Wow, a real gear review by real people who use the product. I have been getting used to what amounts to paid advertising with gear review in the title. Bravo!
Great video. Good to see honest user reviews rather than unboxings and paid reviews. Ive recently purchased a set of scott attack knee/shin gaurds as i was getting a lot of cuts on my shins through riding narrow woodland trails and from stones being thrown up from front tyre. Will be doing a first impressions review soon than a more in depth review later in the year after using them more. Subbed your channel always enjoy watching local riders.
Looking for some light knee protection for when I go snowboarding and a search for the Dainese brought me here. I do miss MT biking I have not done that in 30 years. Maybe I should pick up the hobby again so I can go fast down hill during the summer and winter. :)
5:11 Great review. I wear Joint VPD2.0 DH long and Shin pads so the pads don't slide down, but if I crawl or kneel or move around while on my knees I might pull the pads some, so might need to align the front pad and the top might need alignment, but so far no issues in crashes, but I don't crash often. so if working on the drivetrain on the trail, or need to crawl under a fallen tree, it might happen. but great coverage, fit, comfort. but they are warm & sweaty. also easy to repair the stitching. So in Mid summer I have to take them off on easy sections like on the way to riding area, so all asphalt and paths or dirt roads I don't wear them, but now it's winter, so I wear them but in spring and autumn I wear them too.
I use the POC VPD 2.0 for BMX and they are awesome. They are hot, that's true, but the protection is VERY high level. I feel very safe with them. They aren't that bulky. They WILL fit under your jeans easily as long as you're not wearing skinny jeans.
@@MudandnomakeupMTB heheheheh , Ill have to check that : > Hey have you or your partner tried the IXS dagger ? Hard to get but look to offer great protection and I really like my cleavers.

Awh thank you! So glad you found it useful! I recently reviewed flat pedal shoes, the video is on my channel 😄 do you ride clips or flats?
@@MudandnomakeupMTB I ride both types of pedals.
Ah awesome well if you are looking for new flats, here's the link 😀

Yeah I would go with medium 😁

It's definitely a great combination of hobbies so you can shred all year round 💪✨
Thanks for sharing your experiences with these pads!
No problem! Hope it helped you choose your next pair 😁

Do you suggest this instead vpd air? Are the 2.0 sensibile more protective or they are similar?
@@XqDezzy10 different padding, more protection, longer, and the elbow pads have two velcro straps.
Glad you liked it 😊
Don't stop with the channel, it will be successful
Thankyou ! I'm still working on it 😁
Great review. I like that they`re well tested by the looks of them. It helped me decide what I`ll be buying. Keep up the good work. Subscribed
Thankyou! Yeah we use them all a lot! Thankyou for subscribing! Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see!

Awh nice! Glad you like them 😊 I was dissapointed mine fell to bits after a few months but Steve really likes his. Maybe I had a faulty pair
great vid guys. helped me decide what to buy.
Great to hear!
Great video been thinking of getting pads for a while this helped big time. Cheers guys 👍👍
Glad it was useful! Do you know which ones you'll go for?
@@MudandnomakeupMTB not to sure yet as legs are not that meaty lol. Will watch again and see 👀 will let you know 😉 😊
Dainese trail skin or the Fox ones need to check size
@@davewatt8840 if you check the size charts for each you should be grand 🤟
Nicely done. Keep em coming!
Thankyou ! Going to do some filming over the next week 😊
Thanks for the reviews, it was very helpful!
Great to hear it helps! I share more often on Instagram @mud_and_no_makeup
Amazing review decided on fox launch d30's thankyou
Nice! Hope you like them as much as I do!
Thanks! GCN had dainese as a video sponsor so wanted to get an unbiased review.
Glad you found it useful!
Hi. Nice review! What size are those fox knee guards?
Large ☺️
thanks you. you a really help my choice.
And hello from Estonia
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it! Hello from the UK 🇬🇧
Great video. How are the Dainese Trail Skin Pro on hot and humid days? Are they still cool, or do they get pretty warm?
They are the most ventilated pads I've ever had. Because they are a kind of mesh you can actually feel air getting to your knees
Top tips, thank you👍🤙🤘
No worries! Glad it helped!
FOX D3o, not D30 😊. BTW, nice comparison. Thanks.
I need one of these as I had an off yesterday, right knee and left shin opened up
Ouch! Deffo time to get some pads, heal fast!
use soccer shin guards , cheap and good
can you make the first pads like tighter so they fit better?
The ixs ones already fitted well ☺️
Cleavers are on the wrong leg. Best DH pads going . Have you tried the short cleaver ? I have used POC for years but they are getting hard to find .
They have left and right labels so they are on the correct legs 😊

Hey have you or your partner tried the IXS dagger ? Hard to get but look to offer great protection and I really like my cleavers.
I did a few years ago but couldn't get a good fit, they may have improved the fit now though!
Fox pro could be used underpants?
What do you mean?
would you say the fox launch pro are big in size?
I used the size chart and they fitted perfectly 😁
I bought dainese trail skins pro in size small but they are little to big for me 🙁

They come up really big!
Thinking of getting a set of Dainese Trail Skin Pro. How would you guys rate the durability?
So far so good for us 😊 the Velcro on steves has started to curl a bit but mine are still fine
@@MudandnomakeupMTB thank you
What size of dainese trail skin pro knee pad you are using?
I wear the small, Steve wears the medium
Interesting topic but i can't hear what they say
You can turn on subtitles ☺️
