i completely understand the do-over. I honestly think I'll like this one a bit more, it looks more cinematic. I didn't feel like we got much introduction to Jack on the original series. I'm glad we get to see more of what his life was like before the apocalypse
I have no problem with a restart. If you are able to plan the story more effectively out because of this, that's good. It helps percent burn out form occurring later. Also, if you do get burned out again but don't want to reboot the series again, you can just switch perspectives. So instead of telling the story of these characters you can change to the perspective of another character somewhere else in the same world. Like how are some of the other students doing? What about Jeff from the gas station down the road? How well did he handle the apocalypse? Things like that, the other nice thing with doing this is that if you get really attracted to a character you can have them appear later in the main series as a cameo, or if you run out of ideas for them just kill them off, makes the apocalypse feel more dangerous without drastically derailing the main story as well as helps flesh out the world more.
i just finished ur old version of this series. I dont watch gacha often but I have to say ur skills are sooo impressive, I can see how much you improved! Keep up the good work!!
This is great so far! I really enjoyed the first time around with this series and you can tell that you’ve put in a lot of work with this one. The editing is very smooth and pleasing to watch as well as the character designs.Also can’t wait to watch the characters dynamic develop again because they are both really sweet and I love it. Anyways, I hope your motivation stays strong and that you are able to enjoy this story again! Looking forward to more :)

Dex's reaction feels soo much more realistic now (he's still a dick obviously lmao, but a more realistic one, at that, as in the old one, his whole speech about pretending to be Arlo's friend felt kind of... unrealistic? But now you did a great job of doing "show, don't tell". So instead of Dex telling the audience he was just using Arlo, he shows it! So great job on that one!!!

I like the background music and the background noises but during the beginning in was a little overwhelming to me with the how loud the overlapping talking was it was hard for me to focus idk why. I completely understand that you started over! I used to be an editor myself and I would always push off my projects like alll the time and then just never have the motivation to finish them…. I think it was a good choice to start over because it just makes your work better!🩷 cant wait till episode two!

Usually when someone restarts a story I’d be bummed out, but with this I’m not hating it😮 It’s nice to see ZA in the new GL2 style and some of the changes in the story are refreshing and don’t seem repetitive😋👍 Like Jack having a crush on Arlo beforehand, Arlo and Dex’s “friendship” being foreshadowed to be toxic before the break off (It feels more believable here than the old pt.1 where Dex seems to be b*tch out of nowhere😶…….), Arlo chilling beside a tree playing music instead of being picked on in the cafeteria, Those changes are pretty nice and doesn’t go against its core story👍 I’m excited for more short episodes coming😁👏👏 And dw man there’s no need to rush yourself😗👍
