If viewers haven't experienced this in real life, let me tell you _it is magical_. It looks even more amazing than on video. And the snow seems to absorb a lot of sound, so there's a very peaceful quiet all around.

It's awesome. I've been to Takayama 5 years ago in spring, and this snowy atmosphere is really wonderful. The only missing element is Lady Snowblood, waiting behind some of the wooden gates and eager to decorate the snow with red.
