so easy and smooth.
Yeah I was like "too bad the back wheels don't retract..." and then "oh ho ho!"
@@peolesdru yeah great find mate, when I saw her go to jet mode, I thought, too bad he forgot the wheels, guess they'll appear out of nowhere.
Then I saw the wheel come out and was happily surprised. i'v been transforming her "legs" this whole time to get those wheels in and out, for on the flight stand.
I had just done that DreamStar figure and it definitely requires you to do a major reconfiguration to hide the front landing gear, so at first I assumed she'd be the same way. It was a fun discovery.

Happy to hear you've had absolutely no issues with this figure. I was afraid the transformation would have way too much going on to be enjoyable, but Meta Gate pulled it off. I have to laugh at all the start-up companies making much better engineered figures of complex film designs than 3P vets making simple G1 designs. By the way, have you seen Unique Toy's Dino figure? It looks insanely well executed. Wishing happy holidays!

@@peolesdru that would sick imagine they make a rise of the beast unicron even though they don't have a robot but I saw a video a few months ago from drakious channel and it showed a short animation of unicron from rise of the beast if he had a robot mode.

While I can respect the audacity of creating Bayverse style triple changers, couldn’t the third mode be more Cybertronian in nature? That way it’d be easier on the Earth mode (example, a normal Plymouth and a Cybertronian plane.) Still though, this thing’s a beauty.
Well, in the movie one moment showed them imitating the jet and helicopter from earth examples.

Not at all, it's very well designed.
I want to be enjoying her with y'all but either mine is lost or it got stolen off my front porch. Tracking on ShowZ says delivered but ive got nothin'. USPS tracking says a label was created but its not in their system.

@@peolesdru Yeah. 17track said delivered on 12/23 to front porch. She showed up a couple hours yesterday after making my comment on this video. But it wasn't in the traditional packaging of ShowZ. You know, the white poly bag with orange tape. It was in a black bag with a return address of "Online Seller." The "Online Seller" shipping label looked as if it has been plastered over the original shipping label. The package itself looked like it had been sitting somewhere for a bit. Wet and covered with plant material not from my yard. Also, you know how ShowZ includes a random character card and insignia stickers in every purchase? Well, those were missing from the package.
