This should become a sub series, where you taste test all the fast food places that are vegan
Almost every time I come back to the US the first thing I eat is two bean burritos from Taco Bell, no cheese, add lettuce, rice, potato, and get it grilled. It’s so good!
I feel like del taco gets so much hate but their veggie burrito is one of the BEST fast food options if you're veggie! So good!
I’d rather spend $8 at chipotle than $5 at Taco Bell.
Facts!! I LOVE their bean and cheese burritos so underrated seriously
@@InappropriateShortsproblem is you can’t spend 8 dollars at chipotle anymore, all the hacks get patched, and Taco Bell is mad slept on anyways
@@mirwareprodzthe speak for yourself. I spend $8 there and tbell is was and always will be trash
@@InappropriateShorts Taste is Subjective
Taco Bell gets a lot of flack but whenever I've had to travel to the US, Taco Bell has saved me when I've been in the middle of nowhere at some interstate rest stop and needed to eat.
@@Marine_Veteran_Vegan_Gamer Taco Bell veggie options never did that to me. And I have ibs 🫥
Yes. I've only resided in US, but especially a quarter century ago, I was appreciating Taco Bell in a pinch.
@@Marine_Veteran_Vegan_Gamer fr, I saw this one girl complain about being in the bathroom every 20 minutes after eating it but showed a video of her eating ever bite with a packet of Diablo sauce💀
This was great! I'd love to see something like Burger King vs Carl's Jr.
Thanks for sharing! My two favorites would have to be the black bean crunchwrap from Taco Bell and the Beyond veggie burrito with guacamole from Del Taco!
this is so beautiful! i just recently tried the bean burrito al tacobell.... it's amazing lmao, i just feel so loved when there's vegan options at a place i used to love
Really love your channel man! Thanks for the great content!
No Del taco by me but I like the bean and rice burrito from TB though never added jalapeño to it. Hate paying extra. Add lots of the Fire sauce though. The crunchwrap sounds good and love the cinnamon twists. They discontinued the tostada which was vegan without cheese and sour cream. I've Tried the 7 layer or vegetarian burrito Al fresco comes with guacamole. Agree about the sugary drinks too. Carry a water bottle in my car all the time. Now I'm craving it! Lucky for me, I have a vegan Mexican small business restaurant to support but TB is convenient sometimes
Love the fresco/bean crunch wrap supreme. My go to order at the bell
Danggg I didn’t know there was so many vegan options that can be made at Taco Bell! That’s goated!
Try the non-freeze Baja Blast. My wife is not a fan of overly sweet things and also isn't much into the Baja freeze, but she always gets the regular soda.
My taco bell go-to is a cheesy bean and rice burrito, no cheese, no jalapeño sauce, add potatoes, add red sauce, sub refried beans to black beans. So you get black beans, rice, potatoes and red sauce. 2 of those used to run me $3.21, I lived on that for a while. Try it out if you get the chance!
This is awesome, id love to see more fast food reviews!
Excellent video as always! I rarely order fast food these days, but this is very helpful in case I ever do feel like splurging on Taco Bell or Del Taco.
At Taco Bell I order a spicy potato taco fresco and a burrito fresco then wrap the taco with the burrito. I add a bunch of hot sauce to it. I call it the beast.
The crunchtata is usually my favorite but it needs to be eaten fast
i didn't know you can get anything fresco i just got the veggie burrito bean burrito and potato taco.
thanks for the idea i would like to try fresco crunchwrap next time
For my Aussie vegans... I like to get a mucho veggie burrito at Salsas. Better option than most of our Mexican places and comes vegan with guac without having to mess around with the order. And I don't miss cheese in it like I would with some other places. Their fries have milk in the seasoning though so if you want fries you gotta ask for fresh ones with just salt.
At Taco Bell, I always get two bean burritos and one black bean crunchwrap with potatoes. And if I'm feeling saucy, an additional black bean chalupa or Mexican pizza (all dairy free of course.
free of course and vegan of course amen!!!!!!!!!!!!! GESARA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mmmmmm! What a feast! A surprising amount of choices for both restaurants.
I miss the veggie fiesta burrito 😞 so sad they discontinued it
Really nice video, I really liked the vegan hot dog ranking video so I enjoyed this one too
I was wondering what I should have for lunch and thanks to your video I shall be ordering a vegan Taco Bell order via DoorDash
I posted my lunch on Instagram and tagged you. I now have a very happy stomach. Oh, and my taste buds ain’t doing too bad either. 😂 🌯 🥤
I haven’t had Taco Bell in probably 10 years because I’m gluten free but I just looked and I could probably get power bowl and rice/beans bowl and crunchy taco modified. Might have to give it a try if I’m getting food for my kids. I’ve never even seen a del Taco before but I live on the east coast.
I have never had a soggy Crunchtada. They've always been crunchy. I think getting beans and sauce on a crunchy shell and then letting it steam in the box/bag all the way home is inevitably going to result in sogginess. For that reason, I can't 100% agree with this review. That said, you have created some pretty interesting customizations on the TB / DT menus!! Thanks for the ideas!
