I'm Australian, so I didn't have a part in this election, but it's really telling when minorities turned out in droves and voted Republican, a lot for the first time (like yourself). The Democrats are just using Minorities for their vote, you won't be heard, you won't be looked after. At least with Trump, you will get benefits, some things may not go your way, but that's life. @@adalia4455 "wanting to" and "actually accomplishing" that are two very different things. I haven't heard about this particular plan to get rid of DOE at all. Where did you hear about that? Trump campaign promises don't mention anything about higher education. There is a section in the official Republican GOP Platform document that specifically calls out reducing the cost of higher education. That being said, honestly, I think student loans are a plague on the young adult population. For one, getting a degree doesn't guarantee them jobs in the workforce. Neither does a degree guarantee them better pay than a trade starting as an apprentice to gain knowledge and experience. IF they get a job, they're still stuck trying to pay off the loan and ridiculous interest rate. So they're not really making more money, net. Not every high school graduate needs higher education, nor stands to truly benefit from it. For certain careers such as medicine and engineering, sure, that's probably necessary. But you don't need an English degree or an Arts degree to be a successful author or musician or artist. Society needs people to work jobs that are not desk jobs. We need construction, manufacturing, infrastructure. Plus, not every person fits comfortably into the desk job archetype. IF a young adult wants to follow a career path and it really requires specialized education, then their parents should have a college fund or some savings started to set their child up for success in early adulthood. I'm in agreement with a lot of what Dave Ramsey has to say about college planning as parents. Recommend looking up his money management content. Financial Peace is excellent.

I think we're all pretty much just pissed at the Democratic party for constantly spamming us the last few months with texts, phone calls, flyers, and canvassers at our doors or waiting out infront of grocery stores or CVS. Also, every single advertisement was election related, whether it was from the radio, RUclips, Facebook, etc. Harris had a ton of money invested in this state. Plus, the fact that the liberal party is completely unhinged and out of touch with what the average American wants also helped.
I can't unhear her nagging voice from the ad starts with, "Not tomorrow. Not later. Today. We need you to donate today." Whereas Trump's was far less abrasive and he added, "Donate only if you can. You need to take care of yourself and family first."

I'm Australian, so I didn't have a part in this election, but it's really telling when minorities turned out in droves and voted Republican, a lot for the first time (like yourself). The Democrats are just using Minorities for their vote, you won't be heard, you won't be looked after. At least with Trump, you will get benefits, some things may not go your way, but that's life. I think that Trump is trying to make not just the U.S. But the world a better place, even if he is chaotic and seems to have no clue at times. Trump set out goals, Harris just said things like 'Trump is a dictator, he's garbage'. She didn't even say what she was going to do.

@@adalia4455 "wanting to" and "actually accomplishing" that are two very different things. I haven't heard about this particular plan to get rid of DOE at all. Where did you hear about that? Trump campaign promises don't mention anything about higher education. There is a section in the official Republican GOP Platform document that specifically calls out reducing the cost of higher education.
That being said, honestly, I think student loans are a plague on the young adult population. For one, getting a degree doesn't guarantee them jobs in the workforce. Neither does a degree guarantee them better pay than a trade starting as an apprentice to gain knowledge and experience. IF they get a job, they're still stuck trying to pay off the loan and ridiculous interest rate. So they're not really making more money, net.
Not every high school graduate needs higher education, nor stands to truly benefit from it. For certain careers such as medicine and engineering, sure, that's probably necessary. But you don't need an English degree or an Arts degree to be a successful author or musician or artist. Society needs people to work jobs that are not desk jobs. We need construction, manufacturing, infrastructure. Plus, not every person fits comfortably into the desk job archetype.
IF a young adult wants to follow a career path and it really requires specialized education, then their parents should have a college fund or some savings started to set their child up for success in early adulthood. I'm in agreement with a lot of what Dave Ramsey has to say about college planning as parents. Recommend looking up his money management content. Financial Peace is excellent.

As someone from Pennsylvania. I think we're all pretty much just pissed at the Democratic party for constantly spamming us the last few months with texts, phone calls, flyers, and canvassers at our doors or waiting out infront of grocery stores or CVS. Also, every single advertisement was election related, whether it was from the radio, RUclips, Facebook, etc. Harris had a ton of money invested in this state. Plus, the fact that the liberal party is completely unhinged and out of touch with what the average American wants also helped.
The same ad 3 or 4 times an hour… the same ad back to back… when you live with someone who watches TV at top volume, it was a _ lot_ 😂

Wisconsin native here! I moved to Massachusetts back in the spring but made a trip back to WI specifically to vote red all the way down in state that my vote would actually matter. So glad it paid off!
