bros gonna turn to the grey hawk by the time he finishes all the nations
Only if you use F11 😂
@@jacksonmckinney ???
@TheRedHawk Minor correction: you did NOT play Aden! So Yemen will be your last nation unless you try a trick with Zulu.
Yes please. There are many people just talking about the dev diaries. Here I like the focus on your perspective and how things will make you play the game (probably).
To think that all this pain could have been avoided if ISP hadn't had a random dream about the A to Z idea
ISP should show solidarity with Red Hawk's pain by starting an artillery only A to Z series

3,000+ nations, at one video per day, that's 10 years of content, which will be just in time for EU6.
Tbf he only does ones with unique ideas, and at game launch that will be like 30 nations total
One video per week and he still _wouldn't_ cover it 'til EU6 at Paradox's rate. EU (2000) ... EUII (2001) ... EUIII (2007) ... EUIV (2013) ... EUV (2025?) ... at that rate, EUVI will come out in 2038. 1 year (twice), then 6 years (twice?), then 13 years (twice?).

Imperial prelates were abbeys, provosts, and other clerical lands that were directly subservient to the Emperor.
“Imperial abbots, provosts and priors were formally known as Reichsprälaten (Imperial Prelates)” - Wikipedia on princely and imperial abbeys
in short, the other theocracies besides the three electors
@@fusssel7178 The electors aren't the only bishoprics lmao, boso.
@@genovayork2468 and a bishopric is a theocracy. Did I say something wrong?
@@fusssel7178 You said bishoprics didn't exist except the three archbishoprics.
@@genovayork2468 is my english that bad? The imperial prelates are the theocracies (bishoprics, knightly order and so on) that exist besides (meaning also/additional to) the three archbishopric electors...
We will hear the famous "i wish the lord would take me now" a lot more it seems
With how many nations are in the HRE in EU5, it might be worth having 3 series:
Regular Nations A-Z
HRE Nations A-Z
Releasables A-Z
That would ensure more variety in episodes through out weeks vs the risk of playing in the HRE 10 times in a row for A-Z.
pain
By the time you're done with EU5 A to Z, they'll announce EU6
Voltaire's aneurysm
Let's watch American Pie.
23:20 Also Aachen is de jure capital of the HRE, so it is a very fitting start for any Grand Strategy game. ;)
edit: Aachen was de jure capital of Kingdom of Germany (the main part of HRE) not the whole Holy Roman Empire.
No. The de iure capital was Rome.
@@genovayork2468 Hmmm... I am not sure no. It may have been than Aachen was de jure capital of Kingdom of Germany, while Rome was de jure capital of whole HRE.
I like the idea, but I would like to suggest that you consider the possibility of not doing it strictly alphabetically. Like, you would still do season A, B, C etc...but inside those seasons, you might have like 10 consecutive HRE nations to play, which would make you do a lot of similar videos in a row. So to prevent that, you could put some other nations of the same season inbetween those that are too similar in starting location and situation. I also think that you could consider waiting the list to be out. Because if there is enough content at launch, instead of all the nations, you could play all the nations with unique tech, which are the way EU5 will implement national ideas.
Imperial Prelates are sovereign abbeys, they're independent of all overlords except the emperor
Also, you should play every tag as a check list, so while playing all the existing ones you have to also tick off all the ones that don't exist at game start (e.g. form Arabia, release Malta or Meissen etc)
Mr Hawk, I must say your hair and moustache are looking most excellent! In regards to EUV however, I envy your dedication to suffering so that we needn't.
you should really finish the series with a custom nation. "Ze Red Hawk". and I really hope this feature is added to EU5
I think maybe a region skip rule if you get sick of a place like you had for a bit in A to Z would be a good idea. If for whatever reason alphabetically keeps you in the same region and you get burned out then just come back to it later, so it stays fresh
Imperial prelates are theocracies that aren't part of any bishopric. Basically the same thing as an imperial city in that it sorts directly under the empire rather than under a bishop or a prince but it's not a republic it's a theocracy. The lands ruled by the abbot of an individual monastery pretty much.
