Oh I dunno..in the area where I live they seem to have a rule about running a body shop in your driveway. You know...that whole paint Isocyanate thingy.
I love sharing things I've learned over the years with you guys, taking the mystery out of framework and other aspects of body work is why I do these videos :-)
Having “discovered “ your channel the previous video, I wanted to say you have a excellent way of describing what, why, and how to fix body damage. Other body fix video doesn’t explain in detail like you. I like that. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to your next one
Just binged all your videos, after having followed all your advice regarding spray painting on your driveway, and painting my own 2007 VW Polo, although with a chead LVLP R500 chinese spray gun. Turned out great :). You are a very skilled mechanic, and videographer, so I am really looking forward to the last video in the Mazda series, if you ever got around to finishing it that is :) Thank you for some enjoyable hours of information - very inspirational.
Excellent video showing auto body repair process in thorough detail! I'm pretty sure most commercial auto body repair shops probably wouldn't be half as careful & thorough in the repair process, as the repair process shown in this great video presentation.

Good job.ive done a similar repair on an f150.when I aligned it it took more shimming than I would have liked but drove it for years with no problems and my son's drove it years afterwards.dont know how I would feel about selling it to someone.but if your gonna drive it it's well worth it
This has been my wife's daily for over a year now. No issues at all :) I try to get all of my panels into place as precisely as possible (that's where the use of a laser really shines ) so that there is no need for shimming 😊
Hello I've watched a couple videos and 👍 great stuff. Anyways I was wondering if you are in the Puget Sound region of Washington State? - Its the 206 in your channel's name for why Im asking.
This wreck is starting to look like a car again. What a difference to when you first started. It looked way worse at the start than it actually was once you got into it. When you were describing how you were removing the damaged panels, I knew you would be using a spot welder for reassembly. Looking forward to the final video and seeing the car all finished.
Drilling the old panels out was probably my least favorite part of the whole process. But with the old panels out of the way all the new stuff went on and lined up pretty quickly. And it took less than 15 minutes to get everything welded in with the spot welder. Now, if I used the mig welder to get everything welded in, then afterwards I would have to spend at least an hour or more on leveling all of the welds down with a grinder. I had to do none of that when I use the spot welder, it is a big time saver !!!
My guy! I just came across your videos & I’m hooked. I watched the first suv video too! I’m awaiting the final video of this repair. Hey post it next week PLEASE! I think I’m going to subscribe and forward your channel! 👌🏾🔥💎👑
Thanks for the informative video. One question I have is how do you ascertain that undamaged strut tower off which you are baselining your vertical alignment has also not moved. What I mean is that both the strut towers for example might have moved down with UNdamaged one moving down 4 mm therefore, how do you confirm that ? How would you baseline ? Thanks again
It takes quite a bit of force to move a strut tower over, therefore I can say with 100% certainty that the strut tower on the undamaged side did not move any at all...
Greetings from Poland. In the USA, damaged cars are cheap and we buy them from the East (Poland, Ukraine, Gruza etc) and repair them. Even though we have to pay at least USD 4,000 for cargo, VAT, shipping, etc., after the repair we still earn about 20%. You probably have a larger one, although an hour of work by a bodyworker or painter in Poland is only about -40 USD

It would be interesting to download the link to the program that has the measurements of the car's body or where to buy it, or a dedicated video on how to do this process for your followers...
really no need for the laser level but really good to actually show just how much skill and labour is involved for those who winge about an underpaid trade

Hey I love you job. Unfortunately I had an accident and my car is totalled. It is a 2003 Celica GTS. I am planning to fix it as the insurance covers some costs. It has bend frame rails. Where can I get the schematics for a front end collision ? Do I have to buy it ? I want to give em to my mechanic and possible show him you repair video. I hope he does not get insulted. I might have to buy a laser as I think he does not have. I live in a poor country :(

Right now I'm trying to concentrate on personal vehicles or the stuff that makes money, I started out on the five window Chevy not realizing how much time it's going to take to get it done and that rebuild sure isn't going to pay the bills, so far it has been put on a back burner for a while... Hopefully I'll get to it one of these days :-)

Hey there, I was wondering, where do you get the measurements for cars? In your previous (Mazda) videos I’ve seen you have complete measurements of frame rail distance and so on. I’ve looked around and haven’t been able to find any info anywhere. Would you be able to help me with that?
He has access to official OEM repair documentation from his job through Mitchell estimation software. There's plenty of software out there that does the same thing, another one I can think of off the top of my head is ALLDATA. These software programs are not cheap and are intended for repair shops but you can purchase a monthly or yearly license for about $20 a month or $60 a year for ALLDATA DIY edition or $2,748.00 a year for ALLDATA PRO edition. You may get lucky searching the internet but I wouldn't count on it. You can try to friend someone who works in a shop and prints out/screen captures the info you need.

How would I find body dimensions for my 2012 Lexus gx460. I had a minor accident in the rear and the rear door (hatch) closes but doesn’t line up perfect, same with right rear taillights
I always start by googling the chassis dimensions... Sometimes you get lucky and find them online for free... Other times you have to buy them, there are websites that sell dimensions for just about any vehicle
I don't really have any blueprints, I'm thinking about doing a more detailed video on the frame rack later down the road where I'll go over all of the dimensions. But if you're interested, here is the video of how I built that frame rack: ruclips.net/video/krCki0BT8Fw/видео.html
For structural parts either go to the wrecking yard to get used parts, or go to dealer for brand new parts. All of my parts were from a dealer, and they were actually not as much as I thought they would be
I went over on how I go about that in the first video of this build, if you're interested here's the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/3mwsqGRthSE/видео.html

Great video. Sorry if I missed it, but what is the name of the tool you used to pull the valley in the door? Not the clamp you first used to pull. It looked like a welder?
It's very interesting, but this vlogger is not going to be around for long. There is too much talk and not enough action. Viewers want to see more work on vehicles. He has tools he made himself, but I don't see a workshop he can work in.
Been here awhile, not planning on leaving anytime soon... I literally explain what it is that I'm doing and why I'm doing it that way as I am doing the work. Not sure how much more action I can cram into a video. The whole point of the channel here is that you don't need a workshop to get stuff done. If I had a nice facility that I worked out of, then lots of viewers may just get an impression that they wouldn't be able to do the same since they are lacking the facility