Wish we had a Del Taco here so I could try😢❤. But great review! Also knowing Taco Bell, they always have to mess up a part of your order. I swear. But I still love Taco Bell🥰💕
Great and fun video, as always! Thanks for those good ideas to get at Taco Bell..... (No Del Taco out here in the northeast)...
Del Taco any day! If you eat soon after getting your food (we picnic in the parking lot) the fries are rarely wilted. Also, the Crunchtada is amazing! It’s always crunchy. Beyond tacos or sub Beyond meat on any item is so good! Del Beef Burrito is my fav to sub Beyond with. And Del Taco Ingredients seem more fresh and of a higher quality than Taco Bell. The shells. The beans. The tomatoes. Etc. But I do love me some Taco Bell bean burrito!!!!! Classic!
Me too. I have never had a soggy Crunchtada. They've always been crunchy. I think getting beans and sauce on a crunchy shell and then letting it steam in the box/bag all the way home is inevitably going to result in sogginess. For that reason, I can't 100% agree with this review.
All of the Taco Bells in my area keep telling me that they changed the guacamole recipe, and it's no longer vegan. The website hasn't been updated since I last checked, but I would ask the staff if their guacamole is fresco or not.
Great work as always 👏
Try the powerbowl at taco bell with extra rice, beans, Guacamole and potatoes with red sauce! It's soooo yummy. I love taco bell. My community does not have del taco but I wish we had a place that sells vegan meat other than Burger King!
Please do more of these. You have a similar palette to me! Yummy!
I load up my stuff, usually. For my chilupa, I get potatoes, refried beans, lettuce, and tomato. For everything else, I get all the veggie options and max it out.
You could ask if the refried beans have lard in them...i thought refried beans have lard unless labeled vegan...
@@holly5809 When I checked the ingredients, I didn't see any animal products listed. I'll check again.
DEL TACO DISCONTINUED THEIR BEYOND MEAT FYI FELLOW VEGANS
next time just get the baja blast zero
Hey Thee Burger Dude!! I grew up in L.A. and I used to love the pastrami sandwiches from Louis Burgers and the colossal classic with pastrami from BoBo Burgers. Would you consider trying a vegan dupe of these two sandwiches??
I always get the black bean power bowl and some chips at taco bell… its great! …I haven’t been there in a while… maybe they don’t have it anymore…
Wow, this opens up whole new possibilities! Sweet! Who knew?
I wish they carried vegan cheese options
I always go to Del taco, get the 2 tacos. I love the fries.
Great video! I am hungry for taco bell now 🌮 🌯
How did you order this much from taco bell and they didn't mess up your order?
I've never had any issues when I order with the app. I also check the receipt before leaving to make sure it's all good.
@TheeBurgerDude I always have to go inside and order then double check the food before leaving the store and have still had them mess up
I’ve found cheese shreds in my cheeseless order at Taco Bell before, probably due to the messiness of the prep area. So I’ve steered away from Taco Bell for like 2 years now
I don't know if you have done this already, and if you have please let me know. I would love a truly phenomenal vegan Ruben sandwich.
Hi Brian. Quick question. In these videos did you ever have to try real meat as a reference for replicating its vegan counterpart? Or do you remember the taste of the real material from before you went vegan?
Anyways great video!
I wish i could have tried the bun taco before del taco abandoned us. Didn't even know you could sub in beyond meat
I've only ever had a bean burrito from taco bell. It's ok. My question is, are they frying things in the same oil as meat products, and are they grilling on same grill as meat products? I've been vegan 20 ish years and when I go someplace that says beyond meat etc and it makes me sick I go back and watch them cook it. Yep same grill as meat. French fries go in the same fryer where meats have been. So I am a little cautious about it. I just don't eat at fast foods anymore. I have made your burritos and.soft.tacos.and.they were awesome. And.i didnt.have to be cautious.
Cross contamination is definitely a thing with these places!
@@TheeBurgerDude yes, I'll stick with yours
I love del taco its my go to
Del Taco stopped selling Beyond (at least in my area) several months ago, but never updated their website. Beyond disappointing!
I could never think about being Vegan but I love these videos
I hate del taco and Taco Bell haven't been there in 10 years. I'm convinced its poison. im here because I like the channel. hahahahahaha
“Newborn Chalupa” 😂😂😂😂
That was amazing!
I think you could add 1 or 2 points to each of these rankings if you exclusively used Del Scorcho hot sauce 🤤
For those who DO like salads...: the Del Taco salad with Beyond Meat, minus dairy, is really yummy.
i love your channel!
Me too!
Thank you!
the ONLY fast food or really any restaurant food I ve eaten in several years is large fries from 5 Guys.
Home made is way better way cheaper
Baja blast is just Mountain Dew and Blue Powerade
All the Del Tacos in my area closed down, never had it before so this was disappointing.
Looks delicious!
Do you happen to have a recipe for the creamy jalapeño sauce from Taco Bell?
Yep it’s linked in the description!
someone said they put bleach in the taco sauce. wtf mate? make the food industry sane again! replicators!