I honestly think this game has potential to be released as early as 2024 or even early 2025. From the looks of things and what the devs have said, the game is already pretty much done. The devs have been playing it themselves by the way it sounds. All they’ve been doing is showing us the different mechanics and features, and polishing things up based on our feedback. I think there’s a very good chance this could be playable way sooner than we might expect.
In game, a prelate is a theocracy of the HRE like Magdeburg, Trier, Saltzburg etc.
Too bad the free city of Aalen, my home / birth city didn't get included. Would've been the second tag alphabetically, right behind Aachen.
It wouldn’t be a few imperial city by 1337
@@B_men_apo no, but it got promoted into a free city in 1360.
@theredhawk I will be seeing you play all of these. I really love seeing you struggle and succeed mostly every unique national idea or each releasable.
In short: you can simply consider Imperial Prelates are these theocracy guys in HRE in EU4
I think a fun ending to A-Z would be to play as Jan Mayen. A shame that their name doesn't begin with Z.
I think imperial prelates are just ruling bishops/clerical sovereigns who aren’t the prince-bishop electors of Trier, Mainz, and Cologne. So like Munster, Salzburg, Aquileia, Liege, etc.
They better add a belgium formable since its the only nation that you cant form in any game but exsists at some point in the paradox line up
1. Imperial prelates is just theocracies in the HRE. Bishoprics and the sort.
2. Personal Unions will NOT be a subject-master relationship. They're supposed to be equal, at least initially.
This will make vassal swarm to a whole new level 🔥🔥
I started watching your channel through the A2Z series! At first I'd watch only Laith and Alzabo play eu4 (guides are not my cup of tea) and isorrow play hoi4 a2z. I was hoping for this sort of content on eu4 to learn fun obscure nations to play and then you came along. Your style is really engaging and also very different from isorrow
Fun Fact: Aachen even has a spa bath (Bad in German), so they could name themselves Bad Aachen (similar to Bad Kreuznach, Baden Baden, Wiesbaden and so on) which traditionally upgrades the reputation in Germany and is given as award from the German state. Hell, some of them even are world cultural heritages because of their spa baths. But Aachen wanted to stay the first city mentioned in every German chart (and stay the first nation to be played by red hawk) , so they never used that name :-)
Aachen is very fitting. It was the city in which most Emperors had their crowning ceremony.
Maybe for the first 5 - 10 tags, it would be a good idea to live stream the process (if you are doing A-Z from EU5 release). I think it would be PAIN for us all to learn the game together 😂😂
I would like to see A-Z be like Releasables where you spin the wheel and play a random country, there would be a lot more variety and randomness.
Fun Fact time!
France wasn't homogeneous at all in the past, if you go just a little over 100 years back, the only region of France that spoke "French" was around the area of Paris. everywhere else had their old culture and dialects.
Praying for you 🙏
this is the first red hawk video ive seen in a it and it threw me off to see him with hair. oh my word
Eu5 A-Z and Eu5 Releaseables, i can already feel the pain. 😅
For me it's gonna have to be holland, I always love that option of colonizing when I don't want to deal with HRE bs.
When you end A to Z, you should utilize the bug where Zulu appears when you modify the start date. You could then set it back to 1444 and go from there.
cant wait to watch the Zutphen video from the comfort of my retirement home
1:55 you just pointed to lubeck I'm pretty sure
It would be really cool if you played Zulu on the first start date it appears on to finish off the A-Z
Can't wait for my grandkids to watch you
I hope you get to make a play for the HRE title as Hungary, just like Matyas Hunyadi attempted.
Still interested in how the military and combat mechanics look in EU5. With this many nations it's bound to be a major overhaul of what we have in EU4. The map of HRE looks cluttered to me tbh. But that will probably fix itself in the game, when half of the smaller nations disappear due to war etc in the first years. HRE region looks more annoying than in EU4, can't wait to see how they change the game mechanics to make it playable.
