I LOVE how much they expand Morris’ character in SVE. He’s not just a soulless corporate goon, and he really comes to love Pelican Town and considers Shane his most trusted employee by the end, idk, I just love that. A redemption arc was just what the doctor ordered.
After watching this, I couldn't even continue playing community center route. Joja route is by far more satisfying and fair to Pelican Town rather than controlled by Lewis with his all controversy and being scammed by Pierre. Plus, Morris doesn't have to go. I only want to see Junimo more in action, but oh well at least citizen are more happy with the new facilities.
@@definitelyhuman4510 It isn't as simple as that. All the Joja employees hate their work, Morris exploits them, underpays them (read the letter at Pierre's) and treats them horribly (cutscene when they have the meeting). Plus they cause environmental destruction in the valley, leave Susan locked at the train trecks area for a whole month, sell low quality food (Jodi's comments) and if you think about it - how do they afford these low prices? By exploiting others. It is the truth in RL and it is heavily implied in SDV. It isn't possible otherwise. So yeah if you don't care about anyone else it seems good, but if you take a closer look, everybody looses. Pierre is an asshole, yes, but he isn't as bad as Joja. Plus, the villagers tell you in their dialogue that they love the community center.
@@rauchschwalbelp7693 you make it more complicated than it seems. It's clear that Morris changed his way as the story goes further. I don't deny Joja, under Morris, caused lot of bad things for Pelican Town in the process but they also cleared up their problem pretty well. Pelican Town now got more exposure, they are no longer secluded community and they have better connections to society. Joja route also provided more entertainment access, increasing business and investment opportunity, and the most important is providing affordable price for what farmers and those who couldn't afford stuff Pierre sold (which he claimed to be higher quality, but turns out the quality just the same when you use it). Also, you don't seem to understand about how economy works. They can provide cheaper stuff because they can order products in bulk. Meaning they have stable source than Pierre who only relies on the local market and his limited connection. When there's much more supply than demand, of course the price crash. The fact that they sold it cheaper that way shows that they aren't based on irl greedy capitalism mindset like US pharmaceutical industry (or anything western products, really) who created the sense of scarcity and marked up insulin price to be like 10 times in order to pursue the highest profit which the cost of production turns out to be like just a couple bucks.
I hope you know that your stardew playthroughs have been the only thing I've been able to sleep to for weeks now. Thank you so much for making another mega movie!
It's interesting how SVE completely turns the Joja route around from being a "lazy" option to something that might genuinely be more appealing than the CC route, if you think about it. Morris isn't a cartoony, mustache-twirling villain NPC anymore, and it doesn't feel right to ruin things for him because of his determination and insane working hours, which is very much how the player character gets successful as well. Then there's the fact that Andy relies on Joja, and his farm is already hitting on hard times. I think that the community center being largely ignored by the town is actually a lovely touch, as it's another sting in the tail that proves it's a relic of the past, and it being reopened hasn't changed much. It's still fun because of the challenge in acquiring items, but I think I'll go with Joja for my next playthrough.
According to a playthrough I saw, Joja going under doesn’t actually affect Andy negatively, but I do think about the employees losing their job and if there’s a solution for them
the issue with this is Joja co. has done several other worse things, such as using lobbying to gain the ability to do mining in the valley to the detriment of the townsfolk and overworking their employees to (in one case, literal) death. Even if SVE writes Morris into an actual character and not the 1-dimensional face of Stardew Valley’s Jojamart, Joja co. itself is still the corrupt company stereotype concernedape wrote it to be.

I’ve always thought that Joja was evil until I watched some videos about it. Sam and Shane keep their jobs, it’s useful after finishing it cause the movie theater replaces it while the community center really doesn’t to anything and only a handful of villagers actually go there. And Joja does have better prices. Wow. Pierre is the evil one.

About sam not playing music at his 8 heart event it’s because you skipped his 2 heart event
Also on Joja day Susan will be at Pierre’s all day
Now I hate morris because I’m not removing my precious smol apple people
Day 2 of watching (Well listening to) this
"I will immediately forget about the joja sale"
Forgets once, goes every time after that.
i learnt my lesson from those full priced crops 😂
💗 the color filter!
seeing the little joja cafe I wonder if playing with Market town would be fun, I haven't made much progress with a save with that mod but from what I know you can get different places to sell different things :D
I always go for Community center route. Because its feels better.
But, who can deny how goos SVE Expanding Joja route
I'm new to your Chanel. I loved this movie. Can I please tell you that you can summon the tractor everywhere? Greenhouses, on the island, in caves... did you know that? Just press the backspace and vupti...I loooove the tractor ❤️❤️
Fun fact, it always rains on Alex's Birthday.
YIPPEE WE GOT 300 DAYS MOVIE
Don't know if you said it but why didn't you use the tractor in the mines?
Thank you I love this perfect for background noise
2:09:24 Jsyk the same thing happened to me on a fully vanilla play through on my Nintendo Switch! The game said I was missing 16 walnuts and I thought I was going crazy!! I found out about the recount nuts command from the SDV discord, and I was right that I had found them all! It saved my perfection run tbh. I feel better knowing it happened to someone else lol.
I think i'd enjoy doing a joja mart run in this, but I would feel so guilty being mean to the junimos
Saaame. It's a hard choice between making Morris do the ":3" face and actually making a good decision for the community and nature :(
to be fair, cranberries should always be damp lol
Rocky and Ginger, eh?
I didn't realise you watched Aardman.
The worst about the SVE Joja route is a world without Apples
I love the frog he’s just a froggy gungan ♥️♥️
i always feel horrible for even looking to joja because normal SV Joja is awful, but then this mod makes it seem better, and not real life corporate green
