Great video. Really like your mix of humour and fun with good detailed information. I also thought I heard a slight Big Lebowski nod in there, too. Subscribed.
Yeah. I’ve heard that one before. … I have a bad habit of saying “Solar System” instead of “Solar Power System”, or “Solar Electric System”. … But I think you knew what I meant. 😝
Great All around video. Second like and still subscribed. Great job planning and editing this video. Showing not only how You got there but why. Can I imagine a Christmas video with both inside and outside decorated next??? And seriously "Cabin McCabinface"? You have a very strange sense of humour lol. What would You sell it for moved to my site??? When You hear My planned location You'll scream???
In all, it is only about 110 square feet. That includes the 8x8 main room, a 4x4 “closet” on the lower level, and a sleeping loft. Here’s an early walkthrough before it was finished inside: ruclips.net/video/u0cHeUU25xM/видео.html
Yes. It’s not actually a trailer, but it is *semi* mobile… Since I framed the component parts off-site, the wheels made it easier to maneuver the platform into place before assembling the rest. Also, putting it on wheels ensures that it qualifies as a “non-permanent structure” if it ever attracts unwanted attention from my local county officials. I talk a little more about it in a guest video I did for Deek Diedricksen: ruclips.net/video/LJjqxLFZ1Q8/видео.html
Yeah… am aware of that. And I do have enough extra chimney sections to go that high, but I have 2 problems: 1. It’s another 8-10 feet and I can’t quite reach that high. 2. I would need to somehow brace such a tall chimney… And again the distances are not so easy to span. So far downdraft has not been a problem (and it got pretty windy last winter). In this case it may be that the distance between the chimney and the pitched roof is sufficient to avoid downdraft (???) It’s funny that you’re the first one to comment on the chimney height. I expected someone to spot that sooner.
@@bigguyinatinyhouse I see your point and ya most people would see that cus there is not to many people use wood and even Fewer people no about the working of a wood stove system
how do you find "clearance" at Menards - if you type clearance into their search engine that mainly gives products with clearance in the name (not clearance price). Did you just look for the red stickers in the store - since those are the clearance prices? Ray's List used to be all clearance prices I think but now it just seems to be returned orders. A couple years ago I went through all the clearance items through Ray's List but now I don't see clearance listed. Maybe they remove the clearance during part of the year? hmmm. There's also I think other search words for Menards - I recently discovered $5 overalls on Menards clearance but I couldn't find them again. I had to type in a very specific wording to get them up. I ordered three pairs. I feel like maybe I should order more but I have a ton of overalls. One pair I keep in the Menards box unopened - those are my "church" overalls in case I ever need to dress up fancy. hahahaha. All my other overalls are way dirty and I have a ton of them - so I'm not gonna get anymore $5 one. But I really like those $5 overalls. I don't know - it's tempting to buy more of them. Brand new overalls for $5. I feel like that's payback for "Make John Money when you shop Menards!" - he's already got $20 billion dollars so I wonder how long before he makes another $20 billion. hahaha.
You have to go to the store to find the best clearance deals at Menards not on the website/app. If you shop there regularly you’ll come across stuff they want to get rid of fast and priced to move.
So proud of you dad
Thanks. Love you.

“If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re in for a rough ride”
is exactly true!
GREAT VIDEO. I love the tiny additions over time aspect. It's very nice. I lost it at the birdhouse ! Thank you for the detailed look.
Loved your cabin. Is one of of a kind also like your sense of humor. Keep it going.
Thanks! I try not to take myself too seriously.
Absolutely, gorgeous storage floor! Been watching to see that! Love the little cabin!
Thank you!
the tiny birdhouse version at the end!

Thanks 🙏🏻 ... I love The Big Lebowski.
Crates are awesome!
Thank you!
If you've ever seen it a star on a house means you own the house
Blood Pressure lowering, relaxing, informative, funny. Great watch. Especially these days.
Thanks! I’ve been trying to get myself motivated to make more. This helps.
You installed a whole solar system??? 04:19 All 9/8 planets? I'm impressed!😂
Yeah. I’ve heard that one before. … I have a bad habit of saying “Solar System” instead of “Solar Power System”, or “Solar Electric System”. … But I think you knew what I meant. 😝
@bigguyinatinyhouse yes, just couldn't resist...
Great job. Excellent video!
Thank you!
Excellent cabin!! Impressive and well thought out
Thank you!
Oh, they called one of the lifeboats of the Attenborough ship Boaty McBoatface in the end I believe.
Yes. I was still disappointed they didn’t name the big ship Boaty McBoatface.
It's soooo cute. You should be proud ❤.
Great work!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Nice cabin, very well thought out and quality materials
Thank you!
You did a good job!! Maybe your next cabin will be bigger!!

Unfortunately, I just don’t have time to decorate it this year. But next year…
красота!!!
Can we see the WHOLE HOUSE? I am interested in seeing it all as I might want to build something very similar!
Hmmm 🤔 Not sure I understand what you’re looking for. … Pretty much everything can be seen in the video.
@@bigguyinatinyhouse How many square feet? Is there a loft?

@@bigguyinatinyhouse Thank you! That really helps me figure out the TH. I love it! I appreciate you replying.
I love your cabin. Is there a reason it's built on wheels, do you plan to move it some day?
Yes. It’s not actually a trailer, but it is *semi* mobile… Since I framed the component parts off-site, the wheels made it easier to maneuver the platform into place before assembling the rest. @@bigguyinatinyhouse very cool, thanks.
Hilarious..different people's shirts!😂
The makes my day when a checkout person at the store says “Have a nice day, Matt!”
The top of your chimney has to be above the peak of the house If not the wind blows over the top and blows back down your chimney causing smoke inside

Are you able to take a diarrhea in there or do you have to like go somewhere else to do that sort of activity
Well… As of right now there is no fancy indoor plumbing. But I am planning to buy or build a compost toilet for it in the near future.
I thought diarrhea takes you.