Can't wait for him to play as the Okoshkokyéwa people
You will stay in HRE for REALLY LONG time
Do personal unions now offer more control over the subject?
Bless this man who clearly hates himself sometimes. He does it for us, and asks nothing in return.
you know whats very odd, an A to Z will likely be Aachen to Zutphen and they are almost neighbouring provinces in EU5.
I hope that we will see Corfu video before EU5 will be released.
I say switch it up for the next game. Do releasables A-Z and then every starting nation selected via the Wheel of Pain: Deluxe Edition.
Blud's gonna play eu5 before Patiala 💀
Part 126: Nation xy within the HRE with no flavour whatsoever.
A to Z challenges went from normal difficulty to hell mode.
I wish luck to anyone attempting it
This will be fun for you despite the pain and length
You have enough nations to make til eu6 in like 2035.
You mean 2045
Did you play w Nogai in A-Z
EU6 will be released by the time you're done with EU5
a slave for life
Imperial Prelates are just HRE bishoprics or monastic orders.
„Theocracies“ like Bishoprics, Prince-Bishoprics, Abbeys - but not the three electors. Not sure whether there still were Teutonic Order territories in 1337 in the HRE (outside of the Baltic); I seem to recall most of them being VERY tiny.
Imperial Prelates are just prince-bishops, so theocracies in the HRE
Prelates are clerical lands who are not electors/archbishops
absolute MADMAN
Need to rock the baldhead when you start.
Can´t wait to play... checks notes... the SHEMSHILIDS.
Wonder if WC will actually be possible :?
Bold move cotton; let's see how the pain plays out
it's so silly how they take modern distinctions like Oversticht separate from Niedersachsen, at least the fixed the silly culture separation
brother is going to be here until retirement
I wonder if you can easily get the hohenzollerns on Brandenburg
I just can't conceive of how well this game is actually going to run given how notoriously bad their game engines are. EU4 was always on the brink of dying until they gave it a much needed update and CK3 just loves attempting to strangle itself given how bloated family trees get approaching the end.
holy maccaronni your hair is great
A to Z but Hawk needs to conquer lands of next country he will play.
A to Z but Hawk needs to kill all other countries at each letter.
your hair looking great
They need to seriously give natives a big look over from the way they were in 4.
The way that was in EU4 is honestly is just historical revisionism. You are telling me that the fierce warriors of the americas could have been just wiped out with a couple of military points?
Also, technological superiority and logistics needs to be rebalanced. The Aztecs loosing to the spaniards that early on was just a historical fluke. If the mexican AI manages to secure the coasts of the mexico bay, the spanish AI shouldn't be able to ship units to the continent, unless Cuba gets fully colonized.
Ngl you're a handsome fella regardless, but I think I preferred you with out hair
Playing over 8 k nations one at the time ? Thats just slavery with extra steps 😅. Im so looking forward to your eu5 series RH 🎉
My only issue is that I'm so annoyed how bohemia is like, what, 10 locations? It looks sooo off and it's annoying me lmao
I bet after he's finished eu6 will still be in development
Big pain
Bro is gonna lose his mind when he has to play the 7th silesian minor
Don't hold what Vic3 and CK3 can't hold.😉
Finally i can play my home town. I bet you non Europeans are jealous :P.
More like non Germans lmao
The a to z challenge go!
imagine the releaseable
Can't wait for EU5 - A to retirement.
Ah yes and wait till they add even more tags post release
"one culture one faith is not gonna be possible" bro forgot about g*nocides
Pain Universalis 5
holy crap this guy grew his hair
If you spend only 1 hour on each it would take the same amount of time as my hoi4 hours
Hoping for more formables videos
It's 1337 though so Aaargh should be independent and playable.
Well, I was planning to quit assembling world map
I think now I won't, thanks
I would like to know if there is any HRE Member or Prelate thatexisted but is not in the game
...and that's without DLCs, inb4 HRE becomes over 500 nations within a couple of years 😂
I'm going to do this as well lol
Imperial prelates means archbishoprics and other religious guys
how about z to a
