I'm travelling to St Annes in a few weeks for a short stay and some relaxation. I have been to Blackpool many times, but its a little full on. So I decided to explore St Annes and Lytham. Thank you for this short video. I'll certainly check out the town centre.
Morning Jane thank you for another great video I love st Anne's its such a lovely place ive been twice had a sausage roll from the bakers also walked along the seafront weathers so nice have a lovely day xx
I loved st.annes . l used to live there for two years in the 70s .There are so much developments in the town square..with new buildings. Enjoyed your great video with the updates...
As opposed to Blackpool the sirens wait for you to finish narrating the video, Jane :) I would not be parked on a bench . . . I would be looking to see if the second hand bookshop that backs onto the railway track is still there! Or enjoying Ashton Park or maybe having a look at some local history books in the library. Sadly, a craft shop on the bridge over the railway tracks that I used to be able to get some interesting papers from has closed due to retirement but there is a huge antiques emporium in one of the side streets parallel to the main drag that I would mooch around. I wonder if the "Quirky Cafe" is still in operation? Being quirky I fit right in! Good to see the wonderful Chrissie on people-observation watch!
I hope you enjoyed your time in st annes. Lovely video, most of my childhood memories are in st annes, with my mum, sister, brother and my late dad, so always great to see it featured on videos. A little gem of a town. I am glad there are plans to fill those empty shops. I look forward to seeing progress with that. We used to live near Ashton gardens, I remember JR taylors and also when there was a Woolworths, and I used to like book bargains and a shop called Eden which was where I spent most of my pocket money on Ty beanie animals they used to sell. Had many a nice stroll along the front too growing up, there used to be an old train carriage with some dolls houses and toy animals and things in it on the front, that was my equivalent of a trip to disney land going in there lol loved it. Also used to go to fair haven lake to the ice cream shop and we liked the wimpy which was by the boating lake on the front where they used to have boats you could pedal round in. Never tried the pedal boats though I’m clumsy enough on dry land. But loved watching them, always loved the flowers and gardens too, it was always kept well. Keep up the good work with the videos they always cheer me and my mum up, I don’t always watch them signed in I watch as a guest a lot because I’m not great with technology and when we watch them on the tv it’s a bit of a faff signing in on there but my mum and me do keep up with your travels whenever we get chance. Not been back to st annes in a while with one thing and another but still aiming to get there one day xx
First comment from my husband was "I've pulled in that bus stop thousand of times whilst driving for Fylde Borough". We now live in North Lincolnshire and he misses Blackpool and it's surrounds.

Hi Allan, I've got no idea which bus it is, but if you go on the Blackpool Transport website they have a route planner which will tell you exactly how to get wherever you want to go.
Hi Jane On a recent visit to fleetwood you went to the mole hole the shop that sell's charlie bear's We are down in Blackpool this week and took my other half there has she has a rather large number of these bear's Seen as though she is 60 this December I bought one for her When telling the shop assistant how I found out about the shop she looked bemused and said Never heard of it I scrolled through the video's till I found it and showed her She didn't even know you had been she was over the moon as other people might have seen it Why dont you call back and introduce yourself Sorry it's been a long winded thing but I thought you should know Mally from Workington
A lovely quiet town a family town very busy pub called No 15 gets busy a an excellent alternative called the keg and cask down a side street opposite the Town House or for a treat Chinese restaurant opposite No 15 above some shops but expensive ok for couples who just want to impress each other. Trains from the station run to Preston good quick service also a bus service to Preston ... too far by bus tiresome and crowded. train the Blackpool not advised .. very long walk to central Blackpool from the train better option is the No 17 bus from St Annes to Blackpool. good bus service to Lytham .. The Taps pub very good real ale older generation pub no juke box and no 20 year olds constantly on their mobiles
Here's the link to the 'cake crawl' video we made the same afternoon 😂 ruclips.net/video/EDIpiVQ7P5g/видео.html