Why did you write this? This is slander.

I love your channel so much. I want to be your friend in real life haha. We would eat a lot of good food together :)
Your incredible!!!
At taco bell, you can replace any ingredient with any other ingredient: this is basically endless vegan munchies 👍
DelTaco FTW! 👍
i've never had a del taco, think the closest one is hundreds of miles away. taco bell is everywhere. i have found i'm untrusting of them though. many times i've ordered fresco and still they would add cheese or sour cream. i would always check before driving off. waiting for the day there may be a 100% vegan chain with a drive-through that everyone can enjoy but vegans can enjoy above all else without fear of wrong orders. i tried a baja blast once, the zero sugar version but i didn't get the hype. it was so sweet yet also tasted like nothing. so strange.
tbh being vegan and vegetarian so long before that i literally don't have much opinion on most places as they had almost nothing i could eat so i simply never ate at any of them. the WORST thing to me is things labeled as 'plant based' but it's not vegan. one example: starbucks has a beyond patty breakfast sandwich i think but there's real cheese and i think even the bread has milk in it. and we know all their things are made and frozen beforehand so it isn't like you can ask for it assembled a certain way because they don't do that. it sucks!
Just be careful about the quac at Taco Bell. Not sure if it’s diff by location, but a manager at mine told me the quac was not vegan as it has dairy in it! I was so annoyed.
That is incorrect per their website. Please go back and correct the manger.
all i can tell you is i would absolutely hate to have been working taco bell that day
How in the hell did you eat all of the food
haha I only ate a couple bites of each and saved the rest for later! I was absolutely not hungry for the rest of the day tho!
Can you do on fast food Vegan Burgers next. Please
I was just saying! The only ones I know are the whopper, carl's jr. and fatburger. I might do a video where I taste test them and then make them better at home?
@@TheeBurgerDude sorry. I must of missed it. Thanks for telling me you said it.
No I haven’t made that video yet. I meant I was just talking about that with somebody 👍🏼
Soy curls need a fast food plug
otter pop????
I'm a bean burrito guy, but maybe I just haven't tried a newborn chalupa yet.
Me too! I've recently just been getting a couple bean burritos with different fillings.
Taco bells chalupa shells aren't vegan
Lifelong vegitarian; was so excited when they came out with the beyond meat at Del Taco. Tried it the first day it was available and I got horrible food poisoning - things were coming up and down. Never had Del Taco since lol
Perhaps the food prepper accidentally gave you animal meat? I've heard from lots of vegetarians and vegans that they got sick when (accidentally or intentionally) eating meat -- I haven't eaten meat for decades, and never go to fast food places because I'm worried this very thing would happen, so I can't speak from personal experience. xD
@@IDontWantThisStupidHandle You know what, you might be right. First time that ever happened lol
It could be that they were weren’t used to how to prepare it when it first came out. Veggie meat usually takes longer to cook. Unfortunately, it’s now discontinued.
i got fresco stuff at taco bell and still felt ucky afterwards do they put baby poo in the guac?
homemade is much safer
Why did you write this?
Del Taco >
Man I really wish I could eat Taco Bell. Every time I try their vegan options it makes me sick 😢
At 3:20.... looks like chicken to me, not potatoes.
I swore off Taco Bell in college. They never get it right and it’s not even food.
Make sure you tell them you’re vegan at Taco Bell! I worked there before and sometimes on tacos they would add meat and then remove it if they got the order wrong leaving regiments of the meat sauce on the shell, totally against protocol but it still happened with some employees even going as far as attempting to remove sour cream after it was added by accident instead of scrapping the whole burrito, really bothered me how like 50% of the people there would do this with anti-vegan options or items that could cause allergens
Considering dairy is a deadly food allergy this would be considered a crime in some cases.
Try Vegan Vs Fries 🍟
You mean taste test all the vegan fast food fries?
I worked at taco bell. They told me that they have dairy in the guacamole. Also, so much cheese gets thrown into tomatoes and guacamole that it's impossible to eat vegan there. I ate their guac for a month before anyone told me. 😰
The TB guac is certified vegan according to their website!
This is easily debunked. And people have been eating vegan at Taco Bell for decades.
I’m pretty sure your toilet gave this experiment a 0 / 10
Neither of those places affect me in that way! Never have!
Taco Bell is the only fast food restaurant I will currently buy from. I do not think fast food restaurants are safe. You have these untrained nitwits working there.
I see plenty of fast food and regular restaurants mess up vegan orders.
You do realize veganism is unhealthy right? At least not without supplements, I think I'll keep eating meat.
Most diets consumed require supplementation. The primary difference is vegans have, whilst adopting their new diet, had to consider the nutritional adequacy of what they're eating. But thank you for your concern and, indeed, keep eating what you wish!
Eating animal meat isn’t currently illegal, so that is your choice. Being vegan is significantly healthier.
Does Taco Bell reduce the price when you take away ingredients from the base food? I see them happily add for extras, but I don't see your price go down for taking anything away...
