I've had one about 6 weeks. My only criticism is the tuners are too close to the nut. I see your hand also contacts the A-string tuner. I find for some chords, it really stops my hand getting to the position where I want it. It is beautifully made, and I too have added some foam to quieten it down, as it is very loud.
Sorry for the delay in responding -- I only. Just noticed your comment. No the only adjustment was a piece of bubble wrap to mute it slightly. It sounded fine straight from the box.
Yes I do believe you're right 😊One more thing Garry concerning the deering..what are the fret edges like? Sharp ok nice? Thanks very much for your help
Glad you mentioned the volume - someone said I should get one with a resonator!
Garry, very nice sound, thanks for posting this!

Nice review.Many thanks.I,m tempted.
Nice video Garry and a great instrument,,one question, did you have to do much adjusting to get that sound or did it sound like that out of the box?

Excellent
Thank you Garry.
how heavy is it ? good tuners ?
Very much a tenor banjo sound ...
what's the song you're playing in your video?
Brian King: It's not a song, Brian. Just a sequence of chords.
Ok I thought it was 5 feet tall but I was mistaken but it was nice anyway 😁
Brian King : Actually, Brian, Five Foot Two would fit those chords; so would Ain't She Sweet.

Brian King : The fret edges are fine; as you'd expect from Deering craftspeople.
